Mikey Rotten - Scumfuckmalice

Mikey Rotten is an artist whose music has a very unapologetic and raw energy to it. He is inspired by some of the classic hardcore punk bands, including those DIY heroes who set the American scene on fire during the 80s - If you know what I mean, you are immediately going to picture Black Flag, Minor Threat, Suicidal Tendencies, and Dead Kennedys, and you’d definitely be right on the money! However, Mikey also managed to bring a more modern vibe to his sound, tipping the hat off to influential performers such as Korn and Modest Mouse, only to mention a few. His most recent release, Scumfuckmalice is a vicious sonic assault with a relentless feel and an even edgier approach to production. A self-described scumbag, Mikey Rotten is unafraid to tell it like it is, and his music speaks volume about his “no-fucks-given” attitude! This EP features 5 songs, and each is a powerful statement. From the breakneck pace of “Headstrong,” down to the strong, yet diverse arrangement of “Step Back,” anything goes and there are no rules holding Mikey back!
