But! Let's imagine a world in which he endured all that or some sort of interference happened so things didn't escalate to the point they had. If he never quitted YG, he would be put on Treasure Box, receive the most majestic and appealing cut in the history of reality television, and make it at the 11th to 13th cut, max. Debuting would make him the first chinese Idol under YG Entertainment, and although that would possibly skyrocket his fanbase in mainland China and a lot of SEA countries - specially because he lived in the Philippines! His tagalog is atrocious but hey! - it would also put an immense target on his back over How That Happened, despite the involvement of his father being very minimal in this canon compared to how tangled he had to get with New Wave Music to give Jiahang a spot in LOOPiN.

Really, I don't think he would stay long as a Treasure member by an infinity of reasons, in fact, I see him exiting the group alongside Mashiho and Yedam in late 2022, or maybe even earlier. I think he could make himself into an Idol archetype that worked for him in Treasure, but without anyone putting on the Produce Line pants and actually training him and making him drop the non ambitious act, as happened here, Idol life would get very boring and unfulfilling to Jiahang very fast.

After quitting Treasure, he would definely go back to the mainland, or maybe Taiwan or Hong Kong if he felt more like depending on his dad's influence, and stablish himself there. Do a ton of CFs, act a bit, model a little, regret back to ulzzang mostly, release one song once in a blue moon... And that's that!

ATEEZ's MINWOO.

Oh boy... So, Minwoo was the second ever trainee under KQ Entertainment, arriving at the company right after Hongjoong, and was immediately cut into the debut team. That ended up not lasting because of his constant fights with superiors and trainers, his push to be made the head of a fully self producing group - sounds familiar? Lmao -, as well as the fact that he couldn't get along with the forming trainee team in any way. Like, the Ateez members in LOOPiN canon hate him, just absolutely hate him, and they only had to deal with him for 8 months. Yet they have great reasons for that because MINWOO USED TO SUCK ASS!

That hatred would not digress all that much if he ended up debuting in Ateez, because he would debut extremely unsatisfied. There's also no reality in which he stays in the group longer than 2 years before getting the boot. Minwoo is not an Idol that can function anywhere outside of LOOPiN with all its particularities and the power that he was granted inside New Wave Music, that is like, almost unheard of for a trainee - the one thing I can compare it to, if I'm not mistaken, would be Bang Chan with Stray Kids, kind of, or Kahi with Afterschool, but even they didn't get that producer-ish status until they were already a) under the company for ages or b) already debuted and successful.

After being excused from Ateez, I don't think he would go down quietly; he would probably Say Too Much and tarnish his reputation in the process, making coming back in a group or even a soloist very hard, close to impossible, I would even say. That wouldn't discourage him from making music, and he would stay in the industry as a music producer, and maybe find career redemption there. And he would be extremely unhappy in a lifetime like that, by the way! Forever bitter his Idol dream didn't work! When I say Minwoo without LOOPiN would have turned out a miserable person, I mean it.

OOO's HANJAE.

Enough with the failures! Let's talk something that would work! Before being added to LOOPiN next minute to fill in Dongwook getting the chop, Hanjae was already under BBC and he was training with the guys that ended up becoming OnlyOneOf. If he hadn't made it as a replacement, he would get integrated into the lineup with ease, and get transferred to 8D with everyone and eventually debut in OOO.

I honestly think there's a lot of room for success for Hanjae in this version of canon, and much like will happen to him in LOOPiN eventually duo to both group's acting heavy concept - a concept that I find it so hard for Hanjae to execute without combusting, but I digress! - I see him getting a Rowoon/Eunwoo sort of deal and reaching popular actor status, as he's always intended to reach, and excel at it. Maybe because of OOO's nuguness, if you will, it would take him longer to get the sort of roles he's gotten up until now, but that would not frustrate Hanjae. He's definely someone that can be happy with moderate success, and that wouldn't fully succumb to the actor disease and ever leave the group - which might limited him more, too... But he isn't in it for glory and recognition, and honestly? That's a good mentality to have.

The only big loss I see in this version is his producing talents going by undiscovered, but he can live without them.

CRAVITY's HAEGON.

Okay, hear me out, I always had a clear vision of Cravity's Haegon. Just picture this: Kim Haegon, who spent most of his formative years as a Pledis trainee up until his favorite hyung Beomseok was dismissed from the company for 'being too old', which Haegon didn't take well back when he was 16, given their growing codependent sibling-ish deal. Now, if Beomseok had been firmer with him at that point in time and abandoned him for good - LIKE HE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO, ANYWAYS! BUT ANYWAYS! - instead of going along with his plan to hunt a place for them to debut and landing in Boy Of The Week, everything would be so different for him.

Would Haegon go apeshit then? Yes. In the same way he's gone apeshit at 22 when Beomseok left the group without discussing it with him? No. It would be so much healthier for them to have gone their separate ways when Haegon was still a teenager. Like, his way of getting 'revenge' at Beomseok would be to get into his former company, Starship Entertainment - the one that really fucked him up - and grind his way to debut there no matter what, literally, no matter what, because he still had a bigger goal. LOOPiN Haegon in 2022 had all his dreams 'fulfilled', in his perspective, and had nothing else to focus his energy on except for the fact that Beomseok was missing - and that Gyujin was taking his place.

A lot of things would happen to him as consequence of him going to Starship, like A LOT, too many to get into here, but most of them would be good development things. I also think his bound with the Cravity members would be way less chaotic than with LOOPiN, that was fucked by Beomseok being his ultimate priority - unless Cravity has members creating vicious circles of codependency between each other and I'm not familiar with that!

Anyways, he would SHINE in Cravity after debut, but I honestly think a Haegon that got separated from Beomseok much earlier and had responsible enough people around him would shine anywhere. Suck that's not his canon, though! It actually really sucks that's not who he is or will ever be, now! It hurts me! It really does!

AND THE OTHERS...?

Without LOOPiN on their way, Taesong, Seungsoo, Haruki, Dylan, O.z and Gyujin would all end up as regular citizens, or at the very least non Idol celebrities! But that would be a whole other post...

When LOOPiN eventually disbands, and we're talking like when they reach their mid and early 30s because I think after 2024 + their military enlistment era they will still have a good one or two years before they fully branch off:

Taesong's going to become a radio host while he's still under RareRhy + focus on raising his family with his then wife Yunhee - I'm pretty sure they will have like, 3 kids;

Minwoo's pretty obviously getting over his premature 2024 retirement and working as a music producer again - he's officially signed to A Company (important), but he doesn't rap or sing unless it's in very special features for his friends. And even less surprisingly he's eventually becoming roommates with J.J both in their house in Korea and their apartment in Hong Kong;

Seungsoo is becoming the CEO of his very own entertainment company - probably going to steal a lot of employees from RareRhythm and MBN. He'll 100% make the next greatest girl group of all time. I think romantically he'll keep on being a serial dater until he dies, probably will get a kid out of one of these endeavours just because I think he will be a pretty good dad;

Haruki is becoming a full time choreographer/trainer for Soo's company, and surprise surprise! He's going back to college as a 30 something and studying art history. He'll pretty much retire from publicly appearing as a singer or model. I want to imagine he'll end up with Sejin far, faaaar into the future but honest to God I don't know if Haruki is the type to give second chances to anyone even in his most mature form;

On a similar vein to Haruki, Gyujin is also not staying as an Idol on his own - he's a team player, he would hate it bad. He will open his own little studio and teach Yoga like he does best, maybe even work to be a physical therapist later on? I see him staying single :( because I still don't know what Gyujin wants when it comes to romance. Maybe he'll always want nothing on that department and that's that;

Dylan's final love will always be filmmaking and he's going to make some extremely poetic and inspired movies that will go to Cannes and shit. I also see him working as a concept director under 'Seungsoo Ent', but not full time - Seungsoo will never give a group of his lore. I always see him going back to the US for a while, specially to catch his grandparents final moments, but ultimately he's made too much of a life for himself in Seoul to not call that his home too. I'm still uncertain about him and Furumi and how far they'll go, but I don't think she stays on his life that long as a partner - but as friends, yes! None of the Fukunaga sibs will never leave him;

O.z will keep on being a highly requested producer, I see him getting very international while maintaining his soft spot for K-Pop. He'll also never stop realizing these insane sounding mixtapes. I see him leaving South Korea with Nico, of course, probably to New Zealand. I can't see them having kids anytime soon but hey! You never know what's the next crazy thing these two are going to do!;

Hanjae's becoming a full time actor, and he'll end up the busiest and most long time famous loop dude ever. It'll take him a good while to balance his work and personal life all on his own, but I like to imagine he's getting himself a great manager team - maybe even leaded by Han Qiong! I think he would still make music from time to time, but very spaced out between his dramas and movies;

J.J is going full time TV personality + magazine model + actor combo - in Korea, in China, in the US, this man is going to be everywhere doing a bit of everything. He lives primarily in Hong Kong but it's always traveling and running around the world while dragging Minwoo along;

Haegon's going solo, babyyyyy, and I mean it all the way. He's not signing to any company that has a loop dude under them, but that's just Haegon's personal journey! It'll be important to him to do a full restart without the guys for a change, but that doesn't mean he won't keep on cheering and meeting up with his bros. I see him crashing at the member's houses all the time between schedules and his many concerts.

Statistics 2B is really hard. :( Your teacher is such a drag and the content is really difficult. Slowly you make your way down the class roster and find yourself with a C- for your midterm grade.

Your teacher recommends finding someone at home to help. If he can't teach you the content, maybe someone else can.

Amin was a total star student. When you tell him about your problem, he offers to help right away!

"My hero!" You say. He laughs at that.

"I'm no hero. But, I am pretty baller at statistics."

"That's good enough for me." You get started the next night.

"Minwoo, this shit sucks." He smiles at you. He would listen to you complain all night if it meant that the two of you could sit this close.

"C'mon y/n. This is an easy problem. Look back to this section." He stretches across the table, setting his right hand on your knee and his left on the textbook.

"This is the formula. All you have to do is plug in the numbers and solve." He returns to his original spot, but his hand doesn't. You look at him and he just smiles innocently. "C'mon. Do it." He urges you.

So you do. You copy the formula, plug in the numbers, and solve.

"Is this right, Min? He loves when you call him anything but his name.

He squeezes your knee reassuringly. "Yeah, good job! See? It's simple." His hand slides up your thigh and further between your legs as he talks.

"Y-yeah. I guess. Is the next one the same thing?"

"Yup. Go ahead and do that one for me." Another squeeze.

With another right answer, you receive more praise from Minwoo. You suspect he's giving you more credit than it's worth. The way he's starting the spread your legs apart is driving you only slightly insane.

"Good job, bub. You're really getting the hang of this unit. You think you can get three in a row for me?"

"Depends."

"On what? You know you can do it."

"Depends on what I get if I do?" He drops his smile for a second, but puts it right back on when he realizes what you're thinking.

"That's how we're gonna do this? You've always been a greedy girl. If you get this right, we can be done studying for the night. I'll take you to your room, flip that slutty skirt up, and fuck you into your mattress."

"Fuck, Minnie. Please let's just g-"

"No. Answer the question. Do what you're told."

You didn't need to be told again. After finishing the question, you turn the page towards him. "Is it right, Min?"

"It is, baby. How about you go wait for me in your room. Let me clean up. I'll be right there."

Lost in the cloud, chapter 102-103 analysis

After chapter 101, we see that Skylar runs away after beating cirrus unconscious, rushing to go to class, in which Cirrus follows to class, and then has a panic attack in front of the board, after the teacher calls him up to answer a problem, which seems pretty stupid to others, but Skylar next to him notices, yet he acts indifferent despite knowing exactly why cirrus had a panic attack. Later, we see Skylar walking home from cram school, when he gets a call from cirrus, and to my surprise, he actually picks up, and cirrus says one of my favorite lines from him so far, “you don’t need to like me, but I’ll wait until you do.” I think skylar was a it surprised by this, so he asked where cirrus was and guess what? He was in fact, right behind him. Next part was prolly the most shocking considering they skipped all sort of communication and just started making out. Anyways there wasn’t a lot to talk about this chapter except for the fact that they had just completely skipped over all communication. And reminder that Skylar wasn’t gonna act violently is chapter 101 until cirrus brought up minwoo. This fact and the fact that they skipped all communication I think plays another part of their characters. Because of Skylar’s trauma, which made him very vulnerable and afraid of affection, which is basically the answer to why cirrus had already told Skylar about his past yet Skylar hadn’t. Now to put it in a different perspective, imagine in chapter 96 if it had been a person from Skylar’s past rather than Cirrus’s obviously, Skylar wouldn’t have been as willing to open up about his past given his backstory, which made him afraid of love versus cirrus’s backstory, which made him deprived and desperate of affection, which is basically why the entire relationship up to now has been completely initiated by Cirrus, and as I had predicted before, this would have brought up many issues in the future, which we see in chapter 101. And the thing is, even through the entire book, Skylar had mixed emotions about his relationship with Cirrus, which I don’t know why I hadn’t seen in the past, probably because there was never really a clear indication in which Skylar began enjoying Cirrus’s companionship. Anyway, when exactly did this miscommunication begin? Like I’ve stated in my analysis of chapter 101, I blame this on the events of chapter 97, where it all went wrong. Where Cirrus became obsessed with Skylar and where his jealousy of Chan-I’ll began to resurface. We see more of this miscommunication in chapter 103, which I’m not going to touch upon as much because the majority of it was them being all lovey dovey kissy kissy and sleeping with each other the first time like what the freak dude was that really necessary?

It was raining today...I saw a comment: "They saved us but we can't save them." That's true but the people that are responsible for their mental state will never learn. They didn't learn when it happened to Jonghyun, Sulli, Hara, or even Minwoo who died from cardiac arrest because of the stress. Moonbin is not the first and I'm sure he won't be the last one. My friend and I were talking, cursing at everyone and everything. It wasn't the right thing to do, we know that. I was crying a lot too but even tho I'm devastated I can't imagine how his friends, family, and group members feel. Stay strong everyone we should be happy about the memories he left us with and be smiling just like he always did. Stay strong my fellow Aroha!

The woman didn’t remember much of the morning, but the strong scent of coffee filled her nostrils as she forced her eyes open. She rubbed her face, squinting at the sun creeping through his blinds. He saw her sit up out of the corner of his eye, quickly setting the warm mug down on his desk.

“Were you sleeping? I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“What time is it?” She almost forgot how she fell asleep in his clothes, cuddled close to him. When it finally came to her, she pulled his blankets closer to cover her.

“8. Do you wanna sleep some more?”

She shook her head. “I usually wake up before 7. This is very unlike me.”

“Coffee?” He held out his mug, watching her decline.

“I’m more of a tea person.” She chuckled, smiling at how shy he became when dealing with her. He pulled away, saving himself the embarrassment with a cough.

“Right. I forgot. I’m sure we have tea here too.”

“I’m okay, but do you have a spare toothbrush?” She covered her mouth, snorting as he cracked a smile.

“I left you one in my bathroom.” He held out his hand, Mira pulling off his blankets and standing to her feet before grabbing his hand. He led her to his bathroom, pulling the door closed as soon as she got in and letting her do her business.

She was worried about her morning breath more than anything. When looking in the koror, she was a mess. Her hair was tangled and definitely looked like a boy with bed head. She was extremely puffy and couldn’t believe she had let Wonwoo see her like this.

She tried brushing her fingers through her hair before braiding her hair with the spare hair tie she always had on her wrist. She brushed her teeth, making sure to scrub her tongue just in case. Their first night together was quite cozy, but she knew if she wanted to stay more she would have to have a bag prepared.

She hurried back to his room once she was done freshening up, seeing him laying on the edge of his bed with his legs hanging off the mattress with a book in his hands. She giggled, Wonwoo quickly sitting up after being startled by her entrance.

She sat next to him, scooting back against the wall and covering her bottom half. She watched as he sipped on his coffee, showing almost no reaction to the taste.

“Can I try?” She tapped his shoulder, bookmarking his place and handing the mug to her.

“Careful, it’s still pretty hot.” He gave her the side with the handle, watching her blow on the coffee before taking a sip. Her shoulders tensed at the bitter taste, her eyes squeezing as she smacked her lips and handing it back to him.

“It’s not for everybody.” He laughed, patting the sides of her hair down and stopping himself before blushing.

“Maybe it’s the mixture of the mint too.” Her mind had been a few steps behind his, his expression dropping before leaning back, Mira following his lead and kissing his lips. Her eyes shut, being reminded of their first kiss together in that library. It still felt just as refreshing.

“Bitter.” She pulled away slightly, eyeing the features of his face.

“Minty.” He added, turning so he was laid more comfortably in front of her. She giggled, finding his hand and running her fingers over his. She never imagined herself falling this hard for a man again.

He reached to give her a quick peck on the cheek as he noticed thoughts begin to flood her mind. Maybe he had a thing for figuring out people like this, or maybe he just knew her that well. Something was on her mind and he was unsure whether he should pry or not.

“Hungry?” He lifted his eyebrows, watching her demeanor change and seeing that smile on her face. “Mario Kart? Wanna take a walk?”

She snickered like she had a few tricks up her sleeve. “I wouldn’t do that. I’m always gonna beat you in Mario Kart.”

“Who says I don’t always let you win?”

She shakes her head, brushing his hair back before kissing his forehead. “I would know if you were throwing.” She grabs his head, leading him to his setup on the desk. “Come on.”
