Considering what’s happening to WB shows on different networks, on CW, on HBO Max. Both live action and animated, it reminds me again why Legend of Vox Machina is on Amazon Prime.

Amazon was the only streamer that would fund LOVM and allow Critical Role to keep their rights, so if things get pulled from the library, it reverts back to the parent studio.

As we saw from Infinity Train retaining rights is the important part of the equation. If the creators don’t own their work, it would just disappear. Legally, even the creators won’t even have a copy of their show.

It’s not that Amazon is a better streamer, it’s that they know how to lure creatives who want to keep the rights. Not even Netflix offered the same kind of flexibility. It’s insidious.

I feel like Electric Entertainment (Leverage, Leverage Redemption, The Librarians, Almost Paradise) has the same deal with Amazon.

Unfortunately, Electric Entertainment and Critical Role has to play the game in order to stay in the game.

Now that Zaslav’s Discovery Warner Bros burned show creators badly I can see two streamers jump on the disgruntled show creatives. AppleTV+ and Amazon, Amazon will sweeten the deal by offering to let show creators keep their rights.

AppleTV+ will bolster their slate and will finally achieve their dream of becoming the new HBO.

Galvantula and Elektross definitely. I've had a Galvantula in the past, and I would happily have an Elektross right now if I didn't have my hands full...

This alternate universe me probably would've gotten a Toxel instead of a Ponyta back then too... not that I got Windy- she kind of came to me by surprise, but. Nevermind, alternate universe shenanigans.

Joleteon is a great 'mon, and Raichu... I'm the rodent guy. I've gotta have at least one rodent Pokemon with me at all times. You know how it is.
