- Coby was born in Hong Kong, both his mother coming from old family money whilst his father had built up his own company (with the help of the mother). This resulted their companies going international and it ultimately led the Zhang family to New York.

- Coby had loved the city life, he had ended up always traveling to different cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, Melbourne, etc. He was a nomad. He hated consistency, he was always changing his mind on where to go

- He got himself in some trouble in New York and ended up coming to michigan for college

logan is the world’s biggest geek ever. something nerdy, name it and she loves it. star wars, star trek, superheroes, dungeons and dragons ... whatever. she’s a fuckin DORK and that’s what matters. she gets very excited about these things. 

tw drinking & slight drug tw // but she’s also a bit of a partier. loves drinking, smoking pot, going to parties. she’s not really a hookup person, but rather a serial short term romantic, where she falls deeply head over heels for a guy and decides to woo him, only to get bored a few weeks later. she’s, however, hooked up with plenty of people, including girls because she’s #bisexual but is WAY too nervous around girls to work her dating magic on them. she gets a little flustered and tongue tied if it goes into romantic talks. 

logan’s parents are the one’s that own the cabin. her dad is a pretty well known director in hollywood, and her mom is a model probably 10 years his junior. they’re not famous enough that people know her, but they’re famous enough that they’re never really home and her sad little only child ass gets lonely, especially around holidays. that’s where everyone comes in to their fancy cabin, a summer home that she’s dubbed their winter wonderland for the next weeks. 

she’s extremely science oriented, and thus is probably a bit of a disappointment to her very artsy parents. she LOVES all things space, and will not hesitate to go on huge long tangents about her interests. 

she takes very little seriously except for school. everything is a joke to her, and she can be reckless and not think about other people’s feelings when making a joke or expressing how she feels. she’s usually a total sweetheart but just sometimes values honesty and a good puncline over being nice

dare was born and raised in detroit to a loving mother and a father he couldn’t have hated more. truly, the dad wasn’t ready for fatherhood and took it out on his own kid. the hatred started early and was reciprocated, more from his father’s side than his own. neither dare or his mom really stood up to old pops for being a dick and sort of lived with it. 

(parental death tw) the thing is, dare’s mom died soon after he turned thirteen of a heart attack and the remaining title’s weren’t the same. his dad turned into an entire... monster and dare quickly took the mantle of an edgy emo boy. he had no idea how to deal with such a loss and a father who blamed him for his mother’s death. after a year of wallowing and taking his father’s shit, darren decided enough was enough and ran to live with his aunt who lived about twenty minutes away from highview u. his dad was like “aight see ya” and completely forgot about dare and adopted a brand new perfect son who was also french. smh. 

truthfully, dare never got over his whole edgy phase and was salty about his father for ages (and still is!). his aunt was very lax in “parenting” (if you can even say she did that) and at most would just pick up dare from the police station after he set fire to a pile of trash at the junkyard. until he was sixteen, dare went buckwild, okay? he was committing crimes left and right, partying until dawn, and then doing it all over again the next week. he was decent though. and still kept up with school. his dad said that he expected dare to drop out a few too many times and he truly stayed in school just for spite. the one thing his aunt did to help him though was teach him how to play the piano. it was something his mom truly loved and dare always wanted to learn, but his dad always said he couldn’t. turns out he was a natural and here he is attending highview u on scholarship because there’s no way he could get in otherwise.

personality wise, he’s a dick, usually. to the public, he’s a menace. at the police station, he’s hated. he’s god a lethal tongue and doesn’t really give a shit about people’s feelings. total asshole, you get it, right? but here’s the catch: i really... think that when dealing with this group of friends, dare is just a whole new person. he has an entirely separate personality that’s much kinder and more understanding than the one he puts on to the general public. dare really loves this group more than anyone and considers them his family. he understands them, is usually open about his past issues, and would die for them in a heartbeat. also, he’s unusually emotional around them. catch him having a breakdown in the hot tub at least four times over this vacation!

some more hcs as if this isn’t long enough i’m sorry: dare is bi and identifies as a demiboy! he usually uses he/him pronouns but will use they/them too. his favorite crime is arson. he usually won’t get in a fight because he can’t risk damage to his hands, but will deck someone if truly needed. loves loves loves frank ocean and the nbhd. he’ll impulsively give himself stick and pokes and is a master at it. cries in every movie. has drunk dmed david dobrik at least 14 times asking if he can join the squad. whiskey king.
