Today is World Mental Health Day. Whoever decided this should be the same month as loss awareness month is evil. I still struggle some days with PTSD but other days life is just amazing. Sometimes I have to just put things in perspective and realise we are all happy and healthy and safe, they are the most important things. Take time for yourself if you are struggling. Yoga has been a huge help for me- some days it clears my mind, others I can cry through a whole class. This is the most common excuse of all. We have time for all the fun activities but not for meditation. Let's be honest and ask ourselves, do we really not have time to meditate? Today I ridiculously kicked a car that almost ran into me while I was in the crosswalk with a walk sign, I got in a severe coughing fit in a store, and found out that after over 15 years I lost my popgunwar Url to some robot in Singapore because of a dumb mistake, and of course we still live in a nightmare world where a fascist steaming turd and dingleberries are in the White House making everything worse for everyone, species disappearing, polar ice caps melting, ocean levels rising, I'm almost 45 years old and sleeping in a frigid attic at a good friend's place. But hey, i have friend or three still and a new book coming out in June. Read it to your kids! There's no poop jokes or bad swear words in it, unlike that ultra violent wrenchies book this ones for the ages of all. And please I do not want any lectures or condolences but I would take a hug and any anti-anxiety helpers that rhyme with hugs at emerald city comic con this weekend.
