Bro, Squishmallows are complicated as fuck.

I'm trying to make a list of Squishmallows that I already have, and I'm trying to make it as comprehensive as possible, but it's quickly becoming complicated. There are a LOT of Squishmallow's (which I know sounds obvious at first, but it's simply baffling just how expansive the product line is), and it's more difficult to find help in collecting them than I had assumed.

First off, I'm trying to figure out the size range, and I keep getting mixed results. I keep seeing sources that say there are 12 sizes for Squishmallows (3.5, 5, 6, 7, 7.5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 24 inches), but according to the wiki for Gio and Shahzad, they come in 4.5", which is the size I have both of them in. Then I found one source saying that there wer a whopping TWENTY-ONE sizes, going all the way up to 28", yet all the other sources insist that the line stops at 24". And when it comes to the smaller Squishmallows, I see sources going "oh yeah, all the mini Squishmallows are 2 inches", but these exclude the Micromallows, which are 2.5 inches. In fact, when I search up minis, all that comes up is the Squishville lines. I had to dig to find the Micros (which sucked bc I forgot what they were called).

Secondly, there are far more lines and offshoots of these things than I initially realized. Like, you have the regular Squishmallows, (including the keychains even though I would assume they'd be considered a separate thing but the size charts consider them the same so idk), there's also Squishville, Micromallows, Fuzzamallows, Flipamallows, Squooshems (which I don't think are even plushies), Squishdoos, Stackables, and Squeezemallows (which I had trouble finding ANY info about and only ever saw ONCE at a single Target store), and also the Mystery Squad(s?) (which I don't know if they count as part of the regular line or not). That's not even including the trading cards, hats, shirts, slippers, ornament, baskets, costumes, accessories, pet beds, pet toys, and lord KNOWS what else.

Lastly, there are multiple versions of most of the Squishmallow characters. Whether it be different sizes, different product lines, seasonal versions, or whatever else the creators might choose to through out there, it feels like there's an infinite list of both characters and character iterations.

It hasn't taken me long to realize Squishmallow collecting is complicated, even to a casual fan such as myself. And I find it strange that despite its large fanbase of avid collectors, it isn't easy to find any sort of comprehensive and all-encompassing guide to 'Mallow hunting. Nevertheless, I'm a stubborn bastard who loves cute plushies, and by god I'm gonna give it my best shot.

5 inch Capri the Grapefruit gets a hexagon shelf of her own. Officially, Squishmallows says she's an orange. I overrule them, she's a red grapefruit :P Orin is the real orange Squishmallow end rant.

8 inch Tonya the Boar feels safest hiding in the greenery near our entryway.

Jayden the Beluga Whale Squishville lives up on Tiny Shelf with Azurill and other non-squish creatures.

~ I'm gonna stand up on my soapbox about blind box toys for a moment ~

I love the squishville and micromallow blind boxes (and other blind boxes truthfully) however they really made me realize a pet peeve I have with blind boxes and that pet peeve is the lack of checklists.

If you put out a blind box series of any sort there should really be a checklist included somewhere to not only keep track of what you're getting, but also to see what else is in the line. It doesn't have to be a little pamphlet inside, it could be a list on the outside.

Like the squishville series just have like six of the animals included on the label, but there's 24 creatures to collect in regards to the forth and fifth series. No full list on the packaging and no booklet list inside. I feel like for the ease of collecting - or even the encouragement of collecting (if there's specific ones you like more) - there should really be some sort of list :/

Back to uni the week after next. Can't believe it's been almost 12 weeks. I've been simplifying square roots to get back into Maths Mode and it turns out I still hate simplifying fucking square roots.

Anyway. I have to pass this next calculus class or I'm out. I've failed it twice due to freaking out over maths. Last time I had a panic attack and missed the exam. Time before I just went into such a spiral I had to drop out. Thing is, I know I'm capable of passing. I got good marks on my assignments. I just have a bad history with maths at school, it's always made me feel stupid. It was the one subject at GCSE where I had to put in hard work, I didn't just get it from vaguely listening during lessons, and I had very minimal support. I think the only reason I passed at all is due to my accountant cousin mentoring me for a few weeks, but it was too little too late for my confidence and I've never trusted myself to be able to work things out, so I panic, and my ADHD won't allow me to engage with the work because where's the dopamine, man? (In fact there's a shitload of dopamine to be had when I do figure stuff out and get it right, but I have no faith in that happening, so...)

Oh also I have discovered Squishmallows and become addicted to them. I bought the first one because I needed a small pillow to put under my dodgy knee in bed, and now I have four of them because these lil shits are like $10 each and I have no impulse control. Here's my little collection so far. These are all small ones (7inch? Idk inches mean nothing to me but that's how these dudes are measured I guess). I've got 6 micromallow blind boxes on the way too.
