OC Interview!

featuring my girls, Melanthe, Eden, and Aisling!

Tagged by @schoute, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I’VE WANTED TO DO ONE OF THESE!!! Thanks for the tag!!!!!

Tagging @coptix! (frick yeah Luna Hawke!!!!!) And also @markuilleam (no pressure tho lol)

Rules: Answer the following questions as your OC of choice.

I couldn’t pick just ONE, so I said screw it and went with my main three!

1. What’s your name?

Melanthe Ashirill Lavellan. [She grins and bows low and dramatically.] How do you do? [She glances at her sister.]

[Eden clears her throat.] Eden Lavellan.

[Hawke smiles pleasantly and crosses her legs.] Aisling Mariann Hawke.

2. Do you know why you are named that?

[Melanthe shrugs.]

Hawke: No.

Eden: A friend suggested it, I thought it sounded nice, and that’s what I’ve gone with ever since.

3. Are you single or taken?

Hawke: I gave an angsty Tevinter elf my heart, and I hope he keeps it forever.

[Melanthe cackles.] Always the romantic, aren’t you Hawke? As for me… [She pulls an ivory wolf’s jawbone pendant out from under her tunic and waves it around.] Yep.

Hawke: You…went with Solas?

[Melanthe nods.] Yep. The resident egghead Fade expert is mine. And my dear sister is in love with the Commander!

[Eden blushes slightly.] He’s…he’s nice.

[Hawke and Melanthe elbow Eden playfully.]

4. Have any abilities or powers?

[Eden holds up a glowing left hand.] Mel and I have the Anchor. It lets us open and close tears in the Veil.

[Melanthe high-fives her sister with her own glowing hand.] Yes! And we can make tiny holes in the Veil to kill demons sometimes!

Hawke: I’m a mage, specifically a spirit healer with force mage training. It’s pretty cool. Eden’s a mage as well.

Melanthe: And I’m good at poking hundreds of holes in people via a truly epic assortment of knives. [She winks.]

5. Stop being a Mary Sue.

[The three women exchange puzzled glances.]

Hawke: Run that by me again?

Melanthe: I don’t remember killing someone by that name. Nor do I remember any bartenders with that name. Maybe…eh. Nah.

6. What’s your eye color?

[Hawke raises an eyebrow.] You mean to tell me you can’t see it? Blue.

[Melanthe leans in close to the interviewer for a moment.] Gold, but not the same shade as my sister’s. Mine’s better.

Eden: I’m not inclined to disagree.

7. How about your hair color?

Hawke: Black. Like obsidian but, alas! Not as shiny.

Eden: Just..dark red.

Melanthe: Like drying blood!

[Eden makes a face.] Mel, please.

Melanthe: Okay fine. Going with Hawke’s mention of shiny rocks, how about garnet red?

Eden: That is better, yes.

8. Have any family members?

[Hawke suddenly finds the floor most intriguing. Melanthe perks up.] Oh, lots! There’s the twins, Tessa and Feyrand--they’re older than me--Iolanthe’s younger than Eden, we’ve got an even younger brother who has a habit of disappearing and we’ve got cousins galore! There’s Kahris, Maralah, Saelethil…not to mention our clanmates! They’re family too.

Eden: My friends are my family, too. Hawke, Fenris, Cole, Cassandra, Solas, Varric, Sera, Blackwall…the whole inner circle, really.

Interviewer: What about you, Hawke?

[Hawke jerks her head back up.] Oh, sorry. Well… [She coughs into her fist.] I have Fenris and my ducklings, and the Lavellans. That is…all.

9. Oh? How about any pets?

Melanthe: Too many. There’s my palomino horse, I call him Corvo, Eden’s got a hart named Red Velvet, a halla named Evune, probably a dozen different birds, three hamsters aaaaand a rabbit on top of that-

Eden: In my defense, they were mostly rescues.

[Hawke points behind her with her thumb.] There’s an undead bog unicorn in the stables. And a giant nug. And as for me? My mabari Birch is all I need.

10. That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like.

[Hawke deadpans.] Red lyrium.

[Melanthe grimaces.] Oh, I feel you there.

Eden: Stuck-up ancient Tevinter morons who blow things up and then monologue villainously.

Melanthe: Oof, true! Also the Chantry. The Chantry can go- [She spews a long string of obscenities that just about rivals a sailor’s cursing.]

[Eden nods thoughtfully. Hawke’s eyes glint with mischief.] And the TEMPLARS as well, especially the ones who were in KIRKWALL working for MEREDITH-

[Cullen hollers from the next room.] I heard that, Hawke!

[Melanthe and Hawke high-five. Eden shakes her head.] Hawke didn’t mean you, ma atish’an.

Melanthe: Oh yes she did. [snickers]

11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?

[Melanthe leans back in her chair, putting her legs on the table.] Stabbing. Drinking. Kissing Solas. Pranking everyone in Skyhold, the usual trouble.

Eden: Painting, reading, gardening. [A timid smile slowly spreads across her face.] Singing, or playing the harp.

Hawke: Now that you mention it… I write poetry, and sometimes turn them into songs. Journaling is also something I like, and pressing flowers, and-… [Her gaze strays to the wall.] Yeah, that’s about it.

12. Have you hurt anyone in any way before?

[The three women glance at each other, at the interviewer, then back to each other.]

Melanthe: Pfft. What kind of question is that?

[Eden toys with a bracelet.]

Hawke: Oh no, of course not.

13. Ever… killed anyone before?

[Hawke grabs a champagne glass from the end table next to her, and sips it.] Me? Never!

Melanthe: I heard you used the Arishok’s skull as a flowerpot.

[Hawke nearly spits her drink everywhere.] Who told you that?

[Melanthe simply winks at the interviewer.]

14. What kind of animal are you?

Hawke: A dragon. Guarding my treasure hoard~

[Melanthe wiggles her eyebrows.] A sssssslippery sssssssssnake!

Eden: Sorry sister, you’re more of a mountain goat. You’re everywhere you shouldn’t be and you consume an unholy amount of whatever food’s available.

Melanthe: She’s a barn owl. Or a cat, maybe?

15. Name your worst habits?

Hawke: Fenris says I’m a bit overprotective of my friends. Too loyal, too stubborn, too willing to risk my life for others, I “involve myself in the affairs of others” too much, or what have you. But I’ll let you in on a secret: I used to ignore the vast majority of the mail I got when I was a noblewoman of Kirkwall.

Eden: I stay up late reading fiction when I should be dealing with all my mail and- [she lowers her voice.] Sometimes I skip war meetings.

Melanthe: I run exclusively on caffeine and volatile emotions.

16. Do you look up to anyone at all?

Hawke: Eden.

Eden: Hawke.

Melanthe: Iron Bull, Cassandra, Blackwall, Cullen, Leliana, Josie, Tess, Feyrand, Krem, Sera, Solas, Vivienne, Cole, Dorian… [She grins wickedly.] But not you, sister. I’m still taller than you.

Eden: Not if I wear heels.

Melanthe: Not if I stand on Bull’s shoulders!

17. Are you gay, straight or bisexual?

Hawke: Mm, straight.

[Melanthe considers this a moment, then shrugs.]

Eden: Just because I have a boyfriend doesn’t mean I’m into…that.

18. Do you go to school?

Hawke: My parents taught me a lot.

Melanthe: Dalish don’t really have school.

19. Ever want to marry and have any kids one day?

Hawke: I’d like to, yes.

Eden: Marriage? Absolutely, but kids I’m not so sure of.

Melanthe: To be honest I haven’t thought about it. Too busy stabbing demons and undead and corrupted templars and whatnot.

20. Do you have any fangirls/fanboys?

Hawke: Do lovers count as fans?

Melanthe: HEY SOLAS! ARE YOU A FANBOY?

Solas, from the other room: Am I- what?

Melanthe: He’s a fan of the Fade. And me. But be serious, very few people in Skyhold AREN’T fans of me. [She winks.]

21. What are you most afraid of?

Eden: Spiders.

Hawke: Corrupted spiders.

Melanthe: Bears.

22. What do you usually wear?

Hawke: I inherited a bloody awesome coat from my dad complete with belts, a bright red sash, and some shoulder armor. With bonus knee protection, because you can’t protect your knees enough.

Melanthe: I’ve got a sick coat, made of phoenix scales, ring velvet, Highever weave, with lazurite details. I’ve got other coats made of varghest scales, dragonling scales, and gurgut webbing.

23. What one food tempts you?

Melanthe: CHOCOLATE. What kind? Doesn’t matter, it’s MINE.

Hawke: Ham that tastes of despair is okay, but there’s enough despair in the world, and not enough lemon cheesecake.

Eden: …cinnamon rolls.

24. Am I annoying you?

Melanthe: Nope. I’ve got aaaall the time in the world.

Hawke: After all the people I’ve dealt with, it’ll take a lot more to be annoying.

Eden: You’re not a fussy Orlesian noble. You’re doing just fine.

25. Well, it’s still not over!

[Hawke gestures for the interviewer to continue.]

26. What class are you (low/middle/high)?

Hawke: I was an apostate, then a refugee apostate, then a noblewoman apostate, then the Champion of Kirkwall, and now I’m little more than a fugitive, so truth be told, I’m not sure.

Eden: a Dalish First turned Inquisitor. I…don’t…really know?

Melanthe: High class for fancy parties and fancy murders, low class at the tavern.

27. How many friends do you have?

Hawke: About ten.

[Melanthe snorts.] Um, almost a whole castle’s worth.

Eden: My inner circle, plus the ducklings, plus the animals… [She tries counting them, but loses track.] As many friends as I need.

28. What are your thoughts on pie?

Hawke and Melanthe, in unison: Lemon meringue is the best.

Melanthe: Chocolate is equal.

Eden: Pies of all kinds are good. I wish we had them more often.

29. Favourite drink?

Melanthe: Whiskey.

Hawke: That peach liqueur I used to buy in Hightown.

Eden: ….hot chocolate?

30. What’s your favourite place?

[Hawke smiles wistfully.] I have many, but the place I like best is wherever Fenris is.

Melanthe: Awww!!

Hawke: And somewhere we’re not being attacked all the time.

Melanthe: I’m rather fond of that little oasis in the Western Approach. And the Wounded Coast. Storm Coast was pretty, too.

Eden, softly: I liked the Emerald Graves.

31. Are you interested in anyone?

Melanthe: We’re all dating someone at the moment. And we told you that.

32. That was a stupid question…

Hawke: We all say dumb things sometimes.

Melanthe: Some people more often than others.

33. Would you rather swim in the lake or the ocean?

Hawke and Melanthe: Ocean.

Eden: Lake.

34. What’s your type?

Melanthe: Type of what? Blood? Weapons?

Eden: Preferred type of magic?

[Hawke tries not to laugh and fails.] Broody and sometimes glowing.

35. Any fetishes?

[Melanthe smiles brightly.] Stabbing demons.

Hawke: If you think you’re going to get an answer to that, think again.

[Eden squirms and twists her bracelet around her hand.] Next question, please.

36. Camping indoors or outdoors?

Melanthe: Wait….indoor camping is a thing? What is it with you shems and constantly coming up with new nonsense?

Hawke: Pillow or blanket forts, I think.

Eden: …..outdoors?

Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt Help Figment learn about art on this scavenger hunt around World Showcase!

To get started, purchase your map and stickers at Odyssey Festival Showplace, Pin Central, Disney Traders or World Traveler. Maps with stickers will about $6.95 per map. Then, search for Figment hiding inside famous works of art at each World Showcase pavilion—just look for the Figment-themed picture frame. Every time you find Figment, add the corresponding sticker to the pavilion on your map.

Once your journey is complete, return your map to Disney Traders for an artful surprise!

Expression Section: A Paint by Number Mural Head over to the World Showcase Plaza, where you can grab a paintbrush and add your personal touch to a giant mural created by Guests!

In 2019, for the first time, this ever-popular series will be presented daily at the America Gardens Theatre throughout the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

Get swept away by the songs you love. Sit back and sing along with show-stopping numbers from legendary Disney musicals. Every 2 weeks, we’ll welcome different pairs of Disney on Broadway stars to perform some of the songs they helped make famous plus other sensational tunes.

The 2019 Schedule for Disney on Broadway Concert Series:

Mocha Fondue

Update chocolate fondue with a hint of coffee, and serve it with meringue cookies as crispy dippers.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 4-ounce package sweet baking chocolate, broken up 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped 2/3 cup light cream or milk 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar 1 teaspoon instant coffee crystals 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur Assorted fruits such as star fruit slices, pineapple chunks, kiwi fruit wedges, strawberries, pear slices, banana slices Meringue cookies

Cooking Directions:

In a heavy saucepan combine chocolates, cream, sugar, and coffee crystals. Heat and stir over low heat until melted and smooth.

Remove from heat; stir in liqueur. Pour into a fondue pot; keep warm over low heat.

Serve with fruit and cookies.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Well, this is what M&M looked like.

She pulled a Princess Diana with her revenge dress, showing what this loser lost

Fun fact: the little jeweled pendant under her pearl neckless was originally the gem on her engagement ring. She got rid of the band but had the gem made into a necklace

(Gyro gave her a moss agate on an engagement ring) [Also not very important but Mt Tim gives her a pearl engagement ring]

She's too good for ol' Juju. He didn't appreciate her like he should have, and now he's gotta live with it.

Omg he must be fuming to find out that she didn't even pawn that engagement ring he gave her--she simply repurposed it, and it taunts him everytime he sees her wear that necklace. Oh well! He should've never gotten bored with her and cheated on her.

He'd probably lose his damn mind to see her wear that pearl engagement ring that Mt. Tim gave her hahaha! Like no way she bounced back and got engaged again when he's pining over Johnny, whom he'll never have (sadly).

He's an absolute mess who ruined his whole love life.

So my birthday is actually on the 4th but I’ve been celebrating it over the past few days. So bear with me as I release my inner ladyironchef/danielfooddiary vibes to share my birthday experiences as I listen to one of my favourite bands ever (Backstreet Boys)

1st stop : Vatos Urban Tacos.

I LOVE Mexican food and tacos and it also has a Korean twist to some of the dishes, like kimchi fries and bulgogi pork tacos. So since my family is also really big on Korean food, we had definately found the perfect match for our dinner. Food came really quickly after ordering and we even got a plate of corn chips with 2 different dips. But we had also ordered nachos so it got a little much. Overall food was great and we also ordered margaritas which were a lot bigger than what we expected, so for future customers, sharing your margarita is a better option. We were so insanely full I could barely move. Also, I got to wear this super cute A&F white dress I bought from the factory outlet mall when I was in California with a black choker and my essential pair of converse. I’m not one to dress up but I dressed up for dinner in light of my own birthday.

Received my first gift! My sisters and brother in law got me a Kate Spade wallet since my previous wallet was in such a bad shape and thanks to my BIL’s keen eye, they managed to spot this really cute wallet with a bunny in a magician’s hat. Black and gold, just like my previous one but so much nicer, and also big enough so I can slot my phone inside which is what I really wanted so it would be convenient for me to walk around.

2nd Stop: Stamping Ground Coffee

So on my actual birthday, my sister and I decided to go for breakfast at one of the cafes nearby so we could finally try their breakfast and also because I didn’t have school in the morning. I had the avocado toast and it’s literally a whole avocado on the plate, seasoned with sumac which is an interesting choice of spice since sumac is not as popular but brings out an interesting flavour to the avocado. Oh and it’s also topped with a sous vide egg which is layman’s hipster cafe terms is actually a poached egg. Eggs and avocado go really well together and together with the sourdough toast (which was less than the slices of avocado on my plate) ended up being pretty filling so no complaints there!

Had some lunch at home before heading to school for the most boring class ever. Received 2 bags of famous amos cookies from Gavin and a little note. I guess by now everyone knows my obsession with chocolate chip cookies and Gav was sweet enough to get me two knowing how happy it would make me. True friend right there!!! Got home and helped to cook dinner which didn’t exactly turn out the way it was supposed to but still tasted good overall. My sister and brother in law came over for cake afterwards. And ended the night watching an episode of Boy Meets World.

3rd Stop: GoroGoro steamboat and buffet

So my uni friends asked me what kind of food I wanted to have for my birthday dinner and recently I was thinking about steamboats so I took the opportunity to get my dose of steamboat. So today after school we headed there for dinner and it was pretty ok! considering we got some soju and some other stuff they ordered. They gave me a birthday card and a cake but we were all too full for cake haha. Stayed way past the time we were supposed to leave but since nobody chased us out, we stayed and talked about all our crazy funny moments as a squad and reminisced our America trip.

So I just read the card they wrote for me earlier and my squad is seriously so funny. 3 out of 7 of them said something along the lines of “I hope you find yourself and Indian boyfriend soon” HAHAHA THANKS GUYS. And all of them told me to be more confident as all. So thankful for these guys who have seen me through my extreme insecurities, insane American trip moments, indecisive and timid situations, difficulties through school and happy crazily stupid moments in school. People who have really made going to school more bearable. Thank you guys soooooooo much!!!

4th Stop is at Brawn and Brains tmr with my long time best friend and I cant wait for more good food and good company to make my birthday week even more exciting than I planned.

Which reminds me, I made my dream cake for myself!! We were initially gonna order a speculoos cake but then realised that the bakery was closed and even though Singapore has MILLIONS of cake people, whether home bakers or from an actual bakery, they are all pretty expensive and so I decided that I would never want to pay for a Unicorn cake so even though I initially agreed to a simple cake, making my own cake would be the best option. I had no problems making myself a cake although it sounds quite sad, it actually isn’t. For someone who wants to have more experience baking cakes and decorating, doing my own cake just seemed like the best way to have another own in my portfolio and keep myself occupied. Which it really did. So I tried a new recipe from Sorted (which did turn out a little dense but still a good cake) with 4 layers of 6″ vanilla cake with alternating layers of pastry cream and speculoos feuilletine fillings, covered in vanilla swiss meringue buttercream and piped flowers as the unicorn’s mane. Usually, the horn and ears are made of fondant, which I am not a huge fan of so I decided to go fondant-less. I made myself a cone from paper and painted it yellowish/gold and attached toothpicks to it so the paint would not touch the cake directly. the ears were made of halved figs which I absolutely loved the idea of having since the inside of the ears are perfect to replace the ears. It also gave the cake a different touch.

To anyone in Singapore reading this, if you are looking for slightly cheaper handmade cakes, do contact me as I try to build up my repertoire and gain experience and provide you with a great cake!

to finish up, I’ve had great food with more to come, great cake and great company to spend my birthday with and I’m glad things worked out well, Thank you for the gifts and wishes

On a side note, I’m quite sad that Disney has decided to cancel Girl Meets World because it was such a great show with such fun and relatable characters, teaching kids valuable lessons and giving them something to relate to. Even for me at 22, I can relate so well to Riley with her naiveness and fun side. Oh well, I hope kids find another show to relate to as I continue with 7 seasons of Boy Meets World, which is even better and the original idea of the show. Only thing is, it makes me miss my best friend wayyyyy too much, and I hope I get to see her in a few months time because being miles apart sucks. The Shawn Hunter to my Cory Matthews, the Maya Hart to my Riley Matthews and the Cristina Yang to my Meredith Grey.

We haven’t talked about my baby girl M&M in a while ☹️

I think she’d be very friendly and good buddies with Jake Marshall

I also think she’d have a bisexual panic attack when she sees Mia Fey and Diego Armando

Even though M&M is a gentle darling so she’d never

I just see her comically shoving Gyro away to go up to Godot like

“Hey there hot stuff”

But yeah, M&M tells Gyro’s new boy toys about the time he grabbed her and she punched him in the face and before Gyro knows what happening, a cup of coffee is hurled at his head and he’s met with a disapproving Jake

"They shoot you for that in Texas, pardner." 😆

Boooooooy!!! Godot and Jake don't play around with that domestic violence shit. But imagine when they sit down with M&M and realize that she's not only Gyro's ex-wife but she's also the mother of Gyro's son! (In this AU, Reese wouldn't be considered a bastard because his parents were married by the time he was born.) And Gyro had the balls to lay his hands on one of the mothers of his children?

So Gyro walks away with coffee stains all over himself and a stern warning to watch himself around women.

I imagine M&M would be hurt when she finds out that Gyro rebounded from their marriage pretty quick and already found two boyfriends....until she sees Godot. She shooes Gyro away and struts right up to Godot and strikes up a conversation. Of course, he's one of her ex's new boytoys, but unlike her ex-husband, she actually likes talking to him and buys him a round of his coffee. Then Jake strolls over and the three of them seem to have more fun with each other than with Gyro lol

Then Gyro is left behind to sleep on the couch that night and several nights thereafter, as he deserves.

Ok but....speaking of ex's, what if Godot opened up a little and talked about Mia, whom he lost years ago and couldn't do anything about? M&M is such a gentle soul (and she's a little tipsy), so she feels so badly for him and hugs him, rubbing his back soothingly as if she was a mother comforting a child.

I do think Jake and Godot could positively influence the three misfits

Paxe loves cowboy/girl stuff so they’d be inclined to hang out with them

It would be great for Maggie to see people with a similar skin tone to her

It’s no secret Gyro treats her poorly cause she has the same skin and hair as her mom,

But to have a positive influence who her father likes but also has darker skin and hair would be great

It’s weird how similar Godot and Sadie Mae are since I made Sadie Mae before I played Ace Attorney

Whiteish hair, covers eyes, is misunderstood and tragic,

So I feel like they’d get along. Sadie Mae having caring adults who understand her is excellent for her fragile Mental health

Johnny is nice but the more the merrier

(Side note: If Gyro’s having an open relationship can M&M be in the poly thing or is it boys only)

I agree!!! I very much think that Godot and Jake could be positive role models for the bastard trio where Gyro falls short. For example, both Jake and Godot pick up on how Gyro is ruder more often to Maggie than to Paxe and Sadie-Mae, which they find weird. Very unusual. They want to investigate it more without setting off alarms in Maggie's head that something serious might be going on. In the meantime, they occupy Maggie's time, helping her with homework, lifting her down from the monkey bars when she's stuck and calling for help, accompanying her on walks in the park (and chasing after her if she ever gets too far or tries to run off by herself).

One detail I try to carefully navigate through is understanding Maggie's reaction when she's around her peers and family members who don't really look like her. Johnny and his children have fairer skin, much like her classmates, and up until now, only Gyro had darker skin like hers, but even his was significantly lighter. Maggie's got darker skin like her mom, and with Gyro's constant mistreatment, she felt like she didn't really fit in. She later questioned if her father didn't like her because she didn't look like him. She favored the mother (in terms of appearance). Then along came Godot and Jake who have skin color of a shade similar to hers, who pepper in a few foreign words her and there like her father, who have darker hair like hers (well, before Godot's turned white lol)...They were like cultural role models for Maggie and helped her feel more comfortable. Coupled with the fact that Gyro really liked these men, they made her feel safer.

But that still didn't answer the question of why Gyro was especially rude to her whenever she wore anything yellow.

And wouldn't it be cute if Jake and Godot taught Maggie and her sisters a bit of Spanish? I think it would be cute. Like, Gyro doesn't know Spanish, so anytime Jake or Godot catches him being standoffish with Maggie, they cheer Maggie up by saying a lighthearted joke about Gyro in Spanish. Maggie understands what they're saying and laughs at the joke, and Gyro is completely clueless lol.

Ok so there's this one scene in Back to the Future Part III where a sheriff is teaching his son how to be sheriff and tough with outlaws. The outlaw tries to get smart with him and tells him to smile because the sheriff is always frowning, and the sheriff replied, "The only party I'll be smiling at is one that sees you at the end of a rope." And when the outlaw walks away, the sheriff tells his son not to give any of these outlaws any ground, and the son replied with, "I will, Pa."

And so the point is, Paxe eventually opens up to the idea that Godot and Jake are coinhabiting HER house (that's right, her house and not Gyro's lol), and she gets curious as children are. She tails Jake around the most, asking him what he does, and he explains in his own way that he's a rogue sheriff, and she's just. Taken by the idea of being a cowboy! So long story short, I can see that scene happening between the two of them, where Jake teaches Paxe how to be tough with criminals, and Paxe eagerly takes in all of the information. And Jake is so proud of her!!!! He pats her shoulder and tells her what a good job she's doing (gruffly, of course) and takes her out to lunch to have spaghetti, which she's not gonna say no to.

Godot taking care of Sadie-Mae is like a ray of sunshine for the girl. She thought that she was all alone in her pain and that she stood out in all the wrong ways. Then she meets one of the guys her buffoon of a father is dating and...she feels seen. There's this invisible connection between Godot and Sadie-Mae that subconsciously draw them together. At first, Sadie-Mae tries to dismiss Godot like she would her father, but he doesn't go away like she wanted. Instead, he stays and plays with her a bit, using her own words against her to poke fun at her. Light fun, and no matter what she says to him to make him go away, her words never hit him. He sits across from her, sipping his coffee, savoring the bitterness of it, and calling her "kitten" and "princess". He's so charming that her frustration kinda burns out, and she finds herself chatting pleasantly with him. He asks her about that favorite porcelain doll she always carried around, and she opens up even more, eventually gushing all about how she loves her doll. And she doesn't even realize it! When she realizes that she's talking to much or just generally sounding silly, she gets all self-conscious and clams up again. He picks up on her sudden shyness and chuckles--it was cute!

The next day, Gyro nearly falls out of his chair when he sees that brat Sadie-Mae run up to Godot after school and immediately ask him for homework help.

Also like....Godot giving Sadie-Mae a piggy back ride, come on now!!! And whenever she says to make a turn or go here or go there, he replies with "As you wish, princess". You know, general dad-daughter cutesy stuff.

But due to their traumatic backgrounds, do you think that Godot would be especially physically protective of Sadie-Mae? Like, sometimes a serious thing happens or appears on TV, and Godot immediately shoo-es Sadie-Mae off, so that she doesn't see what's happening. Same goes for the other girls. When the girls are on the playground and one of them goes out of his line of sight, he's out of his chair looking for them.

And omg!!! Ever hear of a kids game where the kids are playing on a playground slide and tree and pretend that the playground construct is a ship and the ground around them is the ocean? Well, the girls pretend that they're sailors tryna survive on their stranded ship and not get caught by three "monsters" lurking in the water. So the girls run and jump from one end of their "ship" to the other while Gyro, Jake, and Godot slip underneath them and try to grab them from the steps or slide, etc. It's a little pretend game of survival.

And Johnny loves Gyro's children and thinks of them as his own, but he's also got Julia and Marco to worry about. M&M has Reese, so I imagine that all of the adults work together to wrangle the kids.

I swear every time I draw her she gets prettier and prettier

I gave her longer hair and a different hat

I have her that cute scarf cause I didn’t like the old one

I gave her back her hetrochromia as well

Omg she's so taaaaaaaaall!!!! And very pretty. I love her hat. I can almost see her carry around a little umbrella/parasol as she walks the 1890-1891 streets.

And imagine that Gyro holds her from behind and kisses up her arm, stopping at her cheek. He's trying to woo her and it's working.

Do you need some angst?

I've revised M&M's canon death.

Basically, It's during the final chase against Valentine.

Both Gyro and M&M have been shot a few too many times.

M&M gets knocked off her horse at one point. But rather than use her healing bullets to save herself. She shoots Gyro with it to heal him.

It's kind of payback for him looking out for her when they first met (Him taking her in after he found her passed out at an early checkpoint) and for them being her best friends.

Unfortunately, shortly after healing them, she succumbs to her own wounds and dies.

[you know how in part 5 when Abbacchio dies, Moody Blues crumbles apart? When M&M dies, she drops her stand gun, and it shatters into bits and rose petels]

THAT IS SO SAD OH MY GOOOODDDDDDD

AND IT'S SO SWEET!!!!

It makes my heart cry TT_TT

Ok but...Imagine that Gyro and Johnny visit M&M's grave years later to leave roses there and thank her for all that she's done for them. And sometime later, the roses that they leave never wilted by some sort of magic. I'd like to believe that M&M's spirit is still alive in them.

And whenever Gyro smells roses, he thinks of her. Bonus if she made them a blanket or a scarf when she was alive to keep them warm during the cold nights sleeping outside.

Please oh please, you're making me cry as I type this......You better have some sweet ideas to make up for this bitter angst....

Can you imagine Johnny's and Gyro's reactions to seeing M&M lifeless on the ground? They didn't notice that she fell right away with all the intensity of trying to stop Valentine. So it's after Johnny killing Valentine that he notices that M&M isn't moving. Gyro regains consciousness and movement slowly, but he still doesn't realize it until Johnny tells him, through tears, that M&M had died. Then Gyro looks down and sees the last remaining vines of Guns n Roses heal his gunshot wounds and fade away. Gyro could almost hear her voice, feel her hand on his cheek as she said goodbye.

You know, I thought I should expand more on the scene where M&M punches Gyro after theirs argument and what happens after

Neither G nor J know about her r*pe trauma, they know that she’s lived a rough life, but not about that specifically

After Johnny sees what happens he glared at Gyro before crawling over to M&M while insisting that they apologize to each other. Saying what she did was crazy, but he was being an asshole

But M&M isn’t having it

(even though she does feel kind of bad, she isn’t about to be chastised by Johnny when he doesn’t even know why she did it. And at this point she doesn’t trust either of them to tell them)

So she storms off, grabs her stuff, and goes to her horse and ditches them.

Johnny’s just sitting around and Slow Dancer is too far away so all he can do is watch while yelling at her to stop

Meanwhile Gyro isn’t doing anything cause he’s too bitter and upset to care

They stay split for a while till we come up to the Civil War arc,

Aka the moment when everyone gets to vomit their trauma on each other (you know where this is going)

M&M happens to be there and gets to relive moments she’s been sexual harassed and that one time she was full on assaulted.

(I can’t recall if characters are able to see or sense what people are experiencing, but they way she’s crying and yelling kind of gives it away too)

When all that’s done, they find her sitting by herself.

They try and reach out to her, only for her to turn around with her tear-stained crying face.

Gyro and Johnny start trying to talk to her and resolve what happened before, going

“I-we didn’t know that you had experience with that stuff”

“I wish I’d known about grabbing your arm like that, I wouldn’t have done it”

“I’m sorry”

They’re tryna talk to her but it doesn’t last long as M&M has a breakdown

She just starts borderline ugly crying, and starts sobbing out that she’s sorry she almost shot them and that she’s sorry.

[my poor baby is so lonely and sad, truth be told she really didn’t wanna lose her only friends]

Johnny and Gyro don’t know what to do as she’s just sobbing.

Where do you think it should go from there

So it's kinda like how Johnny sees hallucinations of his dad, M&M sees it of one of those assholes whole put his hands on her and idk maybe abused her. Oh boy. That is one of the most HORRIFYING things that I have thought of in a bit of a long while. Because I can just imagine this like shadowy figure resembling the guy as M&M remembers him appearing from nowhere with his hands eemrging from the floor, bending at the wrist to catch her ankles and pull her closer. And she letds it happen, not because she wants to but because she's literally paralyzed with fear. LITERALLY PARALYZED WITH FEAR! She can't move at all, and she can hardly breathe. She wishes that she was anywhere, ANYWEHRRE else than right there, right then.

She would be the most mentally fucked up than either Gyro or Johnny. And she cries, heart pounding, feeling like it's gonna rip from her chest. She's shaking and sobbing, a real wreck in front of them, even when Civil War has been defeated and it was all over. She cannot control it. All she sees is that man and fear. His hands feel like searing hot iron bars against her skin, his breath burned her like scalding steam, and she lost the strength to fight.

Neither Gyro nor Johnny would ever, EVER know what it was like to be powerless. To be at the mercy of a madman. To feel like nothing when he attacks your most sensitive parts. Her male companions would never know that pain.

Indeed, they don't. They even know it. Gyro is a doctor but this is the first time that he doesn't know how to help a person who is clearly in pain. He can sow together any wound, he thinks and puffs out his chest as he strokes his own ego, but to sow back a mind wounded together, it is Beyond Him, sadly. He wished he knew how to sew, mend, and heal a broken mind.

Johnny is a little more sympathetic, but he had assumed M&M was crying so much and reacting so much because she had lost her parents. He didn't know that it was about something much darker.

I assume that M&M forgives them and they forgive her, and all is well in the kingdom. She wants to remain friends with them, and that is, sadly, all that she has in this life besides Rum Cake (at this point, before she has her Reesey-Piecey). It is this moment where they come together and they learn about each other. Where they feel comfortable with each other. Where their friendship blooms into an unyielding trust and love. Arguably, they remain greater friends afterwards than before. At least, I like to think that.

How long is it that they're apart? Maybe like three weeks or so? Because I was wondering if M&M could run into some further trouble, get a little roughed up, and provoke her old male companions' concerns when they see her scars or bruises.

I’m not sure I’ve ever told you how M&M met Gyro and Johnny.

Basically, at some checkpoint, Gyro found M&M passed out on some bench

He tries to wake them up, but she’s out cold.

Gyro then began arguing with himself over whether or not he should help her.

This is back when Gyro is still doing is “uncaring and not nice” act

So he doesn’t wanna seem soft by helping a competitor

But he reasons to himself that someone might’ve drugged them, and someone might take advantage of them,

And his dad would be disappointed in him if he just let a girl get r*ped

So he just kind of picks them up and brings them over to where Jojo and him were stay

Johnny’s all like, “Who’s that?”

And Gyro’s like,

“I found them passed out in the middle of nowhere”

“If I didn’t find them someone worse would’ve”

Johnny, still being a bit cold, is all like

“So you’re helping out random strangers you didn’t on the side of the road?”

Gyro gets a bit huffy and goes “I helped you”

After a while, M&M wakes up and gets very nervous when she sees the two of them just sitting around

She goes “who the hell are y’all”

Gyro nonchalantly goes,

“You were passed out in the middle of nowhere”

“Thought someone might’ve taken advantage of you”

M&M is pleasantly surprised that not only did this random guy not take advantage while she was unconscious but actually helped her not get taken advantage of

She shy states that that’s normal for her and talks a bit about her disability.

Johnny starts to feel a bit sympathetic since he knows how shitty it is to be disabled

M&M thanks them and is preparing to go back on her own

Gyro basically decides, “This poor girl is gonna die in the race, I just know it”

And Johnny’s like “yep”

Gyro, not wanting to seem empathetic, notes that he won’t feel like he earned his victory if he just lets her die, he’d feel like he’s earned it if he helps her while still winning.

(Aka he wants to help her cause he is a nice guy and doesn’t like seeing helpless people get hurt ex: Marco)

Johnny decides they need to help her too, cause Johnny isn’t about to be a hypocrite by leaving a disabled person to die alone, like so many people did to him. Nah, he wants to be better than that.

(As time goes on he gets more protective over her as he sees her as so innocent and she reminds him of himself before he got all cocky and his life fell apart, he wants to save her from becoming bitter like him)

So they invite her to team up with them. To which she shyly accepts.

And that’s how it all started.

What do you think?

To be honest, I think you're onto something. We saw in the Sugar Mountain Arc (and elsewhere) that Gyro is altruistic, despite his cockiness and aggression seen at the beginning of SBR. He wants to help people! He didn't become a surgeon just because that was his family's business! ...Well, ok, maybe he had no choice there, BUT I think it's plausible to say that he enjoyed fixing people and making them feel happy, better, and healthy. He worked real hard and took risks to fix the vision of Wekapipo's sister, even if it ended in failure. He's also kinda soft around small, cute looking women and sick, older patients. He gets sentimental, of course, despite his father's warnings.

And the whole reason he signed up for the SBR is to save the life of a kid he was assigned to execute. He's very altruistic, even if he doesn't show it. We even see him try to investigate why Diego was passed out in the wilderness, so I think he would do the same to M&M. He also checks her pulse and other doctor things to make sure that she's ok. Well, she seems fine, just very sleepy, and sleeping on the bench is one hell of a discomfort. He had heard of narcolepsy before, but he didn't know much about it, and neither did his father and the medical/scientific community at large.

For the time being, he didn't know how else to help her other than to watch over her until she woke up. And of course they don't think she's gonna make it far when she's passing out left and right. But she does look...cute laying there, all peaceful and relaxed. Gyro didn't notice these thoughts at first until they became louder as the race went on. Even Johnny started to notice that he was acting strangely towards her.

Imagine a comical moment when Gyro is acting all tough and aloof, saying that he doesn't care about M&M's well-being, but wouldn't feel that a victory is a true victory if he didn't earn it, and M&M instantly thinks that he's an asshole when that's just his way of saying he wants to help. So, from the start, M&M didn't like Gyro all that much and often whispered to Johnny to find out more about Gyro's problem. Then around Kansas and the Sugar Mountain Arc, M&M and Gyro come to know each other a little better, talking about their hometown's best foods and roasting each other over it.

and imagine...M&M getting drowsy all of a sudden and falling backwards, instantly asleep. Gyro catches her from behind, but then he's just kinda awkwardly standing there and holding her, so he carries her in his arms to their camp and sets her down. And his hand brushes against hers. She feels so soft, and when Johnny catches him holding M&M's hand, he claims that he's just checking her pulse again lol

From then on, Johnny kept watch over Gyro whenever M&M is nearby and scolded him not to get too close to her. He gets protective over M&M like a big brother figure. And can you imagine Johnny waking up and finding the two of them laying next to each other after *that* night? Gyro claims that he was keeping her warm during the winter night and M&M agrees, but Johnny isn't so sure....He kept that scene in the back of his head for a while, and years later, when he finds out who Reese is, well, needless to say, Gyro sleeps on the couch that night.
