The little different Cat Cafe - ML AU

The lovely @ghostlyhamburger had the amazing idea of an aged up AU, where it's a normal cat cafe but featuring the staff as handsome (mostly) shirtless guys.

Adrien and the rest of the Miracubros being the staff to Alya's or their own cat cafe (Adrien is particularly good at handling the cats, they seem to gravitate towards him the most).

ML Counsellor AU: The Gorilla

Carmine was expecting another long day after a night of no sleep. What she didn’t expect was to get a cup of tea from someone she never spoke to, and a silent agreement to come between the two of them.

Carmine was in for yet another long day. It didn’t help that she had not gotten much sleep last night due to an akuma running around til one in the morning. She didn’t even want to think about how Chat Noir and Ladybug we’re feeling at this point.

She briefly remembered seeing Adrien being dropped off this morning with his bodyguard, he seemed fine for the most part and asked how she was feeling, no doubt seeing the bags under her eyes. She gave him a small smile and stated nothing a cup of peppermint tea couldn’t fix.

The bell had rung, signalling class starting by the time Carmine made it to her office, only or her to discover she had run out of peppermint tea. As well as ginger tea, her chamomile tea and most of her tea that would help her to wake up. The only teas she had left were soothing ones, but she honestly needed something with a bit more kick to it.

She groaned internally at the thought of having to drink coffee when there was a knock at her door. She really wasn’t in the mood to talk to people yet, but she had a job to do. She took a deep breath, walking over and opened the door, only instead of having to look down to see a student, like she expected, she had to look up, and up. She almost had to crane her neck to look at the massive man that Carmine knew as Adrien’s bodyguard.

She blinked several times, very confused as to why this man was here, before noticing he was holding two large paper cups from the cafe just down the street. On one cup in neat handwriting it said ‘Large coffee, black’, and on the other it said ‘Peppermint tea, plain’.

Carmine felt a large smile come across her face as the man handed her peppermint tea, and she gladly took it. “You, my good sir, just possibly saved me from a very long day. Thank you.” She said, sipping the tea and letting out a soft sigh at the fresh, minty taste. “Would you like to come in and finish your coffee?” She asked the tall, silent man. He nodded, walking in and sitting down in one of the chairs, which she found somewhat humorous that he barely fit in it before she went and sat down in her own chair, sipping at the piping hot tea.

The silence between the two adults continued for roughly three minutes before it was finally broken, not by Carmine, but by the man himself. “You shouldn’t spread yourself too thin.”

Carmine blinked several times, looking at the man like he grew a third head. As far as she knew, she had never heard the man speak before. She had honestly thought he was mute.

“P-pardon?” She asked slowly, looking at the man who stared straight at her.

“Being a psychiatrist, you know that if you take too much on at once, it will burn you out. Having to deal with students going through these traumas, as well as the constant threat of being targeted by Hawkmoth, isn’t healthy. You need to look after yourself, so you are able to look after others.” The man said, his voice incredibly deep and gravely as he spoke.

Carmine blinked, before smiling slightly “Don’t worry, I keep my work at work and my home at home. Just a sleepless night is all.” She said sipping her tea.

“You keep them separate unless super hero’s arrive at your apartment for sessions.” He said, not in accusation, but in fact. Carmine froze, feeling her face pale as she looked at him.

How could he know? She had been careful, and no one from the Ladyblog had seen Chat Noir come or leave her apartment, otherwise I would have blown up all over the internet.

As he an akuma? No, he looked far to normal to be one, and the most ‘normal’ looking akuma had been Anti Bug and Lady Wifi. Why was he here? Was he going to black mail her?

“Is he safe?” The bodyguard suddenly asked, still looking straight at Carmine.

The Counsellors mind was going a mile a minute, trying to figure out why he would care about one of Paris’s superhero’s this much to confront her... unless...

A sudden realization came across her and she felt her body relax as she looked at him “... as safe as any super hero who is fighting a super villain who manipulates peoples emotions.” She said to him slowly, carefully choosing her words. She couldn’t reveal her hand too much, least her assumption be wrong.

He gave a curt nod, still looking straight at her “Have you told anyone about seeing him?” The question caused her to raise a brow, wondering if he knew about her code of conduct about not telling anyone about who or what her sessions were about.

“Like who?” She asked slowly. He just looked at her with the same stern, stone faced expression.

“Family, friends.” Nathalie was the name that hung in the air. Had she told her best friend, who she has known for years about Chat Noir seeing her for advice.

“Besides for yourself and Chat Noir, no one else knows.” Was all she said to the body guard evenly. “How did you know Chat saw me?”

“...” he remained silent for a moment, clearly thinking over how he should say this next part “... I usually know where those I am in charge of looking after are, even if they are very good at jumping around the city.”

Carmine raised an eyebrow, letting out a soft hum, glancing to the side and noticing the brown paper bag beside him. It had a logo stamped on the frontside, which was facing Carmine in full view and she recognized it from one of the better meat and cheese shops in town... the one where she remembered Plagg insisting it had some of the best Camembert in the city.

She looked the bodyguard in the eye, his eyes never leaving her, he no doubt saw her eyeing the bag. “... did you know that black cats like cheese? They seem to like Camembert best.”

The gorilla of a man gave a small smirk, nodding “The small ones seem to like to eat the biggest pieces too, surprised they don’t chock on them, they eat it so fast sometimes it seems like they’ll run out of it.” He said slowly.

Carmine’s eyes widened a slightly as her own smirk spread across her face “Well, I happen to have a small fridge in my office, if the cat ever wishes to visit.”

The bodyguard nodded, picking up the brown paper bag that sat beside him “I happened to buy an extra wheel of Camembert, if your interested Mlle.” he said, brining out a wheel of cheese.

Carmine smiled widely, a warm feeling going through her system. Someone who understood, who wanted what was best for the black cat of Paris, and had no interest in outing him, it was almost too good to be true. “... thank you, if makes me happy to know I’m not the only one looking out for black cats.”

A little ML Cat Cafe doodle I cleaned up and used to practice some shading. I'm trying to force myself to work with colours a bit better to get some nice shadows and contrast. Learned a lot with this and I'm happy with how it turned out 😊

XY arc + Miraculous Ladybug AU Part 1

Some ideas I made up after I got back into the show from my little sister. It got pretty detailed, so I’m splitting this into 2 parts.

Everyone here lives in Lumiose City, because it’s Paris and all.

Everyone can bring their Pokemon to school, but must be in Pokeballs during class. It kinda helps with defending themselves against the akuma, but they’re too powerful to be that affected, and only Ladybug can purify the akuma to prevent them from multiplying.

The kwamis don’t resemble as one Pokemon species, they’re kinda a mix of some. They’re also as old as Arceus, and a different class of legendaries because they can not be seen by neither human or Pokemon.

Gurkinn’s the Miraculous Guardian, and he and Korrina (after getting akumatized for being pissed of two random teenagers getting powerful miraculouses over her) often watch them. Korrina probably doesn’t get any of the miraculous, maybe one of the Chinese zodiacs, and while knowledgable of the miraculous, isn’t going to be the guardian, making her pissed even more.

Korrina goes to the same school as the gang, and they know each other, but aren’t exactly close at all. Good enough for Korrina to watch them from afar.

Lysandre’s Hawkmoth, and he wants X and Y’s miraculouses so he can revive Yveltal and Xerneas to power up the ultimate weapon. He’s Trevor’s uncle, and they both despise each other, but they have to tolerate each other as Trevor has to live with him. Malva’s his assistant who still keeps her thirst towards him.

He also sometimes visits the school they go to because Sycamore teaches there. None of the gang trusts him at all. Despite that, Emma works for him, which comes to bite her in the ass later.

Y and X are definitely Ladybug and Cat Noir. They’re also Marinette and Adrien’s equivalent in this AU. Though less stupid and knew each other since forever, and are best friends. Except that they have complicated feelings for each other that they haven’t exactly figured it out.

Y is quite distant from her mom because she has to juggle regular school and sky trainer school. She also has to deal with her bullies, and becomes quiet dealing with them, to telling them off after becoming Ladybug because she saves their goddamned asses, she’s gonna get that respect.

Her mom definitely got akumatized after a recent incident and her daughter going missing because of LB duties. They managed to reconcile, settle their differences, and Y may have told her she’s ladybug and her mom tries to support her the best she can. 

Y as Ladybug really is no different from her own self. Just probably more chill because she has to. Because of that, her friends, classmates, and mom suspect she’s Ladybug because they’re not as stupid as a certain cast. glances at the entire ML cast

X isn’t a total shut in like in canon, since he has school of course, but he never really goes outside. Grace at first tries to homeschool him after the tournament fiasco, but she got busy with other jobs that she just made him go to public school at the beginning of the current events of the AU. He’s not happy to say the least, but he tries to not be so negative seeing his friends being happy with going to school with them. Then he gets the Cat Miraculous, and he really can’t be in the house anymore. 

X’s parents are somewhere in another region. Both of them would return to Kalos, meet their son, but suddenly, an akuma or other trouble, making him run off to do something, and he constantly has to do that, making them both akumatized. After that, he reveals he’s Cat Noir, and they try to make up for the lost time.

X as Cat Noir acts quietly confident, reckless, and cocky, because this is his turf. Because of this, he gets in trouble a lot, though often makes the plans with Ladybug. He also quietly compliments Ladybug a lot, which he tries to hold up without getting flustered.

Ladybug and Cat Noir are best bros and partners, and they often compliment each other, though Ladybug gets annoyed at his brashness. Ladybug gets nostalgia from it though because of X, and Cat Noir is very happy being around her because she reminds him of Y. They both suspect the other is that because of disappearances and similar personalities, though feel kinda conflicted when they start crushing on each other.

so basically the whole au is not focused on the love square drama cause they’re confident/not in a good place to date/know each other long enough to realize they’re probably kickass partners/i only enjoy the show for its potential lore

Trevor’s somewhat of an Alya and Nino, in that he’s more of X’s friend, but he also video tapes their affairs and directly interviews LB’s and CN’s affairs. While at first he wanted to flee, when he realized that the news outlet don’t talk about the superheroes and the attacks, he decided to make something like the Ladyblog (Miraculous Blog?). He instantly got a lot of mileage, which forces news outlets to emulate him. He also is fascinated with learning their powers and identities, but after learning that their identities must be hidden for safety reasons, he stops. Though he thinks that X and Y are LB and CN, but can’t confirm it.

He has been akumatized before, from the stress of school, striving to be a scientist, and running the Miraculous Blog, or like Alya and was trying to uncover Ladybug and Cat Noir’s identities. His powers were able to use a variety of Pokemon abilities or cyber powers like Alya.

Trevor was trusted with the Fox Miraculous and becomes Renard Rouge after his older sister (reference to his game version), who is out of region because of going to a university, gets akumatized. Of course, he gets that again, and learns how to be confident! And whack his bag of a shit of an uncle with his flute.

He often hangs out at Lys’ cafe, Y’s, Shauna’s, Tierno’s, or Emma’s house because his own is so big and lonely, and he really wants to avoid Lys.

He becomes really good friends/partners/lovers with Emma/Pagoni because he often tutors her and she works for Lysandre as his akuma slave cafe’s waiter so they know each other quite a bit. And Pagoni and him, while clashing with their plans (Pagoni: LET’S GO BREAK THEIR FUCKING LEGS RR: NO), are pretty chill with each other since they suspect/know who the other really is.

The Cat Cafe has a selection of desserts available! Just don't let the cats get at them (Tikki and Plagg are the usual food menaces. Tikki likes the sweet things and Plagg is just a glutton.)
