Happy Birthday, My Love ¬ Sirius B.

Plot - After all the darkness of his past, this year's birthday was full of light

Pairing - Sirius Black x Fem!Reader

Notes/Warnings - Nothing except cheesiness and some kissing. The pronouns are neutral but it's a pregnant reader so I put fem! to avoid anyone being uncomfortable or caught out.

Word Count - 640

The shuffle of feet against the soften carpet drew Sirius from the clutches of sleep. All those years being on hyper-alert had left him a light sleeper, even now that the danger had passed. No more was he confined in hiding, he could now wake up amongst cotton sheets with windows open to the beauty of nature. No more sleeping with his hand gripping his wand as if he would have to battle in the dark, now his hand could intertwine with yours.

Steps grew closer as the messy haired wizard sat against the plush headboard, curiosity flooding his mind at the sound. With gentle movements, the door slowly opened to reveal you.

There you stood, hair styled by the pillow and actions of the previous night, cloaked in Sirius' old button up. The mischievous smile on your face was softened by the look of adoration clouding your eyes as you noticed that the man was awake. Taking in your beauty before allowing his eyes to fall towards those delicate hands, a small cupcake. Red and gold colours decorating the delicious treat, all topped off with a glittering candle.

"Sirius Orion Black, is it that difficult to stay asleep for just 2 more minutes?"

"Sleep any longer without you by my side? Impossible" His cool smile, the same one you fell in love with all those years ago, graced his face as your cheeks heated up at those oh-so romantic words.

With a cheeky eyeroll, you ventured across the bed and placed yourself on the pureblood's lap. Feeling his arms snake around your waist, balancing your body whilst bringing you closer. Carefully manoeuvring the cupcake between the little space left, you mumble a quick charm to light the baron candle.

"Happy birthday, my love. Make a wish"

What more could he wish for? He had the most gorgeous partner who showed him what love truly meant. His friends were safe and thriving, getting to work alongside each other in his dream job. His brother was a part of his life again and those who sought to hurt him were truly gone. All he could want is more of this.

Dramatically inhaling, the large gust of air released and the flame was extinguished, the smoke carrying his wish of stability into the wind. Snatching the cupcake from your hand as he placed it on the cherry-wood table, he placed a tender kiss against your lips in a moment of appreciation.

"Can I have my presents now? Particularly the one that involves no clothes…" Eyebrows wiggling to accentuate the suggestive words as you chuckled at the birthday boy. Placing a single hand against his warm chest, pausing him in his movements.

"Trust me, plenty of that later. But I have a better present first"

Cupping his hands in yours, pulling them from your hips to lay on your stomach. You watched his stunning eyes for any indication of realisation but alas, the Black boy was not known for reading between the lines.

"I'm pregnant Sirius"

Face lighting up with emotions, flashes of confusion mixed with pure joy took hold over his sculpted face in a dance of feelings. Body barely moving as he took in the news, eyes doing most of the talking and those luscious lips slowly spreading into a beaming grin.

"Are you sure? I'm going to be a dad?"

Nodding your head as you felt the tears well in your eyes, only to be knocked against the fluffy mattress as the excited man litters your face with joy-filled kisses. His body loomed over yours as his head dipped erratically, trying to place a kiss on every inch of your face and chest. Before stopping to hover over your lips, eyes locking in the intense moment.

"I love you. This is a better present than I could have wished for."
