i must resist the urge to wade into the waters of discourse so i'll be vague but must all discussions of lesbian identity on this website center around men

#speak friend and enter #lesbians and bisexuals have a beautiful shared history but we are not the same and to insinuate so is reductive to us all #i think this site has a real problem with individual exceptionalism and the urge to belong to an exclusive in-group #and that leads to the rejection of whatever community can be found within other broader groups #and i think that boils down into a kind of casual biphobia that views bisexuality as 'lgbt lite'#which isn't fair to bisexuals and their history as members of the queer community #so all these weird little micro labels get created that place this weird stigma on bisexuality and erode the definition of lesbianism #anyway. call yourself whatever the hell you want but please learn your history first #and be prepared to understand why members of the communities you're attempting to combine might bristle at that

labels are always personal and giving them strict definitions never ever works or holds up to the nuances of the human condition when you lay them out. so yeah, that does mean that when someone says they're X you're not going to get an accurate picture of what that means just from the word, no matter how educated you think you are on the meaning. funny how you actually have to get to know someone to know them rather than just being able to refer to a list of identifiers.

#copious amounts of micro-labels are being created to combat this #but you'll never ever be able to make enough #i used to think it was pretty to think maybe we could have enough actually #now i think it's super ugly #which isn't to say i think there's anything wrong with using them #it's just policing behavior over them that just doesn't work #and i think a lot of people would lose interest in them if they weren't able to police other people's behavior over them

( although un-seemingly so at the first sight ) it's funny to detect in these panels that Pietro can not only be a man of muscle but culture too. And how prominently it is visible in sphere of his pastime even if only used as a therapeutic distraction against boredom.

PS : He sure created some practicular life-sized statues that are mysteriously hidden in his quarters across the world and definitely would die of heart-attract if those people ever saw them.

writing inspo when the point of inspo is so intricately specific is weird because its like you want to write something like that but also Not like that because then that would just be writing That story. like los angeles by ling ma is so inspirational to me but "i live with my 100 ex boyfriends" is such a not universal experience so i just have this abstract inspo that's like i want to write something with the same energy as living with 100 ex boyfriends but also not the same energy because the energy of living with 100 ex boyfriends would just be a story about living with 100 ex boyfriends. take a shot every time i said

yesterday was a good day. i made it to Pride for the first time in a couple of years. i had a plan, wore my sunscreen, used my parasol relentlessly, and promised myself when i got tired, even if i was having the best time, i'd go home and rest. i did all that and while i'm not out of the woods yet (sun & heat induced/complicated PEM can strike days after an event, sadly) i feel decent. enough to make a doodle using some of the first stickers i ever bought for myself as an adult some years ago for the very first time! remember to drink your water and take your meds so you can be your most present you and keep creating.
