Connection between Beys in MFB based on Greek mythology.

Note: This is not exactly a family tree but rather a summary of how Beys are connected through their respective myths. Ancient mythology often has variations in their tales, notably in Orion’s birth. I aimed to include as many characters as possible while staying true to what each Bey represents. Additionally, I ensured that only existing Beys are featured.

Befall is not included because there is no Hera Beyblade.

Sol Blaze was not taken into account since Blaze represents the sun rather than the god Apollo.

Horuseus was added because of its fusion wheel, Vulcan, making it a reference to the god of the same name.

The "Master and Pet" category would be more appropriately renamed "Animal Symbol."

In cases where multiple characters owned the same Bey, I chose the one that appeared the most, especially if they had a manifestation of their spirit.

Mayblade day 3: Eyes

I'm so proud of that one. Too bad Nile didn't have heterochromia (one eye Yellow, one Blue) to resemble Horus. Or they could made it that his eyes changed colors during a special attack. Something related to Eclipse for example. I kinda get it that green eyes work well with the color of his clothes, but he would look awesome with those 2 color eyes.

daddy's girl, super chaotic, wants to look and be exactly like him 😈

has her mother's eyes and her dimple but that's like the only thing, the rest of her is kyoya LMAO

she has a combination of hair styles. kyoya's bangs and ponytail (when it's tied up), tsubasa's ahoge (because that's her uncle), and she has those strands on the side of her face that come out like haru (also her uncle) and wears the hair clasp like him too. she'll probably grow up to grow her hair out and start wearing the clasp like tsubasa and kiara do (i need to draw an older version of her now omg)

i do want her to follow in her uncle kakeru's footsteps and get a piercing at one point i think that would be so funny like 13 year old yoko coming home with nrw piercings and kyoya's like bro wtf and kakeru is there with her like i took her bro don't worry 😭😭😭

very rebellious child i want her to be 😈 but that's her when she grows up. this is young yoko we're talking about here

she'll ask her mother to draw kyoya's scars on her face with her makeup, and if her mother says no, she'll get the makeup anyways and do it herself just so she can look like him

also gave her the otori hair clasp it's like a family tradition to have one now (still don't know what will be engraved on hers i need to figure that out)

only person in the world she loves more than her dad is uncle nile (but it's VERY close) like she'll leave her dad's arms and go running to nile when he shows up, but if they ever bicker or have some kind of disagreement, she'll take her father's side

still loves nile enough to paint her face exactly like his too it's her favourite thing to do

also yoko having her mother's eyes and nile being in love with kiara during the masters / fury arc before he realises she only ever loved kyoya in that way reminded me of "i don’t want the children of another man to have the eyes of the girl i won't forget" BECAUSE THAT'S SO HIM AH THE ANGST 😈 can you tell i'm an angst enjoyer 😈😈😈😈😈😈

also, i was looking up japanese names that meant fierce because that's the kind of personality i wanted this kid to have, and i came across the name yoko

i decided to go with the yoko spelling so that yu and tithi calling her yoyo makes more sense but yes she's also victim to the yoyo curse it's generational HAHA

immediately i knew this was the one with the running bird theme on the otori side of the family and the fierce / brave / wild theme on the tategami side

and so i gave her my hero academia hawks' eyeliner on the inner corners of her eyes (you can't see the other one cause it's covered by her bangs)

i still haven't decided what bey she'll have. was thinking between aquila, leone, and columba, or possibly even a tiger bey if there's a constellation for that, not too sure yet. i feel like she'll want to have a leone bey growing up, but once she becomes her own person, i might give her something different (i'm very specific about the beys i create for my ocs being based on the 88 constellations or mythological figures that were used in mfb LMAO)

i do want her to grow up and grow out of the phase of wanting to look exactly like her dad. she'll still have his chaotic and wild personality but i wanna give her a red theme (and possibly even a red bey) which is why the background is red (though it's giving very much strawberry / watermelon right now LMAO)

i was doing some quick research and there's no tiger or hawk constellation in the 88 official constellations, so i went down the mythological route and we have circled back to horuseus oh my god

i think for a character who loved her dad so much that she wanted to be exactly like him to grow up and own the same bey as the other man who was once in love with her mother (and also the one guy she loves just a little more than her own father) is WILD and MESSY and I'M SO HERE FOR IT it's decided she's going to be a horuseus user when she's older DONE

yes i'm giving this kid a regular mfb bey and not a synchrome one because i am NOT designing a shogun steel bey no way 🙅🏾‍♀️

but yeah ENTIRELY UNPLANNED BY THE WAY

i chose her name a few days ago i did NOT think we would circle back to horuseus as her bey but here we are omg

i always do this thing where i make choices for my ocs and then it ends up working out in the best way possible, like i remember deciding on cassiopeia for kiara way before i even decided what her fury arc was going to be like, and then when i got to drafting the fury plot BOOM it's a summer constellation bey and it worked out PERFECTLY for that

also the name yoko being a combination of attributes from both her parents and ALSO being the perfect name to make yoyo a nickname of????? i don't know how it happens it's almost miraculous

i want to give her a younger brother so bad except he'd be the complete opposite of her (a mama's boy probably). he'd look more like mother but with his father's eyes (and maybe wild hair) and be a lot more quiet and down to earth than his big sister but honestly i gotta stop making ocs and focus on the ones that already exist 😭😭😭

do expect another tategami fanchild soon though 😈
