Chary: the song is Killer Instinct from Bring It On and the only thing I can think of is a) Mary comes up with some weird manipulative plan to get ahead and has to step on Charles to do it or b) high school cheerleading AU????

Chatthew: A Very Nice Prince/First Midnight/Giants in the Sky from Into The Woods, but cutting it to A Very Nice Prince because it’s easier. This works perfectly - not sure which would be the baker’s wife and who would be Cinderella (going to say Charles is the BW because he strikes me as a secret romantic - despite Matthew being very pragmatic, also like her - and Matthew being conflicted over Mary) - but anyway Matthew goes to a ball at Downton and dances with Mary two nights in a row but always leaves before midnight and ok the way home he runs into Charles in the woods and describes the night and Charles is like “is she the woman of your dreams” and Matthew’s like “idk what I want it’s complicated” (and then Charles tries to take Matthew’s shoes for a potion but we’re ignoring that) but they stay and talk and kiss despite Matthew eventually marrying Mary and Mary seducing Charles before they both die and holy duck why does this fit so well (I ship Cinderella and the baker’s wife no I don’t take constructive criticism)

Mavinia: An Operatic Tragedy from Little Women and since this is a song-ified version of Jo’s play without the actual characters interacting, I’m going to say Mary is Jo, Sybil is Beth, Edith is Meg or Amy (leaning towards Amy because Competition™️) yes we’re a sister short who cares but Jo is very queercoded and therefore Mary should be with Lavinia

chary: power by little mix this song has SO many car racing vibes so i’m gonna say racing au. there’s a lot of Car Men in downton abbey so matthew (he and mary are Good Friends in this au and lavinia is with matthew ig let them be happy ok) and tom are racers (matthew is more of a casual racer than tom who is very competitive) tho. mary is currently dating henry and he’s trying to get her into cars so he brings her to a race where she inevitably meets charles who is really cute, really good at driving and looking good while he does, and really into her. they keep meeting at races and inevitably the chary/henry triangle comes to a head when charles takes mary out in his car and they end up making out and mary has to confess to henry she’s in love w someone else. anyway this will be my new hyperfixation for the next 10 years

chatthew: temporary bliss by the cab OH NO ITS ANGST regency-era au...basically take the plot of downton abbey and set it back in the actual regency era. charles and matthew are both heirs to a grand fortune and they fall in love and become very close Gentleman Friends...that is, until the war. matthew joins the militia but charles does not (because idk illness or some shit??? did he fight in the war??? hes a TWINK they would NEVER do that to him) so it’s basically a lot of angst and charles being a scared housewife fretting over matthew when matthew is away at war hnhzjzkjgk

mavinia: tightrope by michelle williams yes its from the fuckign greatest showman. ANYWAY i guess circus au????? i cant really see how they would fit in a circus au but my god would it be hot seeing them in those sexy outfits dancing and stuff....lavinia as a trapeze artist oh my god im GAY your honor...mary would be SO fucking powerful as a ringleader hnghdzjkagjf shit
