Interview and monthly summaries.
Recent interview with Minori Suzuki (Liko's VA), translation here. (I haven't seen the link for the interview in Japanese so idk where this was published.)
Lots of interesting talk about how much Liko means to Minori Suzuki and how she feels like she is growing alongside her as a voice actress. Minori Suzuki mentions that she is very close to Roy's VA (Yuka Terasaki), and that they've been friends for many years (Liko's VA debuted as a voice actress in the Macross anime, and Roy's VA voiced a character in that show too). Seems like they grew really close with time (kind of gives me a deeper appreciation for Liko and Roy's friendship knowing that their VAs also get along outside of work).
Liko's VA mentions that the current staff has both older and younger people so they learn a lot from each other. She specifically mentions Ohtani Ikue and Megumi Hayashibara (who have been voicing in Pokemon from the beginning). Ohtani Ikue mostly voices Pokemon, like Pikachu, and had a few human characters roles, her major one being Sango (very important). Megumi Hayashibara voiced Musashi and plenty of other Pokemon. She voices Nyarote in Horizons.
Liko's VA talks about how intense the dubbing session for HZ056 was, as she put her everything into it. She mentions that we got to see new sides of Liko in that episode (such as her refusal to give in, etc). Nice insight from her VA on that specific episode.

Monthly summaries and staff lists for the current month. Contains spoilers for the month of August 2024.
Anyway, just putting this out there before the episodes in question are broadcasted. I am mostly paying attention to who writes what.
HZ061 and HZ062 will both be written by the same person, Michihiro Tsuchiya (see here and here). No summary for HZ062 for now (which is totally when Hogator will evolve, and that's probably why the summary is "hidden" for now). Michihiro Tsuchiya wrote the episode in which Mibrim evolved (HZ053), and he is seemingly the one who will do the same for Hogator. He also wrote Roy's basics test with Colza (HZ048), and he is the one taking care of his implementation test too. Dot also had the same writer for her basics and implementation tests episodes.
I am hoping HZ062 will have the same kind of writing as HZ040 tbh (Nyahoja's backstory episode, which is so far my favorite ep written by Michihiro Tsuchiya), aka capitalizing on everything that happened in the show up until now to make Hogator's evolution feel special. (HZ040 was really good to me because of how it utilized every aspect of Liko and Nyahoja's bond, drew parallels between the characters and their tendancies to hold back, made callbacks to scenes in the first episodes and shed a new light on them and changed our interpretations of them etc.) Anyway, I'll wait and see. This is the first time Michihiro Tsuchiya writes two episodes in a row, I think.
As for HZ063, link is here. Naohiro Fukushima writing Liko's implementation test felt a bit unexpected to me since he usually writes Dot-centric episodes. Also, Liko's basic test wasn't written by him (HZ047 was written by Kureha Matsuzawa).
I'm a bit curious about the summary mentioning that Liko will be told about Grusha's past. Part of me is thinking about how Grusha is specialized in Ice types so that means Liko is facing someone who has the same type as Sango's main partner (and how it might help her get closer to Sango somehow, just like how Roy facing Dragon types when he battled Hassaku made him think about Rayquaza). And how she'll get to learn about Grusha's past and Grusha seems cold on the outside, but has a passionate side within. Which could be similar to Amethio? Anyway, this is just me relating this to the Explorers characters I feel Liko is closest to. I think these kinds of meetings could eventually help her, if the narrative intent is to get her closer to some of the characters in the Explorers and maybe learning about their pasts too. Who knows!
Anyway, I also really like that Liko's tests involve her facing Pokemon her main partner is weak to (Bug and Ice), because it means they are specifically pushing her and challenging her that way. The fact that Grusha is the strongest Gym Leader too. Though I'm mostly curious about the emotional aspect of this confrontation. It's interesting that Liko is facing someone described as cold and harsh (that mention of her and Nyarote melting his icy heart with their fiery bond too).

We finally have translations for latest summaries of August and early September episodes! Check out below, translations courtesy of Dephender.
August 16th: NS033 - Who Wants to Trade Pokémon?
Satoshi and Go are visiting a "Pokémon Trade Event" being held at the Pokémon Center in Kuchiba City, where a they meet a Trainer named Koromi, who introduces herself as "the Bug Pokéqueen of Sinnoh". Koromi really wants a Kailios, but since Go doesn't want to give his own Kailios up, he decides to help her search for a wild one instead. Koromi attempts to lure out a Kailios using a specially made type of "Sweet Honey", but rather than a Kailios appearing, it's a...?! (Masashi Hioki)
So there’s bit of Sinnoh involved in this episode, I kinda like how they’re mixing regions together! Makes the whole multi-region aspect feel more real! And I’m glad Gou isn’t keen on trading his own Kailios ;V;
August 23rd: NS034 - Saito, the Lone Warrior! The Otosupus Menace!!
Satoshi and Go are visiting the Fighting Dojo in Yamabuki City to find a new opponent for the Pokémon World Championships. Satoshi attempts to challenge the Karate Master who runs the dojo, but he turns out to currently be in the middle of a battle against another challenger. And when they go to watch this battle, they end up seeing the Karate Master lose! The challengers in question were the Fighting type Gym Leader from the Galar region, Saito, and her partner Pokémon Otosupus, and Satoshi challenges her to a battle. (Izumi Shimura)
Saito as in Bea! It’s the golden trio staff, and one of my fav gen 8 ‘mon debuts! I am SO glad Saito gets to debut alongside Grapploct! That’s Otosupus btw :)
August 30th: PM2019 035 - I Got Pikachu!!
As Go watches Satoshi and Pikachu, he suddenly realizes he wants to get a Pikachu of his own! Sakuragi, the head of the Sakuragi Laboratories, tells him that there's an outbreak of Pikachu at a certain location, so he decides to immediately head there. When he arrives, he meets lots of Pikachu, including a very obliging female one. The Pikachu are trying to dig "Thunderstones" out of the rock face and use their power to evolve into Raichu... and then Satoshi's Pikachu starts to emit the light of evolution as well...?! (Masaya Onishi)
Do not get fooled by the light of evolution on Satoshi’s Pikachu he’s not gonna evolve ever! It could be that Pikachu accidentally touches the stone, but remember, the show does have logic for the b button! Everyone remember Hikari/Dawn’s Pochama/Piplup? They could easily do a similar trick on Pikachu, him refusing to evolve and being able to deny it. I’ll look forward to seeing what they do. As long as they don’t replace Electroweb no one replace the best move I swear-
September 6th: NS036 - Crawl Out of the Sand Tomb, Satoshi and Go!
Ever since his battle against Saito, Satoshi has been performing poorly in official battles. Meanwhile, a strange, massive sandstorm has started blowing in Kinsetsu City in the Houen Region. This sandstorm supposedly lures people inside it with a beautiful song. Satoshi and Go head there to investigate and find out if this is the work of a yet to be discovered Pokémon, and as they go up against the mystery of the sandstorm, they eventually end up battling the powerful Pokémon Flygon. But as the Flygon uses its speed to toy with Satoshi, Go tries a surprising tactic. (Yuki Masutani)
This kinda spoils the outcome on NS034, no? Satoshi is gonna lose to Saito it seems and will be on losing streak after it. Which I’ve been having in Sonic Forces Speed Battle, cough. This should be good for Satoshi and Gou’s friendship bond as well as Gou hasn’t seen Satoshi act not like himself before. Also, Flygon Flygon Satoshi better catch a Flygon-. KRHM. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Just glad we’re seeing Mauville City/Kinsetsu City again!

Takara Tomy and syn Sophia's co-produced mixed-media franchise "Pretty Series" was launched with its first arcade game Pretty Rhythm: Mini Skirt in July 2010. Meanwhile, Tatsunoko Production has produced the TV anime series inspired by the franchise since 2011. As the fourth installment of the "Pretty Series," the TV anime PriPara started airing in Japan in July 2014, then it soon gained the status of a nationally popular anime on a par with the PreCure and the Aikatsu! series. The original PriPara TV anime aired for 140 episodes to March 2017, then its direct sequel Idol Time PriPara followed with 51 episodes from April 2017 to March 2018.
Makoto Moriwaki, the director of the original two PriPara TV anime series, will return to the director's chair of the Idol Land PriPara web anime, alongside the series composition writer Michihiro Tsuchiya. Of course, Tatsunoko Production will work on anime production, while avex pictures will work on music production.

Summaries and Staff lists for October + early November episodes of Pokémon (2019)/Journeys
As the title says. Let’s get started, source is serebii.net forums, as always!
October 16th: JN041 - Operation: Dub Pikachu! / Half Numacraw
a)The Rocket Gang Nyarth is laid up with a cold. Musashi and Kojiro from the Rocket Gang, who have thus far been relying on his interpretations to understand what Satoshi's Pikachu talks about, decide to take the opportunity to train themselves so they can understand it on their own! To do this, they watch video footage of Pikachu that they've secretly recorded and dub over it...?! b) In a forest after a rainfall, Satoshi and Go encounter Numacraw that are stuck in the ground! And while the duo is doing its best trying to do something to help them, a Runpappa appears before them?! (Koki Yanagihara)
What’s new is the staff list, which is why I’m including it!
October 23rd: JN042 - Sword & Shield I: Slumbering Weald
One night Satoshi spots the "Daimax Band" he got from Dande, the strongest Pokémon Trainer in the Galar region, suddenly starting to glow on its own. Meanwhile, the Galar region has been experiencing a phenomenon where Pokémon are Daimaxing in places where it's normally impossible for them to do so. To solve the Daimax mystery, Satoshi and Go decided to visit the Galar region and see Professor Magnolia, the leading authority on Daimax research, but on their way there the duo got separated while in a forest shrouded in thick mist, where they encountered some mysterious Pokémon. (Takashi Shinohara)
MAGNOLIA MAGNOLIA MAGNOLIA AAAAHHHH!! Also I, find it weird that the daimax band seems to be reacting in Kanto? It shouldn’t? Hmmmm.
For the next two episodes we only have title and staff list, no summaries. Possibly to avoid spoilers.
October 30th: JN043 - Sword & Shield II: Black Night
(Masashi Hioki)
November 6th: JN044 - Sword & Shield III: Mugendaina
(Yuki Masutani)
Intriquing to see that Yonemura is writing parts 1 and 3 but not 2. Hmm. Part 4 is still to be revealed, possibly will take til end of this month to learn more.
But there we go. Are you guys excited?
