As one of our first little audience participation moments, I'll have you guys pick between the two main characters for this game, Raul and Fiona, through a poll!

You see, every SRW game (except for 1. and Compact.) features one or more characters belonging to no series, and instead being created explicitly for the game they’re in; these serve as the “glue” that holds the various different plots together by giving us a big bad evil boss (who’s usually pulling the strings behind a good few of the other shows’ storylines) and a main character who you can usually name freely.

At their best, they can be just as memorable as the actual licensed characters, but at worst, they can be Poochie-like cardboard cutouts who hog screentime that could go to the actually fun characters from the licensed shows.

For what it’s worth, I think the OG plot from R is pretty good, though I'm not as familiar with Fiona’s character as Raul’s. Regardless of which character you pick, the general flow of events is the same, but Raul and Fiona will react differently to certain events and have different dynamics with different characters, and there’s a total of 4 different epilogues based on which of the two protagonists you picked and what route you choose to go down after the first episode’s route split.

To help pick, here’s a better look at their character designs:

After their designs, the most immediately obvious difference between the two are their different theme songs and endgame machines. Raul’s theme song is Over the Time Flow, and Fiona’s is Over the World Wall. I won’t be showing what the mechs look like, due to spoiler reasons, but in case anyone who doesn’t care about spoilers would like to look them up, Raul’s is the Excellence Lightning Frame, and Fiona’s is the Excellence Eternal Frame.

In terms of stats, Raul has more Melee, Defense, and Skill, while Fiona has more Ranged, Evasion and Hit. In other words, Raul specializes in Melee damage and has an easier time landing crits, and Fiona specializes in Ranged damage, and has an easier time landing hits in general. On top of that, defensively, Raul is more of a Super pilot, while Fiona is more of a Real pilot. The Super/Real distinction is legacy SRW terminology, and i plan to make posts explaining it and other SRW gameplay information in the future for people tuning in who don’t necessarily know the series very well, but for right now all you need to know is that Supers like tanking damage, while Reals prefer avoiding it altogether.

As a final distinction to help people choose, in future voice acted games where the two appear, Raul is voiced by Gou Inoue (Stain from Hero Academia, Spain from Hetalia, Biggs from Final Fantasy XIV, Keyloid from Tokyumei Sentai Go-Busters) and Fiona is voiced by Yuki Masuda (Yuki Sakakibara from Sakura Taisen, Panne and Ricken from Fire Emblem Awakening, Ukraine from Hetalia). No, I don't know why they both worked on Hetalia, I guess that's just what the 2000s were like.

Comment: WTF. This already had a live action drama. Idk but I really thought this already had a BLCD and that SatoTaku was the top. DID I JUST HALLUCINATE IT??? Also, the drama and the manga couldn’t be any more different. They just have the same name lmao. Was cute, though. I think I liked the drama better oop.

Who would have guessed that he would suggest experimenting with him?

So begins a bittersweet, mature game of love between a confident realtor and a coffee shop proprietor who has no experience with relationships.

REVIEW | "I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss" | B3 - Boston Bastard Brigade

It’s not a new concept for someone to be transported into a video game. Hell, Disney kinda did it first with Tronforty years ago! But in the anime isekai realm, there appears to be a new growing trend with people being reincarnated into their favorite dating sim games. 2020’s My Next Life as Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom cleverly went this path, with its main character Catarina doing all she could to avoid becoming the bad guy. But what happens if you found yourself transported immediately after you’ve done all of the bad things? Well…there’s nowhere else to go but even further towards the dark side, which is exactly what Aileen (Rie Takahashi) does in I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss!

The story begins right when Aileen’s fiancé Cedric (Toshiki Masuda) dumps her in favor of Lilia (Kana Hanazawa). Just as the breakup happens, Aileen’s memories from when she lived in Japan awaken, as she realizes that she’s in the world of her favorite otome game Regalia of Saints, Demons, and Maidens. Knowing that her fate is to be killed by the demon lord Claude (Yuichiro Umehara), Aileen’s gracefully accepts the breakup, and searches for Claude. Upon arrival at his castle, Aileen lays out a deal for Claude: marry her, so she won’t die like she does in the game!

Naturally, Claude doesn’t take Aileen up on her offer, instead throwing her out. But Aileen’s not one to just up and quit. Using her skills and knowledge of the game, Aileen manages to first convince Claude’s allies Keith (Jun Fukuyama) and Beelzebuth (Yuki Ono) that she means no ill intentions. After she selflessly rescues a Fenrir cub from a trap, Claude sees that Aileen’s siding with him more than the humans that fear the demon lord.

Thus begins a partnership that slowly transforms into romance. With her can-do attitude, Aileen aids in fixing up Claude’s castle, as well as fix a bit of his reputation amongst the nobles and rich folks. However, Aileen’s happiness puts Cedric in a fit, to the point where he can’t even think of Lilia out of his jealousy towards Claude. And before viewers can blink, the sides of good and evil find themselves switched.

"Mobius Chord", a new game from "+ONE by Ikemen Series" is set for release in 2024! Voice actors such as Toshiki Masuda, Shunichi Toki, Junya Enoki, and Takuya Eguchi are involved in voicing the characters!

Today on the 5th of June, "+ONE by Ikemen Series", a sub-label of Cybird's popular otome game "Ikemen Series", announced that their third project in collaboration with Kansai TV named "Mobius Chord" (メビウス・コード) will be launched in 2024.

With "Love x Time Leap x Youth" as its theme, Mobius Chord's story is about a group of college friends who formed a band together, forging friendships. However, they unknowingly grew apart from one another. The main protagonist makes use of their ability to time travel and returns to the past, thus gaining a chance to change the future in this story about youth and a love reborn.

The character designer for this project is Futaba Hazuki, who was previously involved in the character design for "Touken Ranbu". The project features 11 characters, and will also be model and actor Takumi Momose's first time taking on the role of a voice actor.
