“Fall” Did you know that I create mixed media work from my photography? Although this work is way off from the season we’re experiencing, or about to experience, it’s one of my favorite pieces and has been sitting in storage for a while. It was originally shot in 2012 or 2013 (the info is on the back and it’s 2am and not getting out of bed to look) and features @stjosephoratory, founded in 1873. I also do commission work, and can even incorporate text (favorite quotes, poems, etc.) to really personalize my images as a special gift. I keep meaning to dedicate a page on my website just for this work and haven’t figured out exactly how to do it yet. I have something fun coming up, especially for those on my email list, so if you’re not on it, you can register via my website (link in bio). Wishing everyone a happy Thursday! ~ Christina ••••••••••••• 📸🎨x Christina / @picturedetroit • • • • • #PictureDetroit #DequindreCut #StJosephOratory#Fel3000ft @Fel3000ft #OpportunityDetroit @HourDetroit #HourDetroit @BuildInstitute #CrainsDetroit #ThrowbackThursday#MidMichiganNow #DetroitUSA#PureDetroit313#RawDetroit#DocumentingDetroit#WXYZDetroit #MotorCity #DowntownDetroit #NothingStopsDetroit #DocumentingDetroit @puremichigan #MichiganPhotography #VisitDetroit @visitdetroit #PureMichigan #StreetDreamsMag #ActuallyDetroit #I❤️Detroit (at Dequindre Cut) https://www.instagram.com/p/CY8Yx7FLduC/?utm_medium=tumblr

Throughout the 2020 presidential election, the mainstream press has made a point of touting crossover support…at least, crossover support that exists in favor of Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.
“Republicans for Biden,” Never-Trumpers, and Trump-hating “conservatives” connected to the Lincoln Project get massive mainstream attention. The liberal press touts these outliers as evidence that shows supposedly-declining GOP support for President Trump.
Tumblr media
“President Trump Travels to Arizona” (Public Domain) by The White House
Not only does the 45th president continue to enjoy massive support and approval ratings from the GOP, but he also has the backing of some Democrats. Earlier this year, a group of Democrat Minnesota mayors endorsed President Trump.
Now, Townhall confirms that Maurice Davis, Michigan’s Flint City Council vice president and a Democrat, is backing President Trump.
What to Know About Democratic Support for President Trump
As a lifelong Democrat, Davis spoke in front of Vice President Mike Pence, explaining his reasoning for backing President Trump this election cycle. The Flint City Council member stated that despite his vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016, he believes the Democrat Party of today is now consumed with hatred.

Davis delivered his remarks and official endorsement of President Trump at the Flint Bishop Airport. This endorsement comes after his previous criticism of riots and looting being perpetrated by Black Lives Matter individuals.
The Flint City Council vice president furthermore noted the idiocy of individuals ripping apart their own communities; then, he called out the hypocrisy of the left despising President Trump, but not despising the $1,200 stimulus checks that came from the president earlier this year.
The Underlying Theme of Democrats for Trump
During multiple occasions, the president has invited Democrats who are disillusioned with the current state of their party to come join the GOP.
While the mainstream media remains silent about non-right-wing support for the president, it doesn’t erase this support. Ultimately, the underlying theme of Democratic support for Trump is rooted in the radical left turn the party has taken.
.@BarackObama has talked more about helping Blacks in the last 24 hours trying to save @JoeBiden the bigot, than he did his entire 8 years in office. Too late #BO, #Joe has been run over by @realDonaldTrump and the #TrumpTrain! @BlackVoices4DJT #BlackVoicesForTrump #FeelTheVern pic.twitter.com/mKshPKobzG
— Vernon Jones (@RepVernonJones) October 28, 2020
Many moderate leftists of today do not recognize the current Democrat Party. The attitudes and positions that Democrats of today have adopted are not “liberal” by any means. Therefore, some leftists are now jumping ship and hopping aboard the Trump train.
What do you think about more Democrats endorsing President Trump? Which candidate do you believe retains the strongest crossover support: Trump or Biden? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below.

Police Officers Take a Knee in Solidarity With Protesters Amid George Floyd Unrest
Some police officers across the country are standing in solidarity with protesters against police brutality amid the death of George Floyd.
Officers in Iowa, Kentucky, New York, and Oregon all took a knee while overseeing demonstrations over the weekend — replicating the silent protest of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

On Sunday, New York Police Department (NYPD) police officers in Queens along with others in Spokane, Wash., and Miami, Flo., also followed suit. Aleeia Abraham, leader of The BlaQue Resource Network, shared the now-viral footage of the NYPD officers’ demonstration in Queens.
During an interview with CNN, she shared a reaction similar to that which can be heard in the video. The audience expressed shock upon seeing the officers kneel.
“I definitely didn’t expect that,” Abraham said. “I’ve never seen that.”

In Michigan, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson’s exchange with protesters also went viral. Swanson approached protesters outside of the Flint Township police station and asked what they would like law enforcement to do.
“We want to be with y’all, for real,” Swanson said of himself and the officers standing behind him. “I took my helmet off, they laid their batons down. I want to make this a parade, not a protest.”
As the crowd of protesters chanted “walk with us,” the footage captures Swanson and the officers joining forces with demonstrators as they began walking together.

Despite the violent protests that have taken place in cities across the United States, the videos that show officers acknowledging the ongoing problem reveal glimmers of hope for the country’s future.
Abraham also noted that while the action is a step in the right direction, protesters are advocating for long-term change and real accountability in law enforcement.
“That’s great, it’s a good sign, but what we’re really looking for is action,” she said. “I’ll be even more impressed when we’re not stepped on and gunned down. That’s the moment I’m looking for.”
Three of the four officers involved in George Floyd’s death while in police custody have not been arrested or charged.
According to Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, the officers’ silence and failure to intervene signals complicity.
Protesters have expressed concern about the officers being held accountable for their involvement while urging other officers to stand on the side of justice.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) declared a state of emergency for Midland County on Tuesday night after two dams failed, flooding areas along the Tittabawassee River. The National Weather Service warned anyone near the engorged river to seek higher ground after "catastrophic dam failures" at the Edenville and Sanford dams, about 140 miles north of Detroit. Michigan officials said about 10,000 residents are being evacuated in Midland, Edenville, and Sanford. Midland, a town of 42,000, has a major Dow Chemical plant on the city's riverbank."In the next 12 to 15 hours, downtown Midland could be under approximately nine feet of water," Whitmer warned in a press briefing late Tuesday. "If you have not evacuated the area, do so now and get somewhere safe," she added in a statement. "This is unlike anything we've seen in Midland County. If you have a family member or loved one who lives in another part of the state, go there now. If you don't, go to one of the shelters that have opened across the county."> Dramatic video from the air shows the Edenville, Michigan dam breach. You can see the water pouring out of Wixom Lake. “Greektown Under Snow” One of my favorite shots for a while now (actually most of my Greektown at night shots fall into that category), I gave away a signed canvas print of this last year in a drawing to celebrate my new website a couple of years ago. I was going to have another for Valentine’s Day, but decided to have some fun with it and do it for St. Paddy’s Day instead. I haven’t decided which print to giveaway, or maybe have a small selection that the winner can choose from… Wishing you all a Happy Thursday and a warm weekend! 🤍❄️☃️ 📸x Christina / @picturedetroit SHOT: March 5, 2016 • • • • • #PictureDetroit #FishBones #FiveGuys #Coldstone #Greektown #Santorini #SantoriniDetroit (Gone now) #OpportunityDetroit @HourDetroit #HourDetroit @BuildInstitute #CrainsDetroit #ThrowbackThursday#MidMichiganNow #TBT #DetroitUSA#PureDetroit313#RawDetroit#WXYZDetroit #MotorCity #DowntownDetroit #NothingStopsDetroit #DocumentingDetroit @puremichigan #MichiganPhotography #VisitDetroit #GreektownCasino @visitdetroit #PureMichigan #StreetDreamsMag #ActuallyDetroit #I❤️Detroit (at Fishbones Greektown Detroit) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZzOLXgr1UY/?utm_medium=tumblr
