“How far away is this photo spot?” He asked with a yawn as he followed behind the overexcited blond. Man, he didn’t know how Prompto could be so upbeat so early in the morning when Noct just wanted to crawl back into his sleeping bag and sleep for at least a few more hours before finally rousing for the day.

There was this spot Prompto wanted to visit though and apparently the best time to get the shots he wanted was early in the morning so Noctis had rather reluctantly agreed.

It brings a smile to her face to see how silly Prompto is, more importantly. Since he’s handed her his phone, she’s just going to take a quick picture when he poses for a much later time to send to her scroll...If he wanted roses, all she needed to do was put her own cloak back on, but he seems to be enjoying himself at the moment, and she’ll let him have it.

“I was just curious what you would look like wearing it, that’s all.” 

Short and sweet answer, Ruby walks over to the blond. Picking up the bottom of her cloak before she wraps it around herself, and, would end up knocking him over. Mainly so that she could be laying on top of him, and places a peck on his forehead. This was her plan all along, adoptive sibling kisses!!

“we all have our moments, prompto.” this isn’t the first time these two had a conversation along the same lines. the king could remember a night on their first couple of days outside the city; that he and his blond friend had a rather deep talk. back then he’d encourage the other that things would be alright and he’d sure as hell do the same thing now. they are brothers, after all.

“keep going forward. dwelling on things said and done that can’t be... undone is just a waste. it’ll only bring you down more, yeah? s’ don’t worry.” noctis responds, giving a warm smile.

“I guess that makes two of us then.” She replied, brushing part of her hair back behind her ear. Her eyes remained focused on the sky before them and she let out a quiet sigh.

Honestly, she thought that she’d have grown more by now. With everything that had happened, it was hard to believe that she hadn’t. Not by much at least. Emotionally. She knew she probably wasn’t going to get taller or anything like that. But it was still so hard to distance herself from where they had come from and learn to live with things as they were. She wished she were better at this. Like Ignis or Gladio. But she wasn’t. Really, she was just a kid, barely old enough to even really call herself an adult. Barely enough of one to understand her emotions.

After all, while they had been traveling together, the gunner had helped him a few times, but he was always listening to what the advisor was telling him. It was the first time that he hadn’t helped him at all. They were simply eating together that night because they didn’t see each other a lot with their different hunts and trainings.

“It’s delicious, Prompto.” He assured with a kind smile. “You learned well.”

     At the sight of the costume, his eyes lit up, practically bouncing in his spot. He always thought about asking Prompto to help him make one-- But to actually see it. That was an exciting time. ‘ I think I remember that photo... WAIT! ‘ He stopped his words in their tracks as he took a moment to process it, eyes wide and looking up at Prompto with shock. ‘ Does that mean that we’re... We’re gonna go? Dressed up!? ‘

Ignis was doing his best to PRETEND he was alright - he was used to be the one taking care of the others, and not otherwise - but he couldn’t say he was. He had always analyzed the environment around him, had always been careful at what he saw. But now, he couldn’t. And the relief in those mines weren’t helping. Also, he couldn’t stand the way Noctis and Gladio were talking to each other, and he really hoped they would calm down soon. He was glad Prompto was the one walking next to him. Even if the blonde didn’t talk about it, he was certainly annoyed by the others’ behavior, too. 

And then, Ignis fell. The ground was too wet and slopping. But Prompto quickly catched him. The advisor HATED himself right now, but he was glad his friend was there. “Thank you, Prompto.” He said gently as he stood up.
