Roma, furti e borseggi: 6 persone arrestate in provincia sulle tratte ferroviarie Sono 6 le persone arrestate nei giorni scorsi dalla Polizia di Stato in ambito ferroviario nel territorio della Provincia di Roma in 4 diverse situazioni. Indagini svolte dagli agenti della Polizia Ferroviaria del Compartimento per il Lazio. Nei giorni scorsi, il personale della squadra di Polizia Giudiziaria Compartimentale, nel corso dei servizi predisposti per la repressione dei reati nell'area della stazione di Roma Termini ha tratto in arresto una persona, poiché inottemperante ad un provvedimento giudiziario. Nello specifico l'uomo è stato rintracciato all'interno dello scalo ferroviario e dagli accertamenti esperiti è risultata a suo carico un'ordinanza di custodia cautelare in carcere. Il soggetto è stato arrestato ed associato presso una casa circondariale della capitale. Poche ore dopo, sempre gli agenti della squadra di Polizia Giudiziaria Compartimentale hanno tratto in arresto due persone, responsabili in concorso tra loro, di flagrante furto aggravato ai danni di un viaggiatore. Nel particolare gli agenti, mentre si trovavano a bordo di un convoglio metropolitano della linea "A" proveniente da Ottaviano e diretto verso lo scalo capitolino di Termini, alla fermata "Repubblica" hanno notato, a bordo di una carrozza, due individui accerchiare in maniera palesemente sospetta un turista presente sul convoglio, particolarmente affollato. Entrambi i soggetti venivano riconosciuti dagli operanti, perché già fermati in altre circostanze sempre assieme, a bordo di convogli metropolitani e tratti in arresto in precedenza per reati contro il patrimonio. Durante le fasi della salita/discesa nella stazione di Repubblica i correi, favoriti dalla ressa venuta a crearsi, sono entrati in azione e, mentre uno riusciva a sottrarre il portafoglio celato all'interno del giubbino di un ignaro viaggiatore che aveva di fronte, l'altro lo passava poi al proprio complice per uscire frettolosamente dal convoglio al fine di guadagnarsi l'impunità. Gli agenti prontamente intervenuti hanno bloccato i correi e nella circostanza uno dei due tentava vanamente di disfarsi del maltolto, gettando il portafoglio appena sottratto in terra; il tutto però immediatamente recuperato dagli operatori Polfer. La refurtiva, consistente nella somma di 250 Euro, varie carte di credito e documenti è stata restituita integra al legittimo proprietario che ha formalizzato la querela dell'accaduto. Per i due soggetti è stato convalidato l'arresto e per uno dei due è stato disposto il divieto di dimora nel comune di Roma. Il giorno seguente, il personale della Squadra di Polizia Giudiziaria ha tratto in arresto una persona per il reato di furto aggravato di un cellulare, ai danni di una turista bulgara. In particolare un agente della Polizia Ferroviaria, libero dal servizio, mentre si trovava a bordo di un convoglio della Metro linea A, ha notato un uomo che a bordo di una carrozza, nel tratto tra le stazioni "Barberini" e "Termini" si è avvicinato ad un gruppo di turisti stranieri, in modo da non essere osservato e, mantenendo la mano sinistra dentro una borsa di colore nero, allungava il braccio destro verso lo zaino di una viaggiatrice. In prossimità della fermata Termini il soggetto, approfittando della folla che si era avvicinata alla porta per scendere dal convoglio, con un gesto repentino si appropriava con destrezza di un cellulare e con indifferenza cercava di allontanarsi verso le scale mobili che portano all'uscita della metro, venendo prontamente bloccato dall'agente intervenuto. La refurtiva, del valore di 1.000 Euro veniva restituita alla proprietaria dopo la formalizzazione della prevista denuncia/querela negli Uffici della Polfer. Arresto convalidato per il soggetto che è stato tradotto in una struttura carceraria della capitale. In un'altra occasione il personale della Squadra di Polizia Giudiziaria Compartimentale, durante i consueti servizi di prevenzione e repressioni dei reati all'interno della stazione ferroviaria di Roma Termini, ha tratto in arresto due persone, per furto aggravato in concorso di uno zaino, ai danni di un viaggiatore. Gli agenti, durante il servizio di repressione dei reati predatori svolto in abiti civili, avvistavano i due soggetti che, con fare sospetto, si aggiravano tra gli avventori del locale commerciale "Trattoria Fresco" sito all'interno dello scalo ferroviario, mentre ponevano costantemente attenzione ai viaggiatori presenti con bagagli al seguito. I due correi, dopo aver individuato un cliente che si era alzato dal tavolo per chiedere un caffè al bancone e, dopo essersi scambiati cenni inequivoci di intesa, mettevano in atto la loro azione delittuosa, avvicinandosi al bagaglio del malcapitato e mentre uno, con chiare funzioni di palo, osservava che non vi fosse alcuno che li potesse notare, l'altro si avvicinava allo zaino che l'avventore aveva lasciato vicino al tavolo e con mossa fulminea, approfittando della situazione propizia, si appropriava indebitamente del bagaglio, riposto sopra un trolley, allontanandosi velocemente. Gli operanti raggiungevano i due uomini bloccandoli e traendoli in arresto. Immediatamente veniva rintracciata la parte lesa, che non si era accorta di quanto occorsogli, alla quale veniva restituito lo zaino con all'interno un tablet, uno smartphone ed altri accessori elettronici il tutto per un valore di 500,00 Euro, in sede di redazione della denuncia/querela. Gli arrestati, al termine delle formalità di rito, rimanevano a disposizione dell'Autorità Giudiziaria. I GRANDI FESTIVAL – Dal 21 al 29 settembre

Direttamente dall’ultima edizione della Mostra d’Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia arriva, nelle sale cinematografiche di Roma e del Lazio, una significativa selezione dei film che hanno contrassegnato la storica kermesse al suo ottuagenario.

“I GRANDI FESTIVAL Da Venezia a Roma e nel Lazio”, realizzata dall’Associazione Nazionale Esercenti Cinematografici (ANEC) del Lazio, quest’anno si terrà dal 21 al 29 settembre in numerosi cinema della capitale e della regione, per offrire l’opportunità al vasto pubblico di confrontarsi con film di grande valore artistico presentati a Venezia in lingua originale con i sottotitoli in italiano.

L’iniziativa gode del patrocinio della Regione Lazio, ed è in collaborazione con la Mostra d’Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia, Fondazione Cinema per Roma, Sindacato Nazionale Critici Cinematografici Italiani (SNCCI, gruppo Regione Lazio), Settimana Internazionale della Critica, Giornate degli Autori. Media partner dell’iniziativa sono Dimensione Suono Soft, Metro, Mymovies.it e Rete Oro.

Le proiezioni

Con l’obiettivo di valorizzare l’importanza dell’esperienza cinematografica in sala in un territorio geografico esteso anche oltre la Capitale, la rassegna presenterà 50 film per un totale di 87 proiezioni con opere provenienti dalle sezioni “Concorso” (14), “Fuori Concorso” (2), “Orizzonti” (6), “Giornate degli Autori” (16), “Notti Veneziane” (8), “Settimana Internazionale della Critica” (4). Le sale di Roma coinvolte nella manifestazione saranno i cinema Adriano, Barberini, Farnese, Giulio Cesare, Greenwich, Intrastevere, Lux, Mignon, Nuovo Sacher, Quattro Fontane e Savoy; sul territorio regionale del Lazio, invece, le proiezioni saranno ospitate da Multisala Moderno di Bolsena, Dream Cinema di Frosinone, Multisala Cynthianum di Genzano di Roma, Multisala Oxer di Latina, Multisala Moderno di Rieti e Cinema Palma di Trevignano Romano.

Tutti i principali film saranno introdotti da critici ed esperti cinematografici e alcune proiezioni saranno anticipate da eventi speciali con alcuni dei registi e protagonisti dei film: tra i nomi di rilievo Micaela Ramazzotti e Matteo Garrone, entrambi con cast al seguito, le francesi Chloé Barreau e Céline Sciamma, la macedone Teona Strugar Mitevskam, l’iraniano Ayat Najafi. Nell’elenco degli italiani provenienti dalle Giornate degli Autori e dalla Settimana Internazionale della Critica che presenzieranno alle proprie opere ci sono invece Marco Amenta, Yuri Ancarani, Alessandra Cataleta, Irene Dorigotti, Simone Isola, Dunja Lavecchia, Gianluca Matarrese, Edoardo Morabito, Patrizia Pistagnesi, Alessandro Roia, Fabio Mollo, Vittorio Moroni, Morena Terranova Pedroni, Tommaso Santambrogio, Beatrice Surano.

Il costo del biglietto è di € 7,00 (intero), € 6,00 (ridotto), con la possibilità di richiedere una Fidelity Card che consentirà ogni 5 ingressi 1 omaggio. L’orario della prima proiezione sarà alle ore 16:30, l’ultima alle ore 21:30. I biglietti sono acquistabili ai botteghini dei singoli cinema e in prevendita online sui siti delle singole sale.

Travel notes: Italy (Rome). Entry 8 - March 6, 2003

Back in Madrid, on a beautiful springlike Thursday. Processing this last trip.

Parting snapshots from Rome:

– Two evenings ago: walking down a narrow backstreet, a couple passed, going into a restaurant. Him: completely done up in black, from his extravagant pompador, to his fringed, silver-studded black leather jacket, to his baggy black vinyl pants, to his standard-issue black footwear.

– Yesterday a.m:. Sitting at a table on the sunny side of Piazza Barberini, watching the constant stream of pedestrians flowing by. In sitting there, I broke my own rule about never patronizing a bar/restaurant that advertises itself as American. But it was the only place around the entire goddamn piazza with tables/chairs. If I wanted to spend time enjoying sun and spring-like temperatures, I had to bite the bullet. In so doing, I bought the single most expensive cup of cappucino I've ever sipped. Which reinforced my theory about bars/restaurants of that ilk: they're tourist traps. Avoid ‘em.

– I sat watching people, reminded all over again about certain crimes being currently committed in the name of fashion. In this case, I refer to the faux cowboy-boot look that's in here this winter/spring. They're all over the place and they're mighty silly. Using the basic cowboy-boot template, then exaggerating the look in one way or another -- huge, high heels or pointy boot-toe that goes on and on and on (as if the footwear originally belonged to a cowboy clown) or wildly exaggerated angles, flaring outward from the heel to the balls of the foot, then sharply inward toward the toe. You get the idea. Many, many women in Rome and Florence wore ‘em, as do many women & men in Madrid. Not many Italian men, that I saw. For what that's worth.

– Took a bus route I'd never been on before to Rome's train station, doing it during the morning as a dry run, a rehearsal for later in the day when I'd be weighted down with luggage and not wanting to encounter any unexpected surprises. On the way back, the driver, perhaps post-one-too-many-espressos, went as fast as possible -- stopping and starting sharply, rattling around sharp corners at serious velocity, showing no quarter to other traffic. As he neared Piazza Barbieri, threading his way down a narrow street, he clipped a truck, his side mirror coming off with a loud noise, flying up into the air, landing hard on the sidewalk, everyone in the bus watching with eyes large as dinner plates. He pulled over at the next bus stop, sat there for a few moments before finally getting out and heading back to retrieve the pieces. Many passengers (including me) took the opportunity to exit the vehicle and slink quickly away.

– Thirty or forty minutes later, sitting at my little table in Piazza Barberini, the noise of a collision directly in front of where I sat announced another mishap, this one between a bus and a small blue car. The bus stopped where it was (traffic behind it honking indignantly), the car pulled over in front of the bus. The larger vehicle probably suffered little damage. The car's right rear corner, on the other hand, had been drastically altered. Both drivers got out, conferred. The woman studied her little blue buggy, apparently decided the damage had been her fault, got back in the car, drove off. All the passersby who had stopped to watch moved on, some looking a bit disappointed.

– Four Brits sat down at the table to my right, immediately stripping down to t-shirt and milk-white skin. Most of the locals who walked by kept their winter togs on and zipped up, looking as if the idea of removing them would be an act of lunacy.

– Went trawling for a likely lunch joint. Not a trattoria this time as my flight schedule didn't allow for the time that would involve. Looked around my hotel's neighborhood, found a hole-in-the-wall that dispensed cafeteria-style lunch food, took a chance. Ordered a sandwich, then asked about the pasta. The counterman conducted me to the other end of the shop where he shoveled a mountain of linguini in cream sauce and lemon onto a plate for me. Pretty close to bliss.

– On the nearly-empty train out to the airport, two 20-something Chinese women carried on loud, animated conversation, punctuated by near-constant laughter. One received a phone call, talking enthusiastically to whoever called, the other finding most everything she said hilarious.

– Leaving the city, the train passed apartment buildings whose roofs bristled with concentrations of television antennas, all sitting atop long, high masts. Also, bridges covered in colorful graffiti and patches of dense greenery, including stands of urban lemon trees.

– Checking in at the airport, the counter person told me the flight was already delayed by an hour. We found out why when we were finally in the air, nearing Madrid: major storms had swept through the area, were moving on east as we began to descend so that we moved between enormous, rolling white mountains of clouds, passing through vast airborne canyons. An amazing display. As we rounded one towering bank of thunderheads, I saw long trailing streamers extended down toward the shadowed land below from the bottom of a cluster of dark clouds

To the west, Madrid glistened in evening sunlight, streets and sidewalks drying out.

On the Metro ride into town from the airport in Madrid: a young woman sat reading a translation of "I, Claudius." The title in Spanish? "Yo, Claudio."
