4 Minutes Is An Eternity

I am 42 years old.

I was in college 20 years ago in 2003.

In just 20 years, I have noticed a profound shift in society.

I was born in October 1981 so I am considered an older Millennial.

I have noticed a signficant macro difference between Gen X & older Millennials vs younger Gen Z and Generation Alpha (the generation after Gen Z).

What is the one change across society in the past two decades that could account for this change?

The total ubiquitousness of social media.

Whats the change?

The shortening of attention spans and the shortening of the mind.

Songs used to be, on average, approximately four minutes long.

Go back and look at the Billboard 100 in 2003 and look at it today.

Something should immediately jump out at you.

Songs today are much shorter than 20 years ago.

Songs today are typically just under 3 minutes long.

How did we lose a full minute in only 20 years?

Billboard also recently announced they established a TikTok chart to track the success of songs on TikTok, which is the new radio.

You may not know who Flyana Boss is but if I say, "Hello Christ?" if you were on social media at all the past few months, your mind probably automatically filled in the next bar, "I'm bout to sin again".

"You Wish" by Flyana Boss was literally all over TikToks for you page and later Instagram Reels to the tune of over a billion combined views.

They cleverly had their director film them while they ran towards him in public places as the director ran backwards in front of them with a camera on top of his head.

It is an arresting visual and the views racked up as Flyana Boss started to get requests from local businesses in LA begging them to run through their restaurants and stores for the publicity on TikTok.

Flyana Boss are Black female rappers, eclectic and a total callback to 90s rappers like Missy Elliot.

The kawaii aesthetic, elf ears and relatable clever lyrics about life and sex resonated with people.

They provide an alternative to the Ice Spices shaking their ass in a deli.

They also represent the Sexyy Red "Skee Yee" phenomenon.

Sexyy Red was the first artist to top the newly established TikTok Billboard 100 chart (she debuted at number 1).

Whats the Skee Yee phenomenon?

Its never about the actual song anymore.

You've probably heard "Skee Yee" by now.

Or maybe you saw Sexyy Red in the MetLife VIP area meeting the Jets owner with a stack of 100s held up to her ear.

The truth is, despite literally billions of views on TikTok and Instagram, almost noone has heard the full songs for "You Wish" by Flyana Boss and "Skee Yee" by Sexyy Red.

Because of TikTok, all you need today as a music artist is a catchy 5 to 7 second jingle, verse, hook, chorus or bar and if you can film viral content to it that people either imitate or watch, you can launch yourself into music superstardom.

Flyana Boss has already toured with Janelle Monae.

They were virtual unknowns prior to Summer 2023 with a few hundred views on their respective Soundcloud profiles.

Sexyy Red released her first mixtape, "Ah Thousand Jugs", in 2018.

The Hood Hottest Princess had been grinding away for the past five years on mixtape releases and trying to go viral on Triller.

"Dogg Pound Town" blew Sexyy Red up earlier this year.

Its the song about her toes and ass being ate while she eats Popeye chicken.

She has fire engine red hair and facial tattoos.

If you have a TikTok or Instagram, there is literally no way you havent scrolled past Sexyy Red at this point.

This is the new way to make it in the music industry.

We see Lay Banks, a 19 year old female rapper, utilize this formula to great success with "Ick".

Lay hired the same director that Flyana Boss used for "You Wish".

Instead of running in public places, Lay was filmed rapping "Ick" at a gas station.

"Ick" is about a guy with a foot fetish and bad credit who kills Lay's lady boner and gives her the "Ick".

The hook at the beginning of the viral clip is "Lady boner gone".

Lay is an extremely high energy rapper with hard hitting beats, a sick flow and clever and humorous lyrics complaining about men being in their soft girl era with their credit cards declining.

Its the updated 2023 Missy Elliot "I dont want no one minute man".

Lay is also strikingly beautiful, young and knew that "lady boner gone" waa a viral TikTok catchphrase that would catch on and go viral.

She also cleverly asked female viewers to film themselves rapping the lyrics to "Ick" if any guys had ever given them the "Ick" and then she reshared hundreds of these Youtube Shorts, TikToks and Reels to her personal social media profiles.

Lay has already charted on the TikTok Billboard 100 chart and she has millions of combined views.

This is clearly the new path to musical success as Billboard has recognized by establishing the TikTok Billboard 100 chart.

What have we lost in the process?

To be very clear, I love all three songs and all four rappers (Flyana Boss is a rap duo), especially Lay Banks "Ick".

That doesnt mean that this is a good change for society as a whole.

We, to speak on a macro universal level, dont listen to full songs anymore.

Everything became a sound bite, a viral clip on the for you page before you scroll on to the next video.

TikTok replaced radio.

New music is now discovered on TikTok.

But only in 5 to 7 second snippets curated to blow up on the for you page.

What happens to the Radioheads, Slipknots and Deftones in this brave new world?

What happens to us on a macro level when our attention spans have been so shortened by social media we cant even be assed to sit through a four minute song?

Social media, including messaging apps, is constant and ubiquitous.

It is a pervasive and constant distractiveness and mindlessness.

Its constant scrolling, constant notifications for discord servers & Whatsapp group chats, likes on Instagram & TikTok, trending hashtags on Twitter, new uploads on Youtube.

Constant validation, constant distraction.

Doom scrolling, scrolling for likes, scrolling for vanity, scrolling for boredom, scrolling for depression, scrolling for jealousy and envy, scrolling to endlessly compare.

When TikTok surpassed Google as the number 1 website in the world last year per number of visits, Google removed the pages in their results and made their results pages endless just like TikTok's for you page.

Googles results page was the new limitless rabbit hole of Youtube Suggested Videos -- it never ends.

No more iconic "Gooooooogle" at the bottom of the search results with a different colored "o" above each individual page number.

Nothing ever ends anymore.

Coupled with nearly limitless options to binge watch on streaming services where all episodes are released instantaneously and noone ever has to wait for anything, there are no weekly episodes anymore, no mid-season hiatuses, there are no repeats, season finales that are breathlessly anticipated...

Everything is immediately and constantly at your fingertips.

Its a total closing and shortening of the mind.

It is the evisceration of our collective attention spans.

Multiple screens at all times -- flat screen TV, smartphone, tablet, laptop, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Live, Playstation Network.

Multiple inputs -- music on Spotify, podcasts on Youtube, streams on Twitch, sports games, competition shows and reality TV on regular cable, streaming shows on Netflix/Disney+/Hulu, multiplayer online games on Xbox, Playstation & Nintendo, group messaging chats on discord, Whatsapp, iPhone, Facebook Messenger & Instagram.

Everything is always on, especially you.

Theres always a buzz, theres always a noti, theres always an active discord server, theres always something to check, theres always something happening, theres always something to distract your mind.

Do not disturb is only for when you're asleep.

We were not designed for these constant notifications and interruptions.

They are short circuiting us as a species by design.

Everything became bingeable, nothing ever has to be waited for.

Once the show is released to Disney+ & Netflix, I can binge to my hearts content.

It is a relic of the old days to have to wait a week for new episodes of a favorite show and to have to wait months for a highly anticipated season finale.

Everything is bingeable, including you.

Everything is easily consumed and passed through like the ephemera it is, including you.

There is no permanence, there is no gravitas.

Everything is trending, everything is the now.

Everything is forgotten in 24 hours.

What genocide in Palestine?

There are people trapped on the Gaza Strip?

Emergency medical supplies, food, fuel , water and electricity are being cut off to the Gaza Strip?

Did Travis and Taylor already break up?

Its the shortening of collective memory, the evisceration of our attention spans and the shortening of the mind.

Everyone has already forgotten that Sexyy Red supported Trump on a podcast and posted a sex video of herself on her Instagram stories (right after the Trump story broke so no I dont believe Sexyy was hacked) -- both of these things happened last month.

Does anyone remember Biden brazenly, unapologetically and inhumanely telling reporters on video, Aviators firmly in place, that he guarantees "there will be no ceasefire" between Israel & Palestine despite 13k+ Palestinian civilians being murdered by the Israeli Defense Force over the past two months in one of the worst instances of ethnic cleansing this century?

That literally happened this month and its already been collectively forgotten.

Theres always a new Skims ad for undergarments that give you the perfect nipples.

Taylor Swift was being discussed on NFL broadcasts more than Patrick Mahomes while dating Travis Kelce -- now she has been disappeared from all NFL broadcasts as if she had never been endlessly discussed to begin with.

We are no longer being shown Taylor sitting by Kelces mom and Mahomes' wife and daughter.

But there has been no corresponding commentary at least making a joke about a breakup and a possible Taylor Swift song about same.

The NFL literally had Taylor Swift as their header on Twitter and now she is gone and they are acting like the above never happened.

I get it, the NFL wants female Gen Z to tune into their games but they literally had a slow mo of Taylor walking into Arrowhead Stadium.

Thats not drumming up female viewership, that is patently insane.

They were slow mo'ing Taylor high fiveing Kelces mom when Kelce scored a touchdown.

That is just downright bizarre and is not about increasing the young female demographic that watches NFL games.

It was creepy in how over the top it was.

Taylor was now the big topic of discussion during pre-game analysis of the Chiefs instead of Mahomes, Kelce, MVS, Pacheco, Chris Jones, Andy Reid.

It was an all out blitz for a month that went so far as Kelce being described as "Taylors boyfriend" instead of as a 3-time Super Bowl champion and star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce was always the new Gronk, the current poster child party boy of the NFL.

But the slew of commercials, brand sponsorships and SNL hosting gig didnt come until Taylor.

Predictably, young female NFL viewership went up over 300%, Kelce gained hundreds of thousands of Swiftie social media followers then Kelce stopped attending Eras tour shows, Taylor stopped attending NFL games, the NFL dropped it like it never happened and switched their header to Vikings QB Dobbs.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Movies are going to head in the same direction.

2 hours will no longer be the default film duration.

These conversations are already happening within the film industry as studios are pushing a "crowdsourced film by committee", a Choose Your Own Adventure clusterfuck where multiple endings are filmed for each movie and each individual movie theater audience decides the ending in real time as they watch.

Everything is instantaneous, everything capricious, everything fickle, any demand can be met.

What happens to a directors vision if the audience can just decide everything?

And bet that studio analysts and executives will be closely monitoring what audiences vote for and will change future films to align with those votes.

What happens to A Clockwork Orange?

What happens to the Stanley Kubricks, George Romeros & Quentin Tarantinos?

What happens to taking risks?

Will there never be another cult classic?

Will there never be another Rocky Horror Picture Show?

Would these future audiences have changed the iconic twists in classics like Empire Strikes Back and Sixth Sense?

Will all the sharp edges go away and will we be left with a frictionless existence?

Wheres the space for a nearly six minute operatic genre defying theatrical dramatic essence of drag singular revelation like Bohemian Rhapsody?

Will everything be safe, sanitized and sterilized?

What happens to horror movies that take risks and confront their audiences and skillfully mix gore, humor, satire, societal critique, snark, comedy, slapstick, survivalism, political commentary, dystopia, sci-fi and parody?

Will every rough edge be sanded away?

Do we want an existence like that where our art mediums no longer challenge, repel, confront, repulse, enlighten, elucidate and force us to take a look at ourselves?

Do we no longer want art that takes the piss out of us as an audience?

Do we just want all of the art and media that we consume to be like the Netflix algorithm, endlessly adjusting to our every whim and preference, tirelessly trying to please us in every way, never offending?

Do we never want to be shocked or angered by our art again?

Isnt that what art was supposed to be?

Do we always want to be perfectly happy and satisfied with everything we see?

What will happen to movies that are so bad they're good?

What will happen to guilty pleasures?

Will everything be bland and vanilla, too dull to offend or tittilate, instantly consumed and forgotten with all of the other endless media we are constantly bingeing?

Our existences have been Doordash'd & InstaCart'd.

Everything can be done for us, delivered to us, driven to us, picked up by us, ordered for us, shopped for us, cooked for us, prepared for us, written for us, applied to for us.

Theres an app for almost everything.

The age of inconvenience and frustration is over.

Everything is frictionless -- even our art and entertainment.

What happens to quirky oddities?

Random ideas and concepts?

Harebrained notions and acid dreams?

Paranoid androids and visions?

Night terrors and daydreams?

All of the above have led to crazy innovative mindfucky scripts, films, songs, album concepts, music videos and movie shorts.

Where is the space for body horror films and Takashi Miike?

When do songs become 2 minutes vs the current 3 minute average?

When do songs become 1 minute?

When do songs cease to exist and people just start to record the chorus or the catchy part for TikTok virality since thats all anyones listening to anymore anyway?

When do 2 hour movies become 1 hour?

When do 1 hour movies become 30 minute shorts?

When do movies in general just become instantaneously streamable shorts that are a few minutes long available simultaneously on every platform?

When will the concept of a full length movie that anyone would have the actual patience and attention span to sit through become anachronistic?

When do single player video games go away because noone has the patience to sit through a solo adventure and play through the game for the plot, storyline, twists and turns and all anyone wants to do is get online and just play against each other?

When do we lose our humanity?

The Conductor fills Mettaton's shoes in this world. He may be the sole greatest influencer in the bird entertainment now (thanks to him ousting Grooves during the initial "Time's End" fiasco) but… he's incredibly bored and agitated. There are no obstacles in his path to success, and only now does he realize how much he despises it -- though he'll be damned if he EVER admits to missing DJ Peck Neck for now at least. His kinder side -- although still faintly there -- has become a LOT harder for his crew to see over time, especially Thomas the Inventor, who receives the brunt of Conductor's unchecked cockiness and fury nowadays. Bow Kid's arrival in the Mafia Flows makes Conductor immediately pounce on the opportunity for something CLOSE to a rival in his life again. For the "dungeon" scene in this AU: the Conductor had a mech built from and disguised within the remnants of his first ever train (which derailed and was damaged beyond repair,) and after some reminiscing, he ambushes Bow Kid and SMASHES the old passenger car. The battle starts from here. …Unbeknownst to Conductor, Tom has his own ideas, so the mech has a lot of faults that Bow Kid is able to exploit.

Ye ik it's still not funni musriel his theme real but I was low-key getting a bit tired of putting so many "heavy" tracks one after another on the account. So here's the song that plays when you fight a scottish bird's mecha built from a goddamn steam train. This is yet another one of the ideas in this AU where I had no ideas initially, then wound up shitposting my way into coming up with something needlessly-but-also-majorly awesome. Except this one actually winds up tying a bit into the "arc" I settled on for this part of the story! (A large string of these sorts of ideas also happen to be in the "Hotland" portion of this AU, come to think of it. Sexy robot rectangles and weeaboo lizards overcomplicate things ig lmaooooooo) The track is very much inspired from Digga-Leg's Theme from Super Mario Galaxy 2; the Super Mario RPG flavor was all Kristian's idea, and he did a fantastic job on this piece. had little to no issues with adjusting to the move! him attending the school for teens like him, whose parents moved from jpn to kor for their jobs, aided a lot in the transitional period; he was surrounded by a language he knew and he fit in comfortably, lucky enough that his new friends helped him adjust, too. his parents worked a lot so whenever yuji was not at school or with friends, he was either studying or consuming various tv shows n stuff. overall a bright child -> teen since the day he was born and how does he do it i don't know but he has to teach us all!!!

Kinda felt like outlining my headcanons as it were for some of the sp kids when they're grown up, early to late 20s, cuz why not. Might be good to have as a reference since I'm gonna finish this goddamn fic.

Kyle - I envision him as both the sports star in SPH as well as one of the top students and the pressure of it all taking a toll on his mental health so after high school he tries to mellow out and get in a good headspace before going to an actual physical college/being out and about in the "real world" as an adult. This is still Kyle though so he studies online and freelances in journalism. I don't think he'd pursue a career in sports however because he's been disillusioned by competitive sports and shiz. He still exercises regularly though. I imagined him being a lawyer like his father, doing big grand closing statements to move the jury/judge like he always does. I do like post-covid turning him into a school counselor though.

Kenny - Kenny gets his shit together in high school so he can actually graduate so as to have a qualification to work in small manual labor jobs around town. He takes on multiple jobs of course to both save up and help care for Karen, even though I imagine the Broflovski's sponsoring Karen during high school due to their close relationship with the McCormicks. Kenny still feels like he needs to contribute too. He's become the more silent type and less vulgar as he matures. He becomes more introspected about his sexuality and immortality and who he actually is inside, what his identity is to him, realizing his crude behavior and hypersexuality in his youth was a mask for all that. He wants to take the time (and he has a lot of it) to figure himself out.

Stan - I imagine Stan wanting to be a musician first and foremost and a veterinarian as plan B. He sheds his insecurity to present and perform masculinity and embraces his feelings and art and gender non comformity. I imagine him wtih long hair and piercings but not dresses or skirts, but still a kinda feminine flair to his wardrobe. He starts as a teen indie musician on soundcloud and bandcamp and his music is a lot about environmentalism, gender, sexuality and addiction. He's reasonably successful and fosters a fanbase. He then goes to an art college to study music. He still struggles internally with his bisexuality and so continues to fumble in his love life. He'll attend protests and volunteer at animal shelters when he can.

Cartman - (in my fic Liane dies) so Eric gets shipped off to a strict all boys boarding school. He actually gets his shit together after the grief of losing his mother hits him like a pile of bricks to the face and he matures a little, gets himself through school relatively well. Makes connections in the boarding school with some wealthy families and gets a sweet gig of being a cars salesman. After high school he goes back to pretty much a manchild, still manipulative, etc. Classic Cartman, just older and a little wiser (which is scary.) A big part of his character that I could go into is his relationship with Marjorie (Butters) but lemme not spoil the fic for now. (But if you're picturing it to be some weird abusive hostage situation or whatevs, its not.)

Wendy - I imagine Wendy becoming a full-time activist involved with many organizations involving women's rights and environmentalism. She earns an income through providing courses for women's self defense and being an informed, educational speaker at conferences. She runs into Stan every so often at protests and they are friendly and unlike Stan she has a fun bachelorette lifestyle. Maybe they have a casual hookup here and there but its mostly for fun. The two will have long deep conversations about gender non conformity and bisexuality and Wendy's success motivates Stan to get his shit together from time to time.

Craig and Tweek: eloped (as is in my fic) very young which upset their families on both sides. Craig is the one to actually take over a manager position at the Tweak coffee shop after Tweek quits so as to take a break as he recovers from his caffeine addiction and gets mental health treatment for his anxiety, paranoia etc. (This is something he and Kyle bond over.) In fact Tweek picks up a hobby in music (piano) and maybe performs at the coffee shop from time to time to earn a little pocket money. I don't imagine Tweek and Craig to have the perfect healthy adult relationship off the bat, rushing in to things right after highschool like eloping and even discussing having kids, etc. Even Craig who is all logical and level headed gets swept up in the high of marriage and all that. Eventually they mellow out, though, and open up to their families for help and guidance, etc. And of course they stay together foreva as it is canonicallyyyy.

Tolkien- still a little vague headcanon, but essentially a big mess inside under a mask of constantly being perfect (perfect athlete, perfect college student ((practicing in law, lowkey competing with Kyle))) Essentially lives under his father's shadow as hes expected to inherit the family fortune and carry on the Black family legacy, etc, and its just a lot. And he has a lot of friends in college but theyre not friend friends, yknow? His only solace is his off and on again situationship with Wendy who likes him just for who he is, and surprisingly Stan. Their colleges sport teams compete regularly so they run into each other often. Tolkien is a fan of Stan's music cuz he relates his lyrics on many many levels (feeling out of place, battling with his own complicated feelings about his sexuality - he's gay but cant quite reconcile with that.) Oh~ Formaggio x Ghiaccio is a ship I don't really think about too much but let's see! I kinda wrote this more as a general what is formaghia relationship is like, so I hope you don’t mind. 

 (Imagine the cat is Ghiaccio and those are Formaggio's hands).

How they met:

Formaggio's backstory actually shows this but it got deleted (T-T). Long story short: Formaggio pulled an Among Us; he vented in order to avoid getting caught by the police and ended up falling into La Squadra’s meeting room when it gave way. Obviously La Squadra wanted to kill him but it was Ghiaccio that told everyone to stand down and let him join the team instead. His reasoning is that he was able to tell that Formaggio has no Stand yet impressively got himself through La Squadra’s headquarters undetected and he would be a good asset rather than an enemy for the team. After hearing Formaggio’s story regarding why he was there in the first place, it was Ghiaccio that vouched for Formaggio to join the team instead under the guise of it being a “punishment” for being caught snooping around. 

How they became close:

Formaggio ended up being rather good at handing the administrative and financial aspects of the team. As we saw in canon, Formaggio has people working for him and a proper office to do such work compared to the other members of the team. I headcanon that Sorbet and Gelato tend to be the ones in the group that handle this sort of work, which could explain why Sorbet is particular with money, and Formaggio also not only helped them out but most likely took over their work after their deaths. Since Ghiaccio is second-in-command, he probably interacts with Formaggio the most because he needs to relay back to Risotto the situation regarding La Squadra’s financial and business situation. It also helps that Ghiaccio is the one that talks most about money in canon, so he would naturally go to the person who is handling expenses in order to know what’s up and how to help Risotto organize everything. 

Ghiaccio often visited Formaggio in his office. Eventually, they end up spending more time together both there and outside of work too. 

As friends:

Think of himbo jock who adopted awkward nerd as a little brother. I remember there was this Tumblr post someone said about their friendship with a himbo jock that began when the guy first approached her and was like “you’re bi right? you know women in skirts? pretty hot.” That’s basically Formaggio and Ghiaccio right there. Formaggio doesn’t infanticize Ghiaccio but he does sometimes act like he’s a big brother to him out of humor and would do things like wing-man him, coo at him when he does something rather cute, etc. Ghiaccio got use to the occasional head noggings and Formaggio doesn’t mind having to explain figures of speech or jokes when the other man doesn’t get it. They also ended up learning a lot from each other; Formaggio learns how to keep himself more groomed (curly hair wash method, not using bar soap but a proper cleanser) and Ghiaccio learns it’s okay to be a slob if you’re comfortable with it (not always shaving his face, farting loudly for giggles). They have burping contests now, and it annoys La Squadra so much...

May I also point to this headcanon I made regarding Formaggio and Ghiaccio being SoundCloud rappers too?

Surprisingly, they are each other's best hypemen. They’re the ones that would high five and chest bump each other after a successful kill, no matter how awkward it is and they’re the ones that give thumbs up at the bars when one managed to nail a hot hookup for the night. When Formaggio is feeling down for thinking that his Stand maybe isn't on par with the rest of the team, Ghiaccio's in his corner reminding him why he's important. Despite Ghiaccio often portraying himself as arrogant with his Stand abilities, Formaggio knows he's less confident with his leadership skills and is in his corner to remind the younger man that he is a good second-in-command.

As lovers:

Due to them spending time with each other, it’s no wonder that they started getting feelings for each other too. Both are unfortunately in denial; Formaggio because he’s never dated a guy and Ghiaccio because he has a hard time expressing the fact that he has a crush on his co-worker. Formaggio began to notice that Ghiaccio didn’t visit his office as often, due to Ghiaccio not knowing how to tell him that he likes him without compromising their work relationship, and eventually Formaggio cornered him after a work meeting. It’s anti-cimatic, but the whole thing went as:

“Bro, why are you avoiding me?”

“It’s because I like you dummy!”

“Well, duh. We’re friends! Of course we like each other!”

“... Friends?”

“Yeah... unless... wait...”

“...”

“...”

“I recently stocked up on condoms. Wanna try it out tonight?”

“Formaggio!”

They’re surprisingly not as affectionate in public to each other as you would think. Formaggio is rather respectful of Ghiaccio not wanting to show off that much due to Ghiaccio’s status and his overall comfort zone wanting to take things slow. But there are those rare moments where Ghiaccio feels a bit burned out and randomly hug Formaggio out of the blue or Formaggio would do the same back and Ghiaccio doesn’t try to push him off. In private, there’s a lot of cuddling. Ghiaccio is a bit more openly affectionate as the relationship progresses, but it’s still rather tame. Formaggio is relentless with physical touch though. He likes holding Ghiaccio’s hand while they work, sleeping with his head on his lap, big spooning him, squishing his cheeks. He sometimes calls Ghiaccio out of nowhere just to say that he misses him but makes sure to call when he’s sure Ghiaccio isn’t in the middle of a mission or something important.

They like impromptu dates. Ghiaccio is usually the one who suggests the date idea but Formaggio has occasionally planned surprises for more elaborate dates like fancy dinners or soccer games. La Squadra has an idea that they’re dating but neither of them confirm or deny it. Ghiaccio likes it that way, since he doesn’t really like to show off and gets flustered if he experiences affection. Formaggio does like to tease him when he gets flustered but respects his boundary. 

Of course, what I said about what they are as friends still counts as lovers too.   

What they like to do together:

Car rides! Ghiaccio loves taking his car out for a spin and Formaggio can’t help but join at any opportunity. Not only is there an andrenaline rush whe racing other cars, attending illegal car shows, or trying to get away from the cops via chase but the two of them would also use Ghiaccio’s car to get laid for the night (in their words, who can’t say no to a guy with a nice car). In addition to that, Formaggio is always down for a late night snack whenever Ghiaccio is feeling rather hungry. So, these two would go zooming into the night to some sort of fast food chain or restaurant, grab some to-go, then drive to a nearby cliff and watch the stars while they munch down on food. 

Formaggio and Ghiaccio also love watching soccer games together. Formaggio is a bigger fan of soccer but whenever he has a spare ticket, his first choice is always Ghiaccio. They found out they like the same teams, same players, and they both get hyphy at every match. They’re also the ones that need to get bailed out after a post-game riot. But hey, there’s a saying that good friends bail you out of jail while best friends are in jail with you. 

Ghiaccio tried to get Formaggio to go to the gym together but Formaggio eventually just became too lazy to go as frequently as him. When he does go, he’s mostly doing weights and then sitting around until Ghiaccio is finished with his routine. They do like to get lunch and then nap together afterwards. 

What do they like most about each other:

Formaggio admires Ghiaccio’s work ethic and comraderie. He was shocked to know this kid is really young yet is able to handle the responsibilities of being the second-in-command of a hitman team. Despite the teasing that is commonly done in the group, Ghiaccio is also the one that calls bullshit if it’s about to get too far. He values each team member and sees the imporance of each person in the team. Prosciutto’s the one that does the pep talk but Ghiaccio’s the one that points to Prosciutto who needs it the most. There’s a reason why Risotto chose him as second-in-command despite his age and lack of experience prior to joining La Squadra. 

Ghiaccio admires Formaggio for his soft skills and his ability to bring the team together. Formaggio is known for his “work hard, play hard” approach to things and that not only helped make things less intense but he’s able to manipulate social cues to ensure that the team isn’t thinking with their emotions when it comes to making very high-stake decisions. Formaggio has a way to bring everyone back to neutral ground, which also helps Ghiaccio when he needs to calm down and is unable to do so himself.

i don't know what to put here today, i did work on a song, i got the riff(s) down and the drums so it needs a bassline, there's a part that can use some synth accompaniment, that's cool, i cannibalized some parts/ideas from the synth demo thing i posted the other day, and i also used that guitar sound in an older song cuz it seemed like it'd fit.

now i'm thinking if i ought to go re-record some vox for that old song, who knows, i should decide that tomorrow because it's late now, and i make dumb decisions about stuff when i get in my head and it's late.

i guess now, i'm just thinking about the band the hellp. i quite like them, i think they're super exciting and also maybe one of the more complicated things to hit the scene in a while, not cuz of the sea change people into them/this current thing (which you can call indie sleaze but the band denies it and they're mostly ahead of everyone doing that right now (sidenote, it's very interesting to me how there's people from soundcloud making this jump, in particular 2hollis, this guy i dislike completely musically and i think he might suck socially/politically (miladymaker associations but does that mean anything if you live in nyc really?))). but the aside brings us to one of the complexities w/ the hellp which is their association with that whole new york thing that's basically skewed super reactionary. it's not a complexity because it's like, something you have to weigh in value, but it's complex because of the reasons someone might decide that they're at least doing something right, it's all newyorker selfsuck obv but it seems hugely appealing for artists/anyone who believes that there's a lack of sorting out of noise from signal rn, they're super obsessed with bareness and expressing reality really and so on (thinking back on the thoughts i was having about the obsessions these people have w/ stock images aesthetically). they often have really bizarre misreadings of leftist writers, bataille, byung chul han, even like, marx, baudrillard (noah dillon, singer of the band, is also a photographer, he seems very influenced by baudrillard when he talks about his photography and never names him, but the shadow of poststructuralist theory looms large over his work and how he conceives of himself, it seems). if i could imagine any reason for people to want to tether themselves to that scene, i'd say it's maybe one of the things most able to confer, by association, some kind of meaning, place, and status. coming at a time where everyone feels pretty dislocated and disabled when it comes to making art and it being received at all, really, that seems basically valuable, it's so niche and arcane that if you do blow up, who is going to know or care, or catch the weird things you say in interviews, and if you stay niche and arcane, you've got a base somewhere at least who will rep your merch and buy your music on bandcamp so that way you can feel like you're kind of a success, or something. it's only i guess complex if this stuff catches you in any way, the music, the ugliness of that scene, and two guys who, from what i know, are basically nice and normal if weird, one made a slightly exploitative feeling documentary about native reservations and addiction, it's very short and i feel like its heart is in the right place, maybe, or maybe it's just looking to shock you with poverty porn, i can't tell entirely, it feels like it wants to expose you to truth and how it feels to be there, and not say anything about it, and not say anything about the things that are in any of those people's lives, faith and the army are paid to w/ special attention, and i guess it's evident how destructive they are but in presentation of the band, he talks about how america has no faith anymore, and no patriotism, and it's almost with a kind of apathy he says this, he cares obviously, but there's also a remove. i can only read it as a callout to everyone else who is just like that. it's not like i need people making music to be perfect, so it's not like i'm upset these guys are weird, it's just fascinating to me, i don't think they're fascist, i think they might just be trying to fit in with something and looking for something to jump off of to give the music some kind of cache/meaning so it can work, work meaning, i dunno, lyrical content to use, a place to criticize from, a character and visual history to engage with. they want to be about america, in a super total way i think, they also really want to be about girls or femininity in some way. the video for tu tu neurotic really brings that home i think.

something something, vapidity, sincere embrace of some kind of trashiness (so you can tell why i love them) the lyric "we're addicted to the pain so it just won't leave"

tu tu neurotic also has very strange lyrics in reference to native people too, that feel basically connected to the stereotypes he probed in his short. he also says "faggot hides outside the closet" and i don't mind because it's kind of a genius lyric, i'll bat for that one. their lyrics are kind of a cluster of nothings that run through a head.

i'm gonna see them live here, next week, w/ yves tumor, which is like crazy exciting i guess. i still haven't listened to yves' new record, but i love the last one.

also i bring up nyc a lot here, but the hellp are an la band, which makes their efforts to fit in funnier/sadder, like they're displaced no matter what, no matter where they are.

thinking about them made me write a tiny bit, that's funny, they started the story i've been working on sort of, or they helped locate the sort of place the narrator's stuck in.

now i'm listening to crystal castles. i'm #stupid.

i want glasses that take up half my face. just so i can really achieve the look, and the internet's gone out, that's so annoying, i hope i don't lose any progress on this or anything.

cox are so stupid/annoying with it, they throttle stuff for no reason it seems like, inexplicable and stupid.

i wonder if tomorrow i'm gonna get to record vox or anything or not. i'm up until 4 now, so annoying i am so stupid. i also feel ugly suddenly. exciting stuff, i spent maybe 40 minutes plucking hair from my face just now i think i dunno maybe less but it felt like a while. it's important to do that so i don't feel maximum ugly, and instead i just feel regular ugly until i get manic and then i think i'm kind of pretty and the cycle repeats until i have a bad day and feel maximum ugly anyways and think about killing myself 100 times in a row.

anyways i feel like maybe it's good that i put pictures in these because it sort of helps me feel like i'm actually scrapbooking parts of my life for real or something and this is the 30th one and there's a selfie i didn't post from when i went to the movies and whatever. i dunno. it's vain i guess. i'm vain because when i was 9 years old i saw that girl who stood on a table looking crazy/creepy and everyone called her creepychan and i thought i should be just like that. now i'm just oversharing in a really sad way. whateverrrr.

it's so easy for me to get into a mood. i'm not even in a bad mood really. if someone were talking to me i guess i would be but since i'm alone i'm just kind of sad. almost said something insane that doesn't need to be said. i don't feel tired at all though.

today was mostly very normal. not a lot happened, i felt good even at points, i think this sudden bout of whatever is just because i'm crazy and i wish lighting was good all the time, and i don't think it's like, cope, to think maybe lighting is bad and it treats my face bad and that i'm not actually misshapen, but i can't help but think/feel that anyways,

Twenty One Pilots reminisces about early days in Ohio on latest tour

Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph of Columbus indie-pop act Twenty One Pilots.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – It's a sunny day in late August and Josh Dun, drummer for indie-pop band Twenty One Pilots, is walking around Columbus wondering what time it is.

"We just got home from doing some of our own shows in Australia and then traveled to Japan for a festival," says Dun. "I'm still all completely messed up time zone wise, but it was really fun."

When Dun joined TWP founding member Tyler Joseph in 2011, the thought of global domination was a mere dream. Dun had just replaced original drummer Chris Salih and Twenty One Pilots was self-releasing music via websites like SoundCloud.

Then the record deal came. The duo signed with Fueled by Ramen, the home of pop-punk heavyweights like Paramore and Panic! at the Disco. The deal paved the way for "Vessel," Dun and Joseph's 2013 breakthrough album that spawned two top-10 singles on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

The album's success also gave Twenty One Pilots a bigger platform to showcase its unique blend of rock and pop. The band performed at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards in March and at the inaugural AP Music Awards in Cleveland this past July.

Twenty One Pilots stole the show at the APMAs when Joseph climbed to the top of the scaffolding, shocking everyone, including Dun, who relived the experience with us during a recent phone interview:

Take me back to the AP Music Awards.

That was a really fun night. It's cool that it was the first year for that show and it was cool to be an Ohio band and kind of represent our home state. Our families were there. It was nice for us to rub shoulders with bands that we don't know of or know, but might not play with.

Were you surprised by the nominations or the invite to perform?

I don't know if we really fit with what else was going on. In a way, I kind of like that and I feel honored that they would have us there even if we don't fit the mold of that scene.

There was a lot going on during your performance. Do you plan something like Tyler climbing the stage?

Some of the stuff we do is really dependent on the venue and what it looks like. I don't always know what Tyler's going to do. Sometimes we're in the middle of a song, I look around and he's already halfway up the scaffolding.

Do you worry?

One time, we were in Korea and for that particular festival, we had him strap a GoPro on his chest and watched him climb all the way up the truss. Watching that footage makes my hands sweaty. That guy scares me sometimes, but I trust he's going to be safe.

The first two shows of your fall tour, in Columbus, sold out in a matter of days.

It's crazy. When we started we never knew how many people were going to show up. There were times when no one came or maybe just three or four people. Now it's kind of cool and exciting for Tyler and I to look at each other and realize there are actually going to be people there.

Does it feel different when you perform in Ohio?

It's interesting because I'm not in Ohio very often, but I love coming here and thinking about the times where we would only play Ohio at the Grog Shop multiple times and would love it. Anytime we come back to Ohio, in Cleveland or Columbus, it's a special time.

What can people expect on this tour?

We're changing a couple of things. I think until we're done playing music, which will be when we die; our goal is going to be to keep outdoing ourselves. It gets to be challenging to put together a different set list each time. We try to get creative with how to approach a song. We try to be more strategic and intentional with how things look aesthetically on stage with the setup and the lighting. We're constantly brain storming. For us, performing and playing is our favorite thing to do.

"Vessel" has been out for about a year and a half. Is there a timeline for new music?

We're always working on stuff. There's a bunch of songs written. The next step at the end of this year or the beginning of next year is to partner with a producer that meets us where we're at from a stylistic standpoint. I personally want to up my game drumming wise on this next record. We can't wait to get back to the studio and bring these ideas to life.

alright, so I'm not the first person to make a t7mblr sexyman RTC AU but I really like this idea that I came up with (also thanks to @mountain-dew-tickledpink for helping me fill some of the roles

So Bill Cipher is gonna be Karnak, that feels pretty obvious, but I thought it would be funny if Cecil Gershwin Palmer was Virgil, and he's just like, holding Bill at memory-erasing gunpoint (like the one that was used to defeat him in the finale).

Obviously, the onceler is Ocean, he's the first thing anyone thinks of when they hear the phrase "tumblr sexyman" and he's got a huge thneed empire, of course he'd be the most successful boy in town, but he is also very entitled, much like Ocean, while still having room for redemption, so obviously he's the perfect fit

Next up, Alastor from Hazbin Hotel as Noel. This might seem like a bit of an odd choice, especially since he's supposed to be the most romantic boy in town but he's canonically AroAce, but being "romantic" doesn't necessarily mean romantic relationships, it could be about romanticizing ideas. So in this AU, Alastor is not a serial killer, but he's so bored with his life that he dreams of being one from the thirties, kinda like Monique Gibeau but minus the hooker part and his fantasy self would probably still keep the same name as he has, Alastor definitely has the dramatic flare and love of tragedy needed to make him fit as Noel

Dabi will be Mischa because well, his dad is Enji Todoroki, OFC he'd be the angriest boy in town. I haven't decided if he's still in the League of villains in this AU or if Mischa's rap career has fully replaced that, or maybe the League all decided to make a shared SoundCloud account lmao, also yes, Hawks will be the stand-in for Talia in this AU

I was really stumped on who Ricky would be but I decided on Wally Darling because he's always painting and I think he leads a cult or whatever (I don't know Jack shit about the Welcome Home ARG so correct me if I'm wrong) which I guess, could be like, his equivalent of Zolar? I even found a reason for him to be on crutches, because he's a puppet and has no bones (Don't ask how he would still be able to die in the roller coaster accident, maybe he got impaled by a piece of the track or something?)

I've decided to make Jack Frost from Rise Of The Gaurdians be the John Doebfor this AU, since he doesn't have very over-exaggerated proportions, it would be hard to identify him without his head, plus he apparently already canonically died and lost all of his memories, so there's another parallel to Jane, not to mention he's kinda the youngest person here. As for what he would replace his head with, I was originally going to make it a rabbit or white tiger plushie that he won at the fair, and I'm still gonna roll with that, but now I wanna change it from a tiger to a snow leopard, because themeing. Also, the Little Sister who he apparently died protecting from the cold in canon, would make a great parallel to Ezra

Lastly, Luigi Mario as Constance Blackwood because he just fits, I don't think I really need to explain much more than that

-Song: Bus Ride

-Artist: Kaytranada

-Background: Born in Louis Celestin in 1992, the capital of Haiti, and  moved to Toronto, Canada the following year. Kaytranada spoke to Fader magazine about his struggles with depression, anxiety and problems dealing with his sexuality, speaking openly about the anxiety caused when telling his family; “We’re Haitians, and Haitians don’t appreciate gay people at all... I thought maybe it was a phase.”, whilst also telling the Guardian, “I had a lot of fatigue, and a real identity crisis and a bunch of stuff that I was going through, like my sexuality.”

-How long have they been making music: Released his debut album “99.9%” in 2016, featuring artists such as Vic Mensa,  Anderson Paak, Syd tha Kyd and Craig David. Kaytranada became a Soundcloud sensation after releasing a bootleg remix of Janet Jackson’s “If” in 2012, following the successful hit up with some other remixes before branching out and discovering his own style.

-Style/Genre - RnB/ Hip-Hop/ Electronica

-How does the song “Bus Ride” fit in with larger body of work?: Bus Ride is the second song on the artists debut album. Following on from the up tempo Track Uno, which is a punchy opening track, Bus Ride feels a little more relaxed. The track dropped before the album was released, teasing what was to come on 99.9% and features Kaytranadas first collaboration with jazz drummer/ producer Karriem Riggins as well as Toronto based producer River Tiber. The song features the usual blend of jazzy and synth beats that can be expected from the Haitian-Canadian. There are no vocals on the track, Riggins drumming becoming the focal point of the track and builds towards one of the first tracks featuring vocals. Kaytranada posted about Bus Ride on twitter; “Bus Ride: tried to make a Jazz sounding song to listen to while i take the bus/subway to go to Montreal downtown”. 

-How was 99.9% released?: Released worldwide as an album, vinyl record and on multiple streaming platforms, 99.9% was also promoted using a video game of the same title, something Kaytranada has said was the label companies idea as he “..sucks at video games”.

-Music from period of release: 2016 was an eclectic year of music. Kaytranada’s style and album 99.9% would fit somewhere within the RnB and Hip Hop section at your local HMV, releasing the same year as other impressive albums such as Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book, pantomime villain Kanye West’s Life of Pablo, Frank Ocean’s Blond and Beyonce’s Lemonade. It was a big year for RnB/ Hip-hop, with Skepta’s album Konnichiwa (more Grime than Hip-hop) winning the coveted Mercury Prize, marking a change from the usual winning genres.

Omg yes! Okay so these are a few songs off of my playlist that remind me of Tommy/ loving Tommy!

1) Blue Jeans by Lana Del Rey -“I was like no please, stay here, we don’t need no money we can make it all work” this line oozes Tommy/Lizzie energy to me! “i stayed up waitin’ anticipatin’ and pacing’ but he was chasing paper caught up in the game it was the last I heard” Tommy cares so much about his family but he is very preoccupied with work we see this many times in the show, he’s always chasing success. He thinks this is for the betterment of others around him, in reality it just pushes people away. This line too, “cuz i’m a ride or die whether you fail or fly, well shit at least you tried” and then ofc, “i will love you till the end of time, I would wait a million years”.

2) Paint It, Black by The Rolling Stones- "I see people turn their heads and quickly look away, like a newborn baby, it just happens everyday" Tommy is so enamoring, I think especially in the early seasons, the people he helps love him but still they fear him. Everyone wants to catch a glimpse of him and then they hope they never cross paths with him again. He has no way out, he feels trapped but with nothing to bring him comfort he wishes to fade away, because there is no light in his life.

3) Tv in Black and White (unreleased) by Lana Del Rey - This one is a but harder for me to describe why exactly I think of Tommy when I hear this song. It's on YouTube and Soundcloud if you want to take a listen! This is more what I would think it would be like to fall in love with Tommy, rather than a song that I feel describes him. "Living without you is like TV in black and white, you turned me on and brought color into my life, when I'm around you, suddenly I realize that I was blind before I saw the world in your eyes". I think loving Tommy opens up a whole world you never knew existed, because he is such an interesting man with a lot of power. "I know you get scared sometimes, boy. Nothing to be feared when you're in my heart. Troubles come in threes, but in your case they come in millions and trillions, but that's all right". Theres always danger around him, he has many enemies, but he would do anything to protect the one he loves.

When I heard Mashidam went on hiatus all those months ago, I was devastated. I cried writing a tumblr post about what I was feeling at that moment. Seeing the news now about Mashidam leaving Treasure made me feel empty. it's wierd. Maybe it's because I was at my job and I coudn't really express how I felt and now that we're already 10 hours later and I've had to chance to think about it, rationalise it, and finally come to terms with it.

This is a much better reaction than I thought I would have btw. Like yeah, it hurts, but maybe, somehow, I already expected this news. Eventhough earlier this day, I was still thinking about the possibility of Mashiho and Yedam going on stage at the last day of Treasure's Japan tour and singing a duet together to announce their comeback haha... It feels silly now, but that's how I was coping I guess. I really believed they would come back, but knowing they won't maybe gave me some peace of mind. The uncertanty is gone, the waiting is over and now the healing process can begin.

We'll never know why exactly they left. We can only trust YGE's words that Mashiho decided to leave because of health issues and Yedam left because he wants to produce music instead of perform it. We'll never know what happened, so I'm choosing to believe Yedam and Mashiho shared their doubts with the company during Jikjin era and were put on haitus before they made their decision final. Mashi and Yedam had about 6 months to change their minds and they didn't.

The timing of the announcement is suspect ofcourse but I honestly think YGE made the best decision they could have to let fans get used to the idea of Treasure being a 10 member group. It worked for me. When their hiatus was announced I was so devastated + scared that Treasure wouldn't work as 10. Losing their main vocalist + main dancer/lead vocalist... I didn't think they could do it tbh... But now I've seen them perform their songs as 10 and they do it so well. They've had a successful comeback as OT10, they are still a unified group. And now I realise that's why i'll keep supporting them: They are still a group of people I fell in love with. I want to see them succeed and make more/new memories with them. I'll never forget them as 12 but I want to move forward with Treasure as they are now because I just don't have another choice. Not supporting them just isn't an option for me.

I'll miss Mashiho. I think he was born to be on stage. During Teuday and during Trace, I was in awe. He's so talented and passionate. He has all my respect and it breaks my heart that he has to say goodbye to his dream because of things that are out of his control. But his health should always be the number 1 priority and so I can only wish him the best and hope he's happy in Japan with his family.

I'll miss Yedam. I'll miss his silly personality. The fact that he was still a little kid underneath all those responsibilities. I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that I might never hear Yedam sing again. His voice is truly something meant to be heard. Knowing he'll never be a part of Treasure again hurts, but the possibility of never hearing his voice again hurts even more. I can only hope that Yedam returns to singing someday. Even if it's little snippets on soundcloud, or covers posted anonymously or an album 10, 20 years from now, I'll gladly take it. We'll never know the reason behind Yedams decision but I have always worried about the pressure that has been put on him since he was 11 years old. Hearing him perform his unreleased song during Trace only ampilfied my worry. I could never quite listen to it again, because it sounded to personal

Yes, he trained the longest, has spent almost 10 years in the industry, but maybe being an Idol is what everyone expected of him, not what he actually wanted for himself. Or maybe being an Idol isn't what he thought it would be. I keep thinking about that one Tmap episode where a Teume told Jaehyuk 'If you decide that being an Idol is not what you want to do with your life, I'll still support you' and I can't help but feel the same way about Yedam. It's his decision and eventhough I'm sad, I'm happy for him. If this is what he wants then I'm happy for him.

Treasure will be alright. Teumes will be alright. Yedam and Mashiho will be alright. We all just need a little time right now to adjust to the new status quo.

I'm looking forward to the Seoul concert and the Japan tour, but most of all I'm looking forward to making new memories with Treasure

I can’t stop thinking abt adult Satomi hhhhh,,, so ig here’s some more info abt her,,

So once Satomi arrives to NY and gets settled in she became interested in pursuing nail art as a profession just because she was already pretty good at it and mostly did it as a hobby as a teen. She managed to get hired at a nail salon around the time she got settled into her new house n stuff and, of course, some people recognize her as a model but if someone were to ask her if she’s still a model, she’d say no and that this was her new thing. And she’s gotten along well with some of her coworkers and some even know about her solo idol side,,

How did she become one you ask? It was actually during one of her therapy sessions when she mentioned how she felt a little empty, sure, she may have finally gotten away from the crazy fans and paparazzi, she may have the privacy she wanted, but she felt like it wasn’t enough for her.  That’s when her therapist suggested to maybe also try and pursue something else while she’s working at a nail salon,, one of the career suggestions was to try and become some sort of solo artist.. It caught her interest surprisingly and made her look into things even more.

Expressing yourself through music, huh… it wasn’t a bad idea! She just had to try it out. And she did! She took the time to attend some vocal lessons, eventually figuring out how to make her own songs and record herself singing, etc, and about 5 months later, made her first song and posted it online. (Taking inspo from this as to what her music sound like haha) Mostly on sites like SoundCloud and YouTube and other music streaming sites. She also posted about it on her blog.

Satomi didn’t expect it to get as popular as she thought it would. Hell, some of her coworkers were talking about it. One of them suggested to her during break to see if she could try and perform at nightclubs and of course, she looked into it and moments later, she got invited to perform at a idol nightclub,, and after that performance, being decked out in her pink-ish punk fashion,, her performance at that nightclub gained popularity and soon,, a fan base. Way different from the one she had as a now, ex. model. They weren’t crazy. They were more respectful of Satomi and her music and,, it let her to start calling herself a solo idol,, she was pretty well recognized in the idol world for her unique style,,

Now she had a great idea,, during the day she’d work as a nail artist at a nail salon and at night she’d find her way to preform at nightclubs,, kinda like a double life! Of course, while still had the time, she knew when to take breaks.

She’d continue to release new songs and  when she turned 23 she decided to take it a step further and perform at live venues! Which worked in her favor cause they were fairly popular and she’s been having this “double life” of hers since. (Yk,, since she’s 24 now) even as an up-in-coming idol!  it led to her first mini tour and meet and greet and she’s been successful since

Wow! That anon was SPEAKING THE TRUTH! Especially about the anthology album… I’m so disappointed and not exited at all (I’m curious how will they do on charts etc). We basically get three new songs and that’s it. They should have gave us normal album with new songs/concepts/dances and new era. I think it would be a really touching gesture if they release demo version of their songs FOR FREE on SoundCloud on their anniversary as a gift for ARMY. Idk why people should pay for it?? They are demos for a reason - because yet not good enough to be on an album, it was just an idea for a song, a draft. And I want to say something about yoongi. I really don’t think he is pretending if you listen to his songs he very much says that he wants awards and recognitions and fame also he was the one who talked about bbmas and #1 on charts and Grammys so I think it’s just his nature (but maybe I’m projecting because I’m a pisces too and sometimes we don’t say everything we want but we show it in another way) and about jk I just want to say that the perfectionism is part of his character so idk what he can do about it and I do think it can help him in the long run. Although I wish he would do some vocal training (I remember when he said he stopped doing it because he felt like he was losing his characteristic voice. It was when they’re were interviewing each other about BE album. He has long blond hair) and start working on his songs or mixtapes. I know he probably won’t release anything as long as he is in bts but - besides rap line - he has the most potential to stay in the music industry after bts and be successful. He is already really good and talented but I know he can be great if only he starts working on himself and his skills a little bit (I was so happy he took dance lesson during their break and I hope he will listen to different kind of music/artist to expand his horizons because rn he mostly listen to ‘radio songs’). The monologue in Barbie makes me think about gender-roles, and just so you know ladies, that "un-real" standard doesn't just apply to you... I was recently watching an interview with Brendan Frasier, one of my favorite actors, and he said something along the lines of "we act as if it's a challenge for young men to have both physical, and mental competence, but in reality, it's an expectation." I don't know how anyone can achieve everything ethically. It's like our story of how the world works is broken.

Maybe I'm just like Icarus, and keep reaching for more when in reality I have everything I already need.

and that doesn't even break the iceberg in regards to financial success. Oh, and women want men who are traditional, yet progressive - let's not forget that. A man who can cook is.. counter-cultural? Progressive? Sexy? Oh, and a warrior, who is peaceful. That makes sense! They want a man who cares about his appearance, yet isn't narcissistic. Ah, and the spiritual-leader as well. But don't they know that God is a woman? The nerve...

Women want a man who is a risk-taker, but also conservative.
