After a very good start, I thought that Bradley Smith would end very high, then he crashed. I dreamed with Álex Rins on the podium, he had to crash. Miguel was going to finish in 5th place, Z*rc* had to overtake him. My expectations for this race were all crashed. However, it was my first wet race in MotoGP, my opinion is that it was very interesting.

welcome home - Miguel Oliveira
Tumblr media
Y/N x Miguel Oliveira
Theme: Fluff, Touching (not too explicit)
Miguel picks you up when you return home for the weekend x
word count: 830+
Studying in another city can be very tough for a relationship, especially when it’s a newly developed one. However, when you entered the train to start a new chapter in your life, you and Miguel promised each other to make this long-distance relationship work. You haven’t seen each other in 3 months now, but you’re able to spend the weekend with him. You’re currently sitting on the train, just arriving at the central station, telling him you’re finally back home. You were texting for the whole train ride, talking about what you want to do to make the most out of your short visit to his apartment.
Miguel told you that he is expecting you at the main parking lot right in front of the main entrance when you’re just leaving the platform, walking straight towards the huge doors. The closer you get, the more nervous but excited you get about finally seeing him again. Luckily, you just carry a light backpack, since most of your stuff is either stored in your room or in his apartment. Walking through the door, you immediately spot Miguel standing right next to his motorcycle, wearing a white shirt, dark jeans, leather boots, and a black, slim-fitting biker jacket. with two helmets hanging from the handlebar.
With one last look at his phone, he raises his head and your eyes meet, both of you start to smile brightly. You walk towards him, but the excitement gets to you and you skip the last steps, jumping right into his arms. Miguel catches you easily, and you spin around, once then twice, the two of you giggling wildly. “I’m so happy.” You say softly, your arms wrapped around his neck and your legs around his waist. He steadies himself, his hands lovingly running along your back. “Welcome home.” He says and buries his face into your shoulder, the smooth sound of his voice and the faint smell of his cologne tingling in your nose send shivers down your spine.
Giggling, you cling on to him until he carefully puts you down, his hands still firmly at your waist, his thumbs sliding inside your shirt. “You look so good,” Miguel growls deeply, his eyes wandering all over your body. He licks his lips quickly when your gaze meets his once more. “You’re one to talk.” You smirk, running your hand along his arms, his shoulders to his chest, feeling his muscle tense underneath the fabric of his clothes. He leans into you, kissing you passionately, his tongue exploring every corner of your mouth, leaving his sweet taste everywhere. Embracing his lips on yours, you steady yourself against his chest, feeling every deep breath he takes. “I missed you so much.” He says as you slowly separate from him, your hands now running along his waistline until they meet again behind his back.
“I missed you too.” You whisper quietly and hug him tightly. Miguel places a kiss on your forehead and strokes your back gently, his hand running along your spine, through your hair to your neck, which he fondles lovingly. Then, you notice his good-looking bike and take a step closer towards it. “I missed her as well.” You smirk, carefully feeling the cold metal with your fingertips, tracing its outlines down to the leather seat. Miguel gets behind you, one of his hands around your waist as he leans in once more, whispering into your ear. “She missed you too.” Again, the sound of his voice and his warm breath on your skin giving you goosebumps.
Leaning against his chest, you want to get on to the bike, but he stops you by holding you close to him. “Wait, I’ve got something for you,” Miguel growls once again, searching for something inside his pocket. Curiously, you watch him struggling to get a little black box out of his jacket, with him groaning quietly underneath his breath. Then, he gets it out, fondles the box in his hands before handing it to you. “A little gift.” Smiling shyly, you take it and look at him, blushing slightly. “Miguel, what’s this?” You say weakly, open the box, and see a little picture of you inside his arms, with a rosegold frame around it, both of your names imprinted at either side.
Gasping, you caress it lovingly, remembering that this is the first picture you took when you got together months ago after leaving the movie theater. “Aw, it looks so good.” You say breathlessly, watching Miguel blushing even harder. “I wanted to give you something to look at when we’re apart.” He says, his voice breaking slightly and the tip of his hands stored in his jeans. “This is the best gift ever.” You say comfortingly, place a hand at his jawline and lean in for another soft and loving kiss. “I’m glad you like it.” He says, his whole body relaxing slowly. You hug him again before you head home, spending the rest of the day together.

Franceso Bagnaia reigns supreme as Mir takes his first podium
Sky Racing Team VR46 rider Franceso Bagnaia was simply unstoppable in the Moto2™ race at the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France, converting pole position into a commanding victory to take his third win of 2018 – the first winner from pole in Moto2™ at the venue. Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) was the Italian’s closest challenger in second, with teammate 2017 Moto3™ World Champion Joan Mir securing his maiden intermediate class podium, crossing the line third.
There was drama before the race began for the man who qualified second, with Xavi Vierge (Dynavolt Intact GP) having to start from the back of the grid a mechanical problem before the Spaniard went out.
As the lights went out, Bagnaia made the perfect launch from pole and took the holeshot, with Marquez moving straight into P2. Third on the grid and World Championship contender Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP40) didn’t get the start he would have wanted, and when pushing to make up positions on lap seven, the Italian crashed at Turn 2 – rider ok. Back at the front, Bagnaia and Marquez pushed to create a gap back to Marcel Schroetter (Dynavolt Intact GP) and Mir, with Bagnaia then able to pull away for a comfortable win. Marquez kept it calm to take second and twenty points towards the Championship, with Mir able to turn his incredible pace this weekend into his first ever podium in the class – in only his fifth race.
Schroetter would finish the race fourth, his best ever Moto2™ result after a weekend of top pace and despite still recovering from injury. Meanwhile, teammate Vierge was a man on a charge, he caught and passed Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) by lap 14, and then reeled in rookie Romano Fenati (Marinelli Snipers Team) to get up into fifth. The Spaniard held off a late charge from Oliveira to finish a phenomenal P5.
Rookie Fenati was a season best seventh as his adaptation to the class continued, with Fabio Quartararo (MB Conveyors – Speed Up Racing) giving the French fans something to cheer about in P8 – his best result of the year so far. The Frenchman was locked in a battle with Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in the latter stages of the race, and the South African took P9.
Stefano Manzi (Forward Racing Team) produced a stunning ride to round out the top ten, coming from 23rd on the grid, with the key name missing from that fight at the front proving to be Championship protagonist Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team), who crashed and leaves a GP with no points for the first time this year.
Joe Roberts (NTS RW Racing GP), after passing Sam Lowes (Swiss Innovative Investors) for P14, crashed from a first point scoring finish, with Isaac Viñales (SAG Team), Iker Lecuona (Swiss Innovative Investors), Eric Granado (Forward Racing Team) and Jorge Navarro (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) some of the other crashers, riders ok.
Despite Marquez’ best efforts, closing the gap to less than a second with four laps to go, there was no stopping Bagnaia. He heads to the Tuscan hills leading the World Championship by a healthy 25 points. The Italian has made a blistering start to 2018, can anyone stop him on home soil next time out?

Marcel Schrotter shines on opening day at Le Mans
Despite suffering from shoulder ligament damage, Marcel Schrtter (Dynavolt Intact GP) topped the Moto2™ combined Free Practice timesheets on Friday at the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France. The German was 0.081 seconds ahead of World Championship leader Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46), who was second overall despite a big crash in FP1, with Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) third overall and just 0.093 behind Schrӧtter’s fastest time. The Spaniard was also a faller, crashing at the final corner late in FP2 – rider ok.
Despite conditions seemingly more suited to setting quicker lap times this afternoon, both Schrӧtter and Marquez failed to improve on their FP1 times, with Bagnaia going over half a second quicker in FP2 to top the session. Just behind his teammate in fourth on the combined times was rookie sensation and reigning Moto3™ World Champion Joan Mir (EG 0,0 Marc VDS), who finished FP2 in second.
Despite finishing P19 in FP2 and crashing twice in the session, Jorge Navarro (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) was fifth overall on Friday – his FP1 time an indication he could fight it out for a front row start in qualifying. Tasca Racing Scuderia Moto2’s Simone Corsi put in a strong showing in FP2, climbing up to sixth overall after finding himself P17 after FP1. Argentina race winner Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) crashed at Turn 8 mid way through the second Free Practice session, however he still managed to improve on his FP1 time by over 0.6 seconds to end the day seventh fastest – rider ok.
Another faller in FP2 was Championship contender Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo). The Portuguese rider was ok, improving one position up to eighth in FP2 from this morning. Rookie Romano Fenati (Marinelli Snipers Team) improved from P13 in FP1 to end the day P9, setting his quickest time right at the end.
Sam Lowes (Swiss Innovative Investors), who suffered a crash in the morning, rounded out the top ten on his KTM machine and was one of four riders in the top ten to not go quicker in the second session. Home favourite Fabio Quartararo (MB Conveyors – Speed Up Racing) was just outside the top ten after both sessions. The Frenchman improved by over 0.8 seconds in the afternoon, jumping up from P15 in FP1 to end the day P12.
Jerez winner Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP40) and teammate Hector Barbera both crashed in FP2, with the Italian finishing the day just outside the top ten in P11 – slipping five places from his FP1 position.
Tune in at 10:55 local time (GMT +2) when the intermediate class head back out on track for FP3.
