1. Were you named after anyone?

No. My mom didnt want our names to announce who we were on applications so we all got regular smegular names. My name is of Irish origin so my yt folks customer service voice got ppl thinkin I have red hair. I mean....technically yes but its buried under my braids 🤣

2. When was the last time you cried?

At the end of The Marvels. The first end credit had me in real, actual tears. On a more serious note, I last cried before my grandma died. Yall, its fn hard being a caretaker. I was not built Ford Tuff.

3. Do you have kids?

*ahem* 🗣🗣 fuck no! 🤣🤣🤣 I dont even have nieces or nephews. Kids make me nervous and Im pretty sure they can smell the fear on me. 🤣

4. What sports do you play/ have you played?

I played basketball and softball in HS. I love and miss softball all the time even though my big behind HATES running.

Sarcasm is one of my love languages. I put that shit on everything 🤣 Physical Touch is my main one since we sharing.

Ooof, tough. Depends. Some quirk like glasses, lisp, moles. How they walk/talk, the way they laugh. I am a lurker by trade. Overly shy kid and writer by nature will do that to ya.

I am a HUGE scaredy cat. I dont do scary movies nothin! Happy endings over here! 🤸🏽‍♀️ I will enjoy a thriller but only behind my hands and mostly starring Matthew Lillard.

Definitely English. My English teacher was so fine 🥲🥲 thats not WHY it was my fave but can ya blame me 😩 I loved reading the books but I hated the themes they shoved down our throats. What if that wasnt MY interpretation of the book??? Hmmm? Some faves include: Their Eyes Were Watching God (Teacake 🥵🥵🥵), Brave New World, Bright Lights Big City (probably where my love of second person is from) , Bronx Masquerade, and The Outsiders. And FUCK the Great Gatsby. If I hear about that damn green light one 👏🏽 mo 👏🏽 fn 👏🏽 time 👏🏽😩😡 and FUCK Of Mice and Men, he aint have to do all that in the end. And DOUBLE FUCK I Know Why the Caged Bird sings. Turned my stomach when she described the SA. Lemme stop 🥴

Did I just construct an entire fan theory about how Chip from Serial Mom is Stu Macher? You better fucking believe I just did. And it actually does make sense (to me anyway, but i’m high on weekend relief so idk I think it fits).

Like hear me out- Serial Mom doesn’t really have a time setting but it was released in 1994 and the story takes place in Baltimore, Maryland while Scream is set in 1996 in California. Matthew Lillard plays Chip in Serial Mom and Stu in Scream, right? Well, that’s not the only thing the two characters have in common. First off, both are weirdly insensitive and kinda cruel although Stu is more extreme in this sense, and both are horror super fans (and Chip works at a video store which like, hello Randy??) and both love gore and morbid shit (ok but same thing). Also, both are weirdly into the idea of murder, and while Chip looks kinda flabbergasted by the idea of murder he’s also kinda really excited by the idea of it. He’s also kinda detached by how horrific the murders his mother committed are, although most other characters in the movie ARE properly horrified. He doesn’t turn against her, and let’s say he’s the most ride or die member of her family like, he’s probably his mom’s biggest fan right from the moment he hears she’s suspected of murder.

His mom is also VERY flamboyant and over the top, just like Stu is in Scream. And both have a weird relationship with the idea of rules, both really strict and really lax.

So anyway, he witnesses his mom get away with SIX murders with just as many witnesses, during trial (let’s give them leeway on how the trial goes, although I have heard of enough cases where murderers got away with it or justice wasn’t served based on bullshit loopholes and nonsense even though there was plenty of evidence right there and I don’t need to suspend disbelief too much, especially considering how closely the whole media worshiping angle mirrors the OJ trial and how part of it does sound like the Casey Anthony trial) so he’s like “I could do that too”, right? Beverly (mom) could get away with 6 murders, so wiggling out of more murder accusations is gonna be easy peasy (although she’s bold for murdering another person RIGHT after her trial, right outside the court she just came out of) and here’s how it goes: the poor dad, Eugene, is kinda stuck with a serial killer wife and two crazy kids who don’t see how bad what she did is, so he just decides to move everyone out of Maryland and try to lay low in a small town in California (where death penalty is still a possibility and Beverly LOVES that her husband is even thinking he could get away from her like it’s FUN

So they move to Cali and change names because the Serial Mom case was pretty big, they all change their looks and personas (which is how Chip, who now goes by Stu, is so good at mingling with other people by the time ‘96 rolls in whereas Misty, now called Leslie, does manage laying low and doesn’t really commit crimes and once she finds out Stu is the killer she completely breaks contact with him, but she won’t tell anyone cause that kinda opens a whole can of worms and she doesn’t want to (her whole moral system was pretty much fucked the moment she realized her mom was a serial killer).

So anyway, in Woodsboro Stu meets Billy, and he immediately sees this kid is not like all the others, and once he hears Billy’s mother left, given how Stu loves and admires HIS mother, he’s like, fuck yeah let’s do this because god i’d be a wreck too, thank fuck my mom is still around. And when Billy reveals his mother leaving is due to Sidney’s mother he’s surprised, but he’s even more sympathetic, like wow this kid has it really bad. So, here’s an alternative, homebrew motive for Stu, because yeah he’s way too insane from the start to think his “pressure” motive is anything but an excuse.

And then this theory kinda offers an alternative explanation to the ‘my mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me’ line (other than it was ad-libbed YEA I KNOW) aka dad is gonna be mad because holy shit why can’t I have a normal family, now I’ll have to move everyone again and it’s your fault Chip, and mom is gonna be mad because I got away with six murders with plenty of witnesses, I AM DISAPPOINT CHIP (and he doesn’t wanna disappoint mom!!! 😢)

This also sneaks right into the Stu Lives theory because that is THEIR house, and since it’s THEIR house and they have lots of money mostly due to dad being a successful dentist (hehehe Little Shop of Horrors) and mom knowing enough about the ins and outs and gossips around the Westboro police, they manage getting Stu’s alive body discreetly switches out for someone else’s and fake his murder.

And hey, he might move with his family somewhere close to Maryland now and go back to his previous identity now, since he’s innocent of any wrong doing when he’s Chip Sutphin.

I think I know why I like Stu but not Ethan, even though they’re the same base character: the corny white boy. Stu is a corny white boy, but he’s funny, yknow? He’s silly and goofy and zany. Ethan is a corny white boy but he’s annoying. He’s a whiny incel bitch boy that looks like Dream. So in conclusion: Stu rules and Ethan drools.

Another difference: Stu is well written. Despite the in-text misogyny and murder his character is treated as three-dimensional. He’s silly, attention seeking, he has issues with empathy, he’s a neglected kid, he’s obsessed with Billy. And these things aren’t just outright told to us in dialogue, they’re in his actions, in background details like the note on the wall from his parents, saying they’re sorry they missed his birthday. And on top of that we get Matthew Lillards performance adding layers to it all.

In contrast with Ethan we get someone who mostly talks about how he’s a virgin and definitely can’t be Ghostface. We don’t really get more than that. We get that he’s jealous of Chad but even that doesn’t feel fully played out. Ethan doesn’t feel like a character to me, he feels like a cardboard cutout of an incel played by a fairly young actor who imo just didn’t bring a lot to the role. But what was he supposed to bring? It’s not like the fucking script did him any favours.

thoughts on current dragula season?

The way I scrambled to answer this.

anyway LOVE. I'm enjoying this season immensely. I'm glad the murder skits are back, I missed them after Titans. I think the cast is really strong, Nio, Cynthia and Fantasia are my favourites. I was only following Nio prior to the season and she's phenomenal. I'm a huge fan of the kind of body distortion, glamour monster kinda drag and she does it sooooooooooooooooo good, same with fantasia. Cynthia doll i think is just insanelyyyy fucking funny she's such a blast to watch on screen and I do love how grimed up her looks feel. I'm glad there were 2 drag kingssss, even if Jarvis and Throb didn't end up being particular favourites for me.

Erm. I do like that this show has such a clear vibe difference between seasons, both from noteable budget jumps and the Boulet's generally just playing around with the format, but I dooooo miss the energy from some of the earlier seasons. I particularly miss how they edited the floorshow's, with the backing screens to add a bit more cinema ect. Also miss the on location challenges, though I assume they had more of those in earlier seasons to accommodate for the small filming space. I think they were just really unique and fun.

I feel like Titans and this both feel just a tiny bit quiet in comparison. And there's starting to be a nit picking of branding / outfit quality which irks me. And I mean that in the most micro of micro ways I just really like the mentality Dragula has towards art and taking its monsters on their individual strengths instead of trying to squash them into a Winners mold. I don't want to see that energy dwindle you know. But it's also a really common idea on drag shows that your idea and concept needs to be immediately understood to be a good outfit. If it needs to be explained then it's failed its communication. Which I loatheeeee bc what is able to be recognized depends on the judges, who r usually running off western symbolism, association and iconography. Like that being said obviously ppl miss the mark, explain the outfit all you want if you showed up as a shark to a dog challenge then something's gone awry yknow but LMAO. It's like oh ur a crusty white dog what are you doing vs. like. you came dressed up as one of those pouch shark eggs or a loan shark and it doesn't READ as shark but it is related to a shark yk yk. I think about this a lot irt to drag and character design in general. Can you tell I'm a design student who's slightly annoyed with course work. I think about this a lot haha.

anyway that aside. Season rules. I really like the floorshow themes, I loved the 2 parter for monsters of rock. I'm hoping and assuming we'll get a dnd ep since that's another one of their constants. I'm an ep behind but I know this next one is a kaiju floorshow which I'm soooooooooo excited for.

Umm I think Matthew Lillard being a guest judge and seeming like he was bewildered to be there was fuckign awesome. Saying, you know when you say drag the first thing that comes to mind is Matthew Lillard is one of the funniesttttt guest judge lines in the show to meeee

ALSO THE AMOUNT OF TIMES THAT KOCO HAS ROCKED UP AS A SPECIAL GUEST. I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU. MOTHERRRRR. she's litearlly a third boulet to me

After all this stuff that happened with poor Will Smith, I’m honestly happy to see Jada Pinkett Smith with her death scene at the beginning of this movie. I guess there is a theme with more famous people in the beginning of these movies. I never really thought of it this way.

And surprise surprise, Billy’s mother is part of the dual killers. She leaves her son behind and then all of the sudden she acts like she cares about him after he’s dead, and says this is all out of revenge. Maybe you should have taken your son with you and none of this would have even happened to begin with.

I think this is the longest show (other than greys anatomy) that I have binged and finished. I love it honestly. also got my older sister on board and she has rewatched it more times than I can count. she actually finished it before me even tho I introduced her when I was at s7 like??

I am so pissed that they cancelled this show. SO PISSED!! it would've been so amazing if it had more seasons. it already is amazing, but I am never going to shut up about how not okay I am with the cancelling of season 2. Ive been binging the Scream movies before they go off Paramount Plus and theyre pretty good. Ive never seen them before, so im binging them and ill finish with the most recent.

im watching scream 3 currently and some of my opinions on the first two are as follows:

1. Stu and Billy were good villains. It was a little predictable, but Matthew Lillard’s performance as a kid who kind of got roped into this by his friend really sold it to me. I kind of felt bad for Stu. Now he’s an awful person. But at the end when he’s crying because he’s scared to die, i kind of felt bad for him.

2.I didnt like randy at first. Obviously i like him later, and you can tell that all these people are friends, but when you first meet him he’s a little annoying. But by the second or third time we see him, he’s great. Him explaining the rules of horror movies at the party is something i would do. I love this man with my whole heart and soul

3. Dewey Riley is amazing I hope he lives forever I love this man he’s such a good person he’s so nice he’s got a great mustache

4. How fucking sharp was that knife at the beginning of Scream 2?  It went through a bathroom stall into someone’s skull. That’s 1/2-1 inch of what looks like phenolic core. That killer took time and effort to sharpen that knife. Also did they ever say why the killers killed those 2 college students? 

5. THEY KILLED RANDY WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT HE”S SUPPOSED TO END UP WITH SID THAT WAS THE OBVIOUS TRAJECTORY THAT THEY NEEDED TO GO ON 

6. Dewey doesn’t deserve this he’s already permanently injured he just needs a break leave him alone

7. While i understand that she’s important to the story I hate Gale Weathers

Favorite underrated parts of Bloodsucking Bastards:

-Everything takes place over the course of three days

-Tim

-The intern at the beginning

-The fact that it’s implied Max murders the intern in the garage like, immediately, and also Tim is there but he’s listening to music too loudly to actually realize anything is happening

-Dave’s cat

-The fact that Amanda throws Evan’s papers on the floor to use the copier in the break room

who is your favorite character in 2? Zuko, hands down. I’m so in awe of how carefully crafted his story line/redemption arc was and the complexities of his character. He’s been through so much and his trauma is shown in both the positive and negative aspects of his character but at the end of it he tries his best to do what’s right. He’s just a very, very good boy.

who is your least favorite character in 1? Anya. God I can’t stand her. Everything from her voice to her mannerisms piss me off, which is sad because a demon thrown into a mortal body having to navigate human life/relationships and the fucking schooling system had the potential to be an interesting character and but I just absolutely despise her. She’s just annoying.

what is your favorite episode of 4? oh gosh. Um I don’t remember the name of it because I haven’t seen the OG series in FOREVER and a half but the one with the robot at the closed down amusement park, I think it’s somewhere in season one.

what is your favorite season of 5? ......s3 right now, but I haven’t finished s4 yet

who is your favorite couple in 3? Daisy and Lincoln. I really loved their dynamic and I’m a sucker for Daisy actually being happy, I’m upset that they killed him off. 

who is your favorite couple in 2? Canon? Zuko and Mai, there’s something about them that just gets me emotional. Fanon? Zuko and Sokka. Dumbasses to lovers is my shit.

what is your favorite episode of 1? Oh it is a tie between Hush and Phases. I love Oz very, very much and the soundtrack of Hush is just *chef’s kiss*
