Jours 183 à 188 : Ma dernière semaine de mission aka la « der des der ».

Dimanche 18 Février 2018 :

Aujourd’hui, c’est le jour tant attendu et préparé, j’ai nommé, le GAMESFEST !

Toute la journée, je me balade à droite à gauche sur le terrain pour vérifier que tout se passe bien, donner un coup de main quand il y a besoin, etc. Globalement tout se passe bien. Il fait beau. Les jeunes sont contents !

A 17h on range tout et je passe vite fait me doucher et me changer à l’appart avant de partir à l’aéroport pour récupérer Thibaut et Lucas qui arrivent à 18h40. On passe à l’appart pour qu’ils déposent leurs valises et quelques affaires (les manteaux et vêtements chauds pour la France), petite douche et on est repartis pour dîner à Sugbo Mercado, le food court sympa du quartier un peu chic de Cebu (IT Park).

Ils adorent et se régalent, entre autres avec le fameux pad thai, la bière locale, etc. On va ensuite boire un bon shake au joli restaurant dans l’arbre puis je les mets dans un taxi pour qu’ils rentrent à l’auberge de jeunesse de mon copain Miko (Hostel 7). Demain on se lève tôt et il est déjà tard.

Lundi 19 Février 2018 :

Aujourd’hui, j’ai pris ma journée pour passer du temps avec les garçons et leur faire découvrir la petite île d’Olango, au large de Cebu. Mais d’abord, il faut que je passe au bureau de l’immigration pour faire renouveler une dernière fois mon visa pour le mois qui reste. Je donne rendez-vous aux gars là bas, ils me rejoignent en taxi, easy. Pour ce dernier renouvellement, le visa est particulièrement cher ! C’est vraiment du racket étatique, je suis dégoûtée. Devoir payer si cher le pays dans lequel tu viens donner de ton temps et de ton énergie pour les gens… c’est vraiment pas juste. Mais pas le choix. Je ravale mes larmes et c’est parti pour une chouette journée de balade avec mon frérot. On prend le taxi, puis le bateau et nous voilà enfin sur Olango. Au programme : snorkeling depuis un petit bateau loué directement à un pêcheur sur place, puis resto (le poisson frais que je leur avais promis n’était pas dispo ce jour là… petite déception mais tant pis), buko et visite du sanctuaire des oiseaux migrateurs.

C’est déjà l’heure de rentrer et il faut se dépêcher pour ne pas rater le dernier bateau qui rentre à Cebu. On saute dans un tricycle. Retour à l’hostel en taxi bien fatigués, il a fait beau et chaud toute la journée. On se prend une petite douche puis je leur propose de dîner à Orange Karenderia, le resto de l’hostel de mon pote. Un bon petit resto qui fait de la cuisine philippine pas trop chère mais très bonne. J’en profite pour leur faire découvrir pas mal de spécialités qui selon moi valent le coup. Une belle journée qui se termine par une petite bière au bar de l’hostel pour les gars ; moi je dois rentrer me coucher parce que je bosse demain (et oui, ça sent les vacances mais il faut encore bosser un peu).

Mardi 20 Février 2018 :

Aujourd’hui les gars partent pour l’île de Camiguin (en avion). Moi, je vais bosser au bureau. Les derniers jours sont assez tranquilles. Olympe a eu la bonne idée de ne pas me charger trop de boulot pour que je puisse décrocher tranquillement, finir ce que j’ai à finir et partir sereine. Merci ! J’essaie de mettre de l’ordre dans tous les projets entrepris depuis le début et d’avancer au maximum pour laisser le moins de choses inachevées quand je pars. En plus, je fini de tout bien expliquer à Esther dans le handover pour la suite. Les clubs, le blog, la bibliothèque...

Mercredi 21 Février 2018 :

Ce matin je vois Olympe pour qu’on fasse un « bilan » de ma mission. Comme à Noël (quand on avait fait le bilan de mi-mission), elle me dit beaucoup de choses très positives et c’est super gratifiant. Ensuite, je vais avec Ate Tina acheter du poulet pour le prochain « Food Lovers Challenge » de ce samedi (auquel je n’assisterai pas). Je vais aussi au mall faire deux courses. (Osef?)

Jeudi 22 Février 2018 :

Aujourd’hui, c’est le grand jour : Esther va arriver. Mais d’abord, ce matin, je vais pour la dernière fois avec Ate Tina au marché de Carbon pour acheter les ingrédients de l’événement culinaire de samedi. Cette semaine c’est « cuisine française » et les jeunes ont décidé de faire un poulet basquaise (lol). On en profite pour passer à la grande poste de la ville, je poste mes cartes pour la France (oui, j’avais 6 mois pour le faire et je le fais au dernier moment, que voulez-vous!). Elle m’offre un super t-shirt comme cadeau d’au revoir et on se fait un petit resto toutes les deux. Super souvenir ! <3

Ensuite on rentre et je file à l’appart accueillir Esther qu’Olympe est allée chercher à l’aéroport. Je lui fais visiter le quartier, le centre 2, l’appart, le centre 1, etc. Je l’aide à se procurer un forfait philippin.. la base quoi. Le soir, on va manger à Sugbo Mercado avec Olympe, toutes les trois.

Vendredi 23 Février 2018 :

C’est officiellement mon dernier jour de mission ! Ça y est !

Je passe du temps avec Esther le matin pour la passation (je lui explique tout bien ce qu’elle doit faire, je lui fais visiter la bibliothèque, etc.). A midi, on a un « team lunch » avec l’équipe éducation pour marquer le coup de mon départ et de l’arrivée d’Esther et l’intégrer à l’équipe. Olympe nous invite.

Et ce soir c’est le moment tant attendu et tant redouté : ma despedida. La soirée où tout le monde me dit des petits messages touchants et pendant laquelle on pleure et on rit ensemble, une dernière fois. Les jeunes me font de jolis hommages, comme ils savent si bien le faire.
