okay i can explain

after i drew skimbleshanks i felt the itch to draw a couple more so i drew the best feline criminal mastermind as well as the two thieves.

since Mcavity has commited every human crime and gotten away with it, does that include war profiteering?

I have the personal headcannon that Mcavity is the head officer (constable?)s cat and its just a running joke to pin unsolved crimes in him.

But one of the other cats heard about it out of context and Macavity, who is still a menace, just not a criminal, leaned into it.

Sequels and spin-offs of musicals are almost never good, but I'd be interested in one that's set in the same world as Cats, but it's about humans. Specifically the one single guy at Scotland Yard who's 100% sure that there's a fucking cat committing crimes out there, and keeps coming off more and more unhinged and notoriously nuts about it. He can't prove anything, obviously, but he's sure that it's that same fucking cat again. And of course there is no proof.

For when they reach the scene of crime, Macavity's not there.
