I have this continuous thought of Henry and Martha dancing, and then they pause in that leaned back position, and Henry compliments her before they both start lowkey flirting with each other. Then, Henry is about to lean in for a final kiss…before someone enters the room (probably his friend) and he fucking lets go of her back, dropping Martha by accident. It takes him a couple moments to notice because he went like a deer in the headlights except shocked and flushed with embarrassment over someone seeing that.

I love shipping Henry and martha

They probably weren't the best couple but the story does imply they were college sweet hearts (aw) that fell out after marriage, Apparently it might be canon Henry was a bit like his dad as much he would kill me for saying this because he was apparently like a ticking time bomb

But LALALLALALALAL I don't hear that shi nuh uh they're still the college sweet hearts in my heart and just need to work out on it a tiny bit, in my iteration Henry is just doodoo at heart to heart communication, he doesn't wanna hear 'no' so instead of just asking for things he plays kind games which isn't fair for Martha, also he sucks at comfort, like semi sucks, if you asked him for comfort he'd ask what happened and instead of comforting her mf just picks you apart to find out what Martha did wrong to make the event happen, and he assumed it's helpful to know about it so Martha won't repeat it And as for Martha I feel like she's very clingy and abandonment issues brrr but Henry is a creature and needs his lone time and doesn't know how to tell Martha without her bursting into anxiety in his general direction lmao, So they're just messy goobers who still love eachother but need to work shit out, they kinda don't, which makes arguments and resentments (uh oh) I think they are both equally hot headed lol but if they could have a solution, THERAPY

Henry needs better communication skills and a book on women (he's Machiavellian, so he's basically a socially acceptable sociopath, and doesn't understand other people's shoes but understands his own, which makes it hard for him to compromise without thinking about advantages), And Martha needs to understand Henry is just a creature that spent so much time alone he still needs his lone time and that he's not gonna leave her he just needs me time because that's what all his life was like so he can't suddenly just become a clinger too
