It’s clear, no matter what he does, you’re always stuck in his mind. You’re buried deep inside his brain,

The man wakes up panting. His blurry vision slowly clears out as he tries to calm himself down. “F-Fuck!” He exclaims, looking around to see the walls of his bedroom.

The scene plays out clearly in his mind, the dream so vivid and he finds himself distracted.

You barely whisper, caressing his cheeks as you lean closer to him, Jungkook feels his heart rate quicken, your scent already taking over his consciousness, “you’re so good to me.” You confess, looking into his eyes with your wild E/C ones,

His eyes settle on your mouth, he can feel himself foaming, “such a good boy…” he praise him, your tone is so sultry, he cannot bring himself to utter a single word.

“So much better than he ever was..” you lovingly stare at him, lusty haze clouds your eyes, Jungkook can’t even focus on your words.

“Good boys deserve a good kiss.” Your words send a shiver down his spine, and you kiss him, hard.

And he doesn’t hesitate to kiss you back with the same passion.

He’s embarrassing. “Fuck I’m such a whore.” He mumbles to himself, but the guy can’t stop smiling, last night was so good.

You were so close to him, protected in his arms as he held you so gently, Jungkook could live last night forever again.

But you were so broken too, crying so softly, it wasn’t easy for him to see you like that, you hardly ever opened up to him.

“You deserve the world YN…” Jungkook sighs and gets up from his bed, he stretches his shoulders, yet the ache between his legs doesn’t really let him move too much.

He ignores it and picks up his phone.

Today was Monday, you were at work, and he needed to get ready for work too, Jungkook opened your number and bit his lip.

His fingers type and he smiles like a fool.

me: cool, near your work place right?

and with a huge smile on his face, he puts the phone down.

“This shower is definitely going to be so long.” He sighs again, excitement flowing through his veins.

He was truly in love for the first time.

You wait for Jungkook to come, the place smells like heaven to you, fresh smell of coffee brewing, God you could stay here forever.

Today was exhausting at work but when was it not? Your boss was a pain in the ass, you hated rich narcissistic people.

But, thank you to the person that invented coffee.

“Hello ma’am, ready to order?”

You look up and give the waiter a small smile, “in a few minu- hey babe.”

Jungkook’s voice almost startled you, there he stood in all his glory, a t shirt and tight jeans with a rough leather jacket on his body.

He looked good but he was late.

“You’re late, Jeon.” You roll your eyes as he sits down right in front of you, a cheeky smile on his lips, he was awful.

But it was Jungkook.

“sorry, work was awful.” You couldn’t disagree with him on that. “True…. So, I’m gonna order.” You turn your attention to the waiter.

“Sorry for the wait…. But I’ll just take this one, please?” You point on the menu, “thank you.” You thank the man and jungkook follows your lead.

As the waiter leaves, Jungkook speaks up. “You’re gonna pay for my coffee right?” He jokes, you smile.

“Of course my invitation so my treat.” You both giggle and your eyes wander around the cafe.

Your smile dies as soon as a familiar face comes into your view.

“What’s wrong, YN?”

Jungkook stares at you with worry, “YN?”

“K-Kyung soo’s here.” That’s all you can say but Jungkook gets the hint immediately, “so?” He questions, his jaw clenching as he notices your tense demeanour, “he’s coming towards us.”

“Fun!” He mumbles. “Don’t worry I got you.” He grabs your hand and squeezes it.

You close your eyes and try to calm down.

“YN?!”

That voice, you can’t forget it, you open your eyes to see that familiar face once again in a long time. “Hey Kyung soo!?” You force a smile out, unknowingly giving Jungkook’s hand a firm squeeze back.

You feel so nervous and anxious.

“Nice seeing you here! You still get coffee from here huh? You look good, YN.”

Your ex boyfriend points out and you feel your cheeks heat up.

You’re not sure why.

“U-Uh y’know I like specific places.” You reply, not noticing Jungkook who’s almost glaring at your ex.

“Of course, umm, who’s this?”

Kyung soo noticed however, and asks you, “o-oh yes! This is Jungkook..” you introduce your housemate awkwardly to your ex boyfriend.

“Oh- her boyfriend.” Your eyes widen and you look at Jungkook with absolute shock.

“O-Oh.”

“Yeah, nice to meet you, who are you?”

“Her ex, u-uh nevermind, YN it was nice to see you, hope you’re happy.” The other man hurries away, you stay frozen at your place.

“WHAT WAS THAT, JUNGKOOK?”

“I said I got you.” He winks, a wicked smile on his face and he shrugs.

Being your fake boyfriend was only step one into becoming your real boyfriend.

“Oh look, our orders are here!”

And Jungkook was a determined man.

Jungkook looked at you, his eyes carefully watched you as you came out of your room, you looked up to see him, there he was, sitting against the kitchen counter with a bottle of soju in his hands.

“Thanks for confirming. Yes I am.” You replied, looking for your red heels. You had put them right outside your room at the halls walls.

“I think your heels are there.” Jungkook pointed to the opposite side of the wall and you hmm, muttering a ‘thank you’ as you pick them up and wear them.

“Goodness I think I’m kinda late already.” You huff in disappointment. Jungkook chuckles at that making you stop what you’re doing and you roll your eyes at him.

“It’s not funny, jeon.” Jungkook shrugs. “I didn’t say it was, but it’s just such a you thing, yn.” He’s got that playful smile on his lips, “you’re always late.” He states it as a matter of fact.

Your housemate is so annoying.

“Haha okay.” You reply to him sarcastically. Jungkook winks at you.

“So is it a date?”

And very nosy too.

“Why do you care? But yes.” You pick up the purse and your coat, wearing in a hurry. “I don’t know, we’ll see how it goes though.”

Jungkook nods, his lips pursed together in a straight line. “When is it going to be my turn yn?”

That question makes you stop in your tracks.

You sigh, “jungkook.” You don’t know how to say it, he knows the answer but he always asks the same question again and again.

“You just broke up with your girlfriend.” You remind him, grabbing your keys. “And never” It’s hard for you to be so blunt about this, but you have to be honest.

He’s not your type.

“You’re not my type.”

You hear his tongue click and he gets up from the seat to walk up to you.

“Ouch. Too bad you are my type.” He confesses. “But it’s okay. I’ll just have to wait and convince you.” He rolls his arms across his chest.

“Have fun.” He winks again and stares at you in a weird way, almost like if he was heartbroken, you gaze back at him and it makes you feel like a bitch.

“Thanks jeon, you too.”

And you can’t afford to have your heart broken again.

You feel like it’s almost and truly hypocritical of you to go on a date whilst keep rejecting Jungkook.

And this is not fun either.

“Umm, I don’t really have anything fun to share about me.” You are not sure of what to say or how to make this conversation go forward.

It’s been so long since you’ve been on a date.

And this guy? You’re not too sure about what to feel about this. “It’s okay. I know it can be hard but, you do seem interesting to me,” He seems okay. But you are not too sure if you want this to go further.

And it’s not him that’s the problem.

You are.

“Also the food was quite good? No?” Your date, Hyun-Jae asks you, you smile despite your inner dilemma and nod. “Thank you, I really did enjoy this time with you.”

A lie.

You did not, actually this was a mistake, you had just wasted a nice guy’s time. Why did you even agree to this? You weren’t ready emotionally for dating again.

This was a bad decision and you feel so bad.

“So? It’s quite late now? Would you like for me to take you home?” You stand and the man follows. “Umm actually Hyun-Jae? You go ahead, I’ll manage.”

The smile of Hyun-Jae falters.

Damn, you really are a bitch

God, the guilt that’s weighing down on you has you feel suffocating, your past relationships have fucked you up so bad.

You give him a small smile and bow your head, the guy doesn’t speak a word and does the same, you pick up your stuff and pull out your wallet to get the cash out, you put it on the table and signal the waiter.

“I’m sorry.” That all you say before you leave the restaurant.

You don’t think you’re capable of dating someone anymore.

Jungkook feels so distracted.

For the last few hours, especially since you left. His mind has been fixated on the same thing.

And someone else had the privilege of seeing that so closely, probably. He munches on the popcorn harder, so much that he almost bites his tongue.

The movie plays yet it fails to interest him, your thoughts are enough to keep him occupied, he doesn’t understand this infatuation that he has with you, his roommate or housemate.

Jungkook’s eyes are fixed on the large screen but the frustration doesn’t die down.

Meaningless sex is actually worthless to him now, it doesn’t help him get over this huge crush that he has on you.

And his methods of ‘getting over you’ aren’t the most moralistic, they don’t help his case either.

No matter how much clear Jungkook makes his interest in you, you keep on rejecting him.

Maybe this is what he deserves for being a fuck boy.

A chance at love gone.

Before Jungkook can sulk into the couch even more, the door opens, his ears perk up at the sound of your keys juggling and he tilts his head, muting the film.

“Welcome back, yn.” He stands up as you come in, putting the bowl of popcorn down, you greet him back, shutting the door behind you.

“Hey jeon.” You look at your roommate and see a silly smile on his face. “Bad date I’m guessing?” He grabs your coat and purse as you sit down on the couch.

Your feet hurt a lot.

“Bad me.” You sigh sadly. Jungkook sits down beside you, looking at you with his brown eyes filled with curiosity.

“What do you mean?” He asks you and you close your eyes.

He’s going to think you’re so stupid.

“Yeah no I just… in the middle of the dinner with such a nice guy I realised my relationship issues. I can’t be a good partner.”

He doesn’t reply, Jungkook knows you well. His feelings pushed aside, Jungkook knows you have a lot going on.

“Jungkook I feel so bad…” you don’t look at him but he can tell you’ve got tears in your eyes. It makes his heart clench.

“Yn..” he calls out your name, moving closer to you to hold you tight. “It’s okay.” He pulls you into his embrace and you don’t resist, letting him take you into his arms.

Jungkook holds you so close to his heart.

It feels so good to him, that is a foreign feeling for him.

“It happens, you’ve been through so much. I’m sorry.” He apologises to you, “you’re perfect though, y’know?” His hands caress your shoulders.

“Even though I used to be such a fuckboy? I too used to have a ton of bad dates.” He laughs, you laugh too, it makes him happy.

“You’re still a fuckboy, koo.” You reply, and he tells you to shut up.

“That’s not the point yn. But if you feel so sad, let’s have some ice cream together and watch a movie and you can vent all you want.”

“I’ll always listen to you, your dear fuckboy is here for you!”

It only makes you laugh harder. And he can’t stop smiling like a fool hearing you laugh so beautifully.

When Hoseok turns back, his eyes find the tears already brimming in yours.

“Oh, my love.”

There’s the click of his suitcase as he lowers the handle and then you’re pulled into his chest, tight-tight. Your nose skims the clean line of his collarbone, your lips kiss the loose collar of his shirt, slung low. You inhale cedar and citrus, trying to take in enough to last, but your breath catches, sticks somewhere behind your ribs.

This isn’t the first time you’ve done this; more like the tenth. Just another mushy long-distance goodbye at the airport. You’re usually better at them, able to smile through it and wait until the drive home to blink back your tears.

Today, for whatever reason, it’s hard. Too hard.

Hoseok cradles your face in his delicate hands, presses a kiss to forehead with an overdramatic smack. With a loving sigh, he pulls you back in, arms wrapped over your shoulders, chin tucked down on the crown of your head. His voice is sweet and warm and low; you can hear the heart-shape in it. “It’s not that long. Not forever.”

“It feels like it.” A flash of white-hot anger crumples your mouth. “God, I hate this.”

Another kiss, this one nuzzled into your hair. “Don’t torture yourself with it.”

“That’s rich coming from you,” you mumble against his throat, but the words come out too wet for the joke to land. Tears slip down your face, caught by the sweep of Hoseok’s thumbs as he cups your jaw again, kisses over the salt-streaks left behind. His mouth finds yours, presses soft to your lower lip until the tremor eases back out of it.

You don’t want to miss this, any of it. The heat of him, soaked into your skin.

His slender fingers go combing through your hair. “Remember what I told you? Let’s just… go with the flow. Geujeo heureuneun daero gabojago, bro.” He cracks a smile, achingly beautiful.

“You’re ridiculous,” you deadpan, and laughter erupts from his chest, a hummingbird-thrum against yours. The bright high sound of it sinks right to the very center of your heart.

“I’m serious! It’s just the future, baby. Nothin’ to be scared of.”

“I know, I know.” You reach up to scrub at your face with your sleeve, sniffing a little, suddenly embarrassed to be making a scene. A sad laugh bubbles out of you, like you’re exhausted by your own dramatics.

“I’ll be back soon enough,” Hoseok murmurs, nosing at the line of your jaw, his breath molten-hot on your skin. “And you’ll be in your new place then. And that means I can fuck you on every flat surface in it.”

A shiver rolls up your spine even as you shove playfully at his chest. “How can you possibly be horny at a time like this?”

He shrugs into you, body still buzzing with bitten-back giggles. “You say horny, I say madly in love.” His kiss knocks the breath out of you before you can use it to complain. Your hands clutch at his face, a precious thing, too good to lose. Taking it all in while you can.

More kisses, dropped anywhere he can reach, punctuate his words. “Love you.” Each cheek. “I’ll text you.” Your eyelids, flickering under the soft brush. “Call when I can.” Forehead, then lips one more time.

It’s all he can promise, you know that– tour is hard, time zones make it harder. Rinse and repeat.

“I want selcas, mister,” you pout, petulant, until his teeth scrape over your lip as if to nudge it back into your mouth. Come on, brave face.

“Anything for you.”

The first is delivered before you even make it back to the car: Hoseok posing cutely in the security line, mouth drawn up to sink a dimple into his cheek. You type out a surge of emojis, as many as you can manage before the screen blurs in front of you, obscured by a new hot rush of tears.

Sinking into the front seat, heaving out the exhale, you let the sadness pour in and fill up the empty space, bone-deep. Hands overlapping, pressed to your heart, you squeeze your eyes shut and make a wish.
