Hello there! I decided to make a moodboard for the MikaLight one-shot I'm working on. Since I'm already here, I decided to post it with the description and the first scene of the project, which you can read below. Enjoy!

Though Light is Kira, he and Mikami met under different circumstances, and their relationship quickly escalates into something romantic. But when the game gets too dangerous, Light decides to quit and tell Mikami about his plan - who is not pleased to know the truth.

The trembling began as he pressed his shirt to his naked body, entered the hotel bathroom and locked the door behind him. The hot water dripping down his face did not make the feeling disappear (he scrubbed off the possible imprints of Light's fingers from his body), and the rough towel he had wrapped himself also didn't help with it. He touched the pink bite mark on his collarbone and, like if on a command, he heard it again.

Get out. If there was a sharpness in the previous sentence, this one cut him like a blade. Now, ten minutes later, Mikami knew that it would've been better to head for the hotel room door. As he put on the crimson shirt that had crinkled under the weight of the two of them, he had long regretted not bringing more clothes into the bathroom.

You better leave now, Mikami. He could have known better, and then maybe he would've heard the impatient sharpness, the command, in his voice. But no, he crawled closer to him in the bed, clinging to him before Light finally shook his hands away.

What was he thinking? He and Light were hardly friends, talk partners who often got involved in lovemaking, hiding in various Tokyo hotel rooms. There was no excessive complexity to it, not if we count that they both tended to overthink certain problems like this. But was it Mikami's fault? Light was different today, quiet but especially fierce, like the August storm after sultry weather. Mikami leaned against the dark blue tiles, and the cold ran all over his body again, holding the towel awkwardly in front of him. 

Get out. His dignity didn't allow him to leave now. As he stepped out of the bathroom, he didn't even look at Light until he was fully dressed, but the smell had struck him long before. Alcohol. The bottle stood on the night table next to the double bed, no more than two glasses could be missing.

"Don't go away." The drink painted a sweet pink blush on Light's face, but his eyes remained empty and bright. He looks wounded, Mikami thought, and let himself be deceived again. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, he expected an apology, but Light didn't say a word. Outside of the infiltrating street lights, darkness settled over the room, and Light pulled closer with slow movements. He rested his palms on his knees, his shoulders rubbed against his, and Mikami closed his eyes as he waited to be kissed...the kiss never came. The next time Mikami looked at him, the street lights illuminated the uncried tears in his eyes, and Light pulled away from him.

"Tell me what you think about Kira, Mikami."
