Milkstar is leader of a clan (I haven't decided the name yet) and Nicki is his kittypet husband who he goes to visit at a cabin. Milkstar doesn't bother trying to keep this secret and he believes it's causing no harm. They're both just old cats in love.

fun fact about this AU fic, there are NO original characters in it! :-) all the named characters are canon warrior cats characters! (some have name changes though, to fit their current role)

Duskwater, Birdsong, Tanglepaw, and Troutpaw are the elders Duskwater, Birdsong, Tanglewhisker, and Troutclaw from Crookedstar's promise

Voleflight, Cloudpaw and Echosnout are leader Volestar and medicine cats Cloudberry and Echosnout from Goosefeather's curse

Milkfur, Eeltail, Splashfoot, Spiketail, and Rainfall are all RiverClan warriors from Mapleshade's Vengeance

The RiverClan elders Icewhisker, Sloefur, and Blackbee are a bit more obscure. Icewhisker and Sloefur are medicine cat and deputy of riverclan respectively in Cloudstar's Journey, and Blackbee is from code of the clans. Blackbee still being alive is a stretch at best, but I like her name a lot, and the chronology of her story from Cotc isn't set in stone, so I figure she's just aaaancient, and was a veeery young warrior in that story.

Petalkit also mentions Snakestar and Marshpaw while telling Perchpaw a story. Snakestar is Snaketail, the deputy of Shadowclan in Cloudstar's Journey, and Marshpaw is mentioned by Shadowclan elders in a gathering at the start of MV, saying that he was bitten by an adder on his first patrol. Petalkit spins this into a story where he trespasses on ShC territory and Snakestar eats him.

And it'll be mentioned in upcoming chapters, but the leader of WindClan is Milkstar, who is Milkfur, the WC deputy in Cloudstar's journey. Fun fact! There are THREE Milkfurs who all lived very close together! Milkfur from RC has a daughter, Milkfur II, who is the RiverClan medicine cat in Yellowfang's Secret.

and of course, most of the others (Reedshine, Appledusk, etc) were major characters in MV so there's no question of where they came from haha :-)

I used to have a Clan-- and I'm planning on restarting it, since I'm on a new laptop and lost my files --called HopeClan tha was made up of mostly kits and apprentices, and was led by a fourteen moon old cat named Brindlestar. HopeClan was so tight knit. I'd come up with the idea that the Clan was renamed to HopeClan after Brindlestar took control because they needed to have hope and they lived in a hidden little area away from any other Clan because the reason all their adults were gone was a massacre by another Clan.

Milkstripe was the deputy and was closer to two years old-- in the canon she was one of the only ones who survived the final battle, but she couldn't get back to HopeClan until after Brindlestar had taken his lives. Milkstripe was the medicine cat (Amberstripe)'s older sister and the two were deeply close, as all of the founders were.

And then Brindlestar died, less than a year into the Clan. And Milkstripe became leader.

She named Ivyblotch, a recently named warrior, as her deputy. Brindlestar's death crushed the Clan-- they'd already been losing members, but to lose Brindlestar? To lose the one who claimed that they needed to have hope?

The Clan may have been growing, with the introduction of loners, but-- but the founders just kept dying. And there was nothing Milkstar could do to stop it.

And so she called Ivyblotch and Amberstripe, the only other founders left at that point, into her den. And she suggested disbanding the Clan.

The other two hated it. The other two hated the idea of it, but-- well. Milkstar was the leader.

I don't have the Clan anymore but I do want to start it over again someday because the drama that can happen from this setup is just always So Fun.

Milkstar is a tabby caramel she-cat with long fur. They are the leader of Tideclan and are 75 moons old. They have brown eyes, a stripe of cream fur down the middle of their back and are extremely stocky. They are subjective and stubborn and can most often be found chasing feathers.

As a terrible forest fire raged through the CricketClan, Milkstar, the leader at the time, urged their only healer Grassdapple to flee the territory with her only kit, and CricketClan’s only apprentice. Days later the fire still rages, and though Grassdapple has set out into the charred territory to find survivors, she comes back empty pawed. Now it is up to the three of them to restart a once proud, and noble Clan.
