- a song that reminds me of them: hmm… anything about the sea, but also particularly songs with deeper meanings, not just the drinking songs (though they do fit him very well). I first found out about “Wir lieben die Sturme” while writing We Still stand proud and that songs just works perfectly for Shanks. If we’re talking more modern songs? Something just like this, by the Chainsmokers and Coldplay.

 - what they smell like: alcohol and the sea. Especially the sea.

 - Otp: Shanks/Makino or Shanks/Buggy 

 - Notp: Shanks/Mihawk unless Mihawks gets his head out of his ass and stops treating Shanks like a cripple. 

 - favourite platonic/familial relationships: Buggy and Shanks will always be the best friends in the world even if they’re ridiculously co-dependent. Shanks and Luffy, Shanks and Roger

 - a popular headcanon in fandom that I disagree with: hum… not sure if i have one? I mean i mostly disagree with canon, not fannon sooo… Anything that has Shanks treating Buggy like an idiot I guess?

 - the position they sleep in: if alone, Shanks definitely starfishes. If there’s someone else in the bed? He’s a huge cuddler and prefers to be the big spoon. 

 - a crossover i would love to see them in: Bleach. Or Pirates of the Carribean. The last one would be hilarious 

 - favourite outfit: either his marineford outfit or the one he wore as a kid because he was a damn cute kid!
