everytime i remember almost no-one in the fandom seems to think guillermo de la cruz is ace i get so mad. it's partially about my own expectations bc watching the show i just sorta assumed everyone would bc it's so very obvious to me. like you can't tell me he was tryna come out as gay at that table lmao. he would not feel the need to make it into such a thing, they never expected him to be straight. coming out as asexual however? to these sex-obsessed vampires? of course he'd feel the need to explain and justify himself with a long speech, if he didn't they wouldn't believe him, they would not understand it as a real possibility. there's plenty of other stuff too that i don't remember specifically enough 2 talk about. also it just seems like poor media literacy to me. i can't say that with certainty cuz i don't actually know the writers' intentions either but to me it's rly just canon that he's ace. i know queerbaiting is an issue and we need explicit representation and in my ideal world he is explicitly stated to be asexual in a future episode of the show but im also a strong believer in not needing characters to look at the camera and state their identities for them to have those identities as a written part of their character.

you have to stop acting like you are only worthy of hate and malice. you have to. i know how hard it is ta stop the self deprecating jokes or feeling the constant urge ta dunk on yourself i have been there and i have done that and i cant even say that i love myself b/c i dont, but im in a better place now b/c i actually accept that people feel positive feelings about me and i am not unlovable! ive lost count of how many times i have poured out my heart ta my friends and told them i love them or that i love something they create and then i just get slapped in the face by them saying "no thats not true everything i create sucks and i suck" like!!! what is the point of me being here honestly. why am i saying nice things ta you if you're constantly going ta say otherwise. do you even care about the things i hafta say? why are you acting like your friends are constantly lying ta you abt how they feel? you hafta think about how constantly rejecting someones affections for you (in this specific sense) is going to impact them! you dont hafta believe that you're the best thing since sliced bread if someone tells you that you are. but you have to accept that the people who care about you feel that way about you or you're going to drive them away. like im trying to love you asshole! let me!!

This loop has to be the one. Nevermind that you said it last loop, and the one before, and the one before that, and most of the ones before that. THIS was the one you'd stop the King in his tracks. You push a few of your many potions to the side to make room on your desk. None of them worked to stop him, so they were useless. He's still about twelve, fourteen? hours away, so you have enough time to make the bomb, eat and take a fat nap before you go pick a fight. Maybe this time, it'll work! It has to!

You've gotten better at making the Craft Bomb. It hasn't blown up on you before you intended to use it in... a long time. You can make it fast enough, now, for it to still be light outside! You've become silent while you work, which Mirabelle has told you is ''worrying'', but you don't see why it is. Are you really that loud? (Yes. You are.)

It's hard work. Soft light bathes your desk, your work, you. You reach out, past your potions, and grab your water bottle. Take a big swig, and

Hmm. That's not water.

How. HOW do you keep making this mistake. You look at the bottle in your hand, and sure enough, it’s one of the potions; your water bottle is shoved in the back of the collection of other containers. The taste is caustic, your throat begins to burn. You shouldn’t be this calm for having just drank something that’ll kill you in a handful of minutes, but it’s happened before. Despite the pain you don't bother trying anything. Just push the finished bomb to the side and lay your face against the wood of the table. Feel the blood start to pool in your mouth and dribbling out, staining the wood. Mirabelle, or Euphie or whoever comes in next, they can use it this loop. It's not the first time you've drank one of the many, many dangerous potions on your desk, and it's probably not the last. Maybe you'll actually clean the crabbing thing off before you work.

Whatever. You have next time. You have all the time.
