im showing my friend clanker the awesome six eggs and single ice key i found today

#happy easter clanker #for the past three days ive just been playing banjo kazooie for fun #ended originally with a time of 8:22:12 #but that changed when i wanted to try getting the stop n swop stuff for the first time on my copy of banjo #so the final time is 9:32:33 #i forgot how much i disliked rusty bucket bay. good lord that engine room and stinky bad water #every other level was fine. though i got so confused at first as to what jiggy i was missing in click clock woods #it was just the one on the branch at the very top of the tree. i wouldve never found it had i not looked it up #notes and honeycombs though? did those purely from memory #jiggies too i guess minus the single 1 out of 100 #which i think is better than what i was hoping to achieve playing without a guide #i didnt get all mumbo tokens though. i DID get the ones you could easily lose if done wrong though.#i need 7 more mumbo tokens basically to reach 100%#i was also very tempted to 100% gruntys furnace fun (i.e. all squares) but. at a point i was like ''hm. no lets not''#maybe someday. just not then.#i managed to blind guess a lot of grunty questions though #only talked to her sister like. once. and i didnt get any of those questions on the quiz #oh yknow whats fucked up? that one shortcut between rusty bucket bay and mad monster mansions puzzle #you cant break the gate for it if you raise the water level too high #also it took me until today to learn that CheatO's cheats are upgrades and not... cheats #fucked up. but i didnt have too much problems without it. <- he died to grunty once only cause he got knocked off the tower #anyway sorry for the strange photo quality. played on my n64 on an old crt ive had. and i only have a lamp on in my room.#its not as dark as it looks in the image atleast #i also learned that banjo kazooie has way more cheats than i ever knew about #before collecting all the stop n swop stuff. i gave myself the infinite air underwater cheat cause. god.#its so nice to swim around with any anxiety. mostly just used it to swim with clanker for a bit. :).#didnt need it for any other reasons. i done collected everything else girlies #though kid me used a lot of cheat codes in tooie. only because i had a magazine that had all the codes #i 100%'d that one a few years ago i think. jiggies atleast. i think.#anyway. :) clanker

This is the Buddy for today, April 16th. Looks like Godzilla (but not enough that it might leave me open to a copyright infringement lawsuit).

I've quite enjoy the more recent Godzilla movies - Shin Godzilla and Godzilla Minus One. I would say they were pretty good-zilla.

But, other than that, I'm not into monster movies, not even the Ishiro Honda ones. I guess I have my share of special effects destruction from superhero movies.

2023 year in review!

I actually had a pretty incredible year.

It’s weird, back in like 2021 I had been really stuck in my life and just kind of bored of doing the same things over and over and feeling like I fell into comfortable and was stuck in a rut, so I took an opportunity to live in LA for a year in 2022 which was mostly fine but the job sucked, and then came back to Colorado in 2023 and it’s like everything was all rainbows and sunshine. The grass really isn’t greener on the other side. So anyway here’s my recap.

Played lei out where we had a good time despite getting rained in.

January 21 went on our first date with my now boyfriend.

Ran a half marathon

Got to celebrate an actual valentines with my first boyfriend (although he wasn’t quite my bf yet)

Had an adorable galentines

Bought a horse, the very best pony and fulfilled an absolute life long dream and I still just can’t believe it.

Spent a weekend in dc with Anthony and got to do all the muesuem and eat purple food

Hosted a whimsical brunch just because

Had my golden birthday and turned 30 and was so purple

Played frisbee master nationals with a womens team after qualifying at regionals

Got a promotion to basically my ideal job. Am now a level 4 (out of five normal levels). Came with an 11% pay raise.

Went camping and hiked a terrifying fourteener

Helped return a sample of an asteroid to the earth.

Spent a girls day at the lake

Qualified to regionals for frisbee again. Finally.

Went to the hot air balloon festival in New Mexico and saw the eclipse and went camping

Realized the Nuvaring was not good for my emotional stability and came off of it (the one negative of the year)

Played fright flight frisbee tournament and got to be super hero Barbie

Spent nearly two with Japan with Anthony and had an absolutely marvelous time

Met his parents for thanksgiving dinner

Came home early enough for Christmas to make cookies with my mom after having to skip this last year.

Between a horse, a promotion, a boyfriend, great travel, great friends and an overall healthier for me and my family( no Covid for my birthday or dad breaking his hip before Christmas this year.) it’s been a pretty spectacular year.

#year recap #2023 in review #feels weird having such a great year when it was rough for so many people #but I will celebrate my wins when I get them #and it just was a shockingly good year #in addition to the highs the day to day was good to #minus the occasional hysterical crying courtesy of the Nuvaring #(and a little on not knowing how to deal with any level of disappointment within my relationship)#but otherwise fabulous #and look at my pony!#and I got promoted!#and spent time with friends!#and did well with sports!

Actually the crumbs of Armand in this book have given me the strength I'll need to finish this shit show tomorrow

#twist rambles #vc posting #minus the Lestat killing a womans dad then telling her he did so and then smelling shes on her period and being like FUCK id like to slurp #that pad barely anything has happened. which was the highlight. and the armand appearances. as always. but my god im like 40 percent in and #it has been so insufferable the entire time tbh. all the highs from body thief are gone bc this is an exposition dump book #i did go back 2 read a couple pages from kh.aymans chapters in QOTD and that was so refreshing bc i miss him so mad #i miss actually enjoying the characters tbh like dora just feels like a repeat of Gretchen from last book+ roger was so boring and he did #not need a whole 30 pages of his in depth backstory. not joking abt this btw!! i think despite Armand being there next book im gonna be as #miserable given the content of TVA but we will persist. at least i have the crucifixion to look forward to

last night i had a dream that had something to do with reading a fic abt . well i wanna say "a haunted forest diner" but i've already written a haunted forest diner fic and it was not at all like that. anyway, it was this haunted forest diner fic in the sense that all its patrons were old forest gods of like decay and shit and in order to sneak in, you had to transform into like a deer, and apparently i was a supremely graceful jumper for a stag

but anyway i dreamt that that was a fic that i had apparently read and commented on months ago, but for w/e reason i had never read the replies to, and the author had replied that i seemed like a cool person n that they would have loved to have read some stuff i had written "but it seems you do not have any genshin works up..."

and honest to god all i could think upon reading that was literally "lol skill issue"

#and then i dreamt that i got one of those defeat the 8-12 hilichurl comms in genshin n i was like fine fine w/e #but after killing two i somehow figured out that they were not trying to kill me but instead trying to kidnap me to be their medic #and i was intrigued enough to be like 'okay' n sat down on this white blanket thing they had set aside for me #n one of my friends (don't remember who) was like 'yo you good?' n i was like 'yeah they just want me to be their medic'#n my friend looked at me suspiciously n was like 'well the comm isn't over you have six more to kill but if you need me i'll be over there'#n she pointed to where the trumpets i knew in high school (minus cody? i think?) were having sectionals under some trees #it was definitely trumpet sectionals but for whatever reason my brain decided to edit out cody So fucking True get redacted idiot #anyway so i just waited around in the warm sun untild a bunch of humanoid creatures started coming down the hill #i think they were supposed to be bosses or smth but none of them are in gnshn even tho we were def in mond or liyue by this point #and they all had different colored faces but anyway my friend was like 'THIS IS WHY WE HAVE TO DEFEAT ALL THE HILICHURLS!!!'#'BECAUSE IF WE DON'T THEN THEY'RE JUST BUYING TIME FOR *THESE GUYS* TO COME!!!!'#n i was like 'oh shit!!' n we started fighting them n they were really tanky but we got most of them except for the blue one #and so i went back to the haunted diner place n entered it as a human n went upstairs where i found the author in my dreams #n she said that we couldn't talk long bc the blue guy was after me but she'd distract it by joining its side #and also there was like this whole subplot in between abt like uhhh exchanging love for power i think? idk i don't remember rn #i just remember that the author temporarily exchanged some of her like. goodwill or smth to buy me time to prepare for my fight #with the blue guy and so i hiding in the bathroom listened w my ear pressed against the wall as she became corrupted n then it was #my turn to fight the blue guy n i opened up the door n stuff but then i woke up :c #anyway so that was MY dream diary for today everyone leave your own recent dreams in the replies and we can have a discussion lol #花話

sooooo many things are simultaneously kicking my ass right now thank god i don't play cod or i'd have to also suffer the humiliation of 12yos kicking my ass too

#wow those vaccines sure can huh #plus also the minus 4 vials of blood which is a lot #plus also my dumbass forgetting i've lost a significant amount of blood and won't have it all back yet going ahead and hitting that vape #AND i can't look at injection sites so i am INCAPABLE of bandaging my own arm WHICH IS A FUN AND EXCITING DEVELOPMENT LET ME TELL YOU #i feel like *ass* right now so i'm gonna sit and drink some water and i'll take my meds at my normal time and i'm just gonna #work very hard at not feeling dizzy and nauseous even though i'm sitting down #the shower might not have been a great choice but it was a good one and i'm glad i did it #thank fuck for shower chairs and beloved family who care about you and will help your stupid ass when you make dumb choices #(like getting high when you've gotten A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF BLOOD taken and then realizing you wanted a shower)#anyway i feel very vindicated that i knew part of my problem with getting my blood taken was seeing the draw happen #and that's why it took so long for the wooziness to hit me and i didn't get faint until like what feels like a whole minute had passed afte #she finished taking the last one #note to self: hydrate better you dumbass #feel free to (playfully) shame me for not hydrating i am very aware of a certain amount of irony in this being my fate because i didn't #drink enough water lol
