#marquilla#me at 4am: lmao idk why they bothered salting the parking lot the storm is passing us anyway#me at 8am nearly falling on my ass in the snow in the parking lot: nvm#hot take but i think that having the traction control system on when the roads are slick isnt a good thing bc it makes me nearly spin out#every time. and i tested it too. i tried driving halfway with it on and halfway off and i could turn corners and more importantly STOP safer#than when i didnt turn tcs off.#i know it works by slowing and stabilizing the tire losing traction but like it feels like that works against you if youre turning bc then#your car is swinging essentially like lets say it's only on the right wheels. tcs comes on and you stop now youre car is turning clockwise#from the momentum of the non traction affected tires#and if it's all the wheels then you skid forward#im sure it has helped people and im sure it probably saved lives but motherfucker i nearly took out four mailboxes on a main road#bc i turned AFTER A COMPLETE STOP MIND YOU so it wasnt my momentum of the car being in motion and taking too fast a turn#idk i just find that when i see that little fucker come on that i have about a 40% chance of it killing me#anyway it snowed and we got like 4in lol

It snowed like eight inches here, the plow teams weren’t doing enough to keep up with the rate of falling snow, so the roads were ASS today, and guess what?
Work was open ALL DAY.
OUR DEPOSIT WAS FUCKING $100 BECAUSE ONLY LIKE TEN PEOPLE SHOWED UP FROM 8AM TO 8PM. WE’RE ALREADY CUTTING HOURS AND WE LOST SO MUCH MONEY BY BEING FORCED TO STAY OPEN.
It took me three tries to get out of my work’s parking lot because the entry and exit are sloped. I had to keep backing up and hitting the gas basically to launch my ass up the hill. It wasn’t safe for anyone to be out in. We had a towtruck team even say they had to help pull a guy out of a ditch right up the road, and I watched a pickup do a 360 and nearly skid into the guardrail. Didn’t hit it, but it backed up traffic a bit because the guy got stuck and had to shovel sand under his tires to get righted again.
Even the mall closed early and the mall never closes early unless it’s really, really, bad.
