Can we talk about how insane it is that during their first interview, Ladynoir spent the first half of it aggressively flirting with one another and then spent the other half of it with one of them incessantly denying that there's anything romantic going on between them, all the while staring down a picture of them engaged in true love's kiss.

Optimizing Viewing Experience for Love Square Shippers
You guys have previously seen me make a post on the love square screen time records based on the data I collected on how much screen time each love square ship has in each episode and special and in each season exactly and now we're going to be putting that data to more practical use and using it to figure out what are the best seasons, episodes and specials for shippers of certain sides of the love square to watch when binging through Miraculous.
Adrienette
Tumblr media
You don't need to know the exact screen time for Adrienette in every season to know that season 5 is the best season for Adrienette shippers to watch. Not only is it the season with the most Adrienette screen time, but it's also the season where Adrienette finally becomes canon which is yet another plus.
For episodes that feature particularly large amounts of Adrienette screen time you can look to "Gamer" (6 min 28 sec) in season 1; "Riposte" (4 min 14 sec), "Gorizilla" (4 min 11 sec) and "Frozer" (4 min 10 sec) in season 2; "Oblivio" (9 min 3 sec) and "The Puppeteer 2" (4 min 27 sec) in season 3; "Mr. Pigeon 72" (2 min 23 sec), "Psycomedian" (2 min 19 sec) and "Simpleman" (2 min 8 sec) in season 4; and "Determination" (4 min 46 sec), "Transmission" (4 min 49 sec) and "Protection" (4 min 19 sec) in season 5.
In terms of Miraculous World specials, you're best bet is the New York Special which has 7 min 40 sec of screen time which has the whole storyline of Marinette trying remain friends with Adrien.
Ladynoir
Tumblr media
Really you can pick any season since Ladynoir dominates all of them but the best season for Ladynoir shippers would be season 1 which not only has the most Ladynoir out of all the seasons but also has that classic Ladynoir dynamic I've seen certain Ladynoir fans crave in the later seasons: fighting villains and just being a dynamic duo in general, Cat Noir making the puns and Ladybug getting annoyed with him, those kind of stuff.
For episodes with particularly high amounts of Ladynoir check out "Stormy Weather" (6 min 7 sec), "Mr. Pigeon" (6 min 10 sec), "Horrificator" (6 min 8 sec), "Kung Food" (7 min 3 sec), "Animan" (8 min 28 sec), and "Volpina" (6 min 7 sec) in season 1; "Prime Queen" (8 min 19 sec), "The Dark Owl" (8 min 14 sec), and "Mayura" (8 min 32 sec) in season 2; "Reflekdoll" (7 min 19 sec), "Timetagger" (6 min 22 sec), and "Cat Blanc" (6 min 35 sec) in season 3; "Truth" (4 min 4 sec), "Psycomedian" (5 min 40 sec), "Furious Fu" (4 min 57 sec), "Kuro Neko" (7 min 23 sec), and "Strikeback" (4 min 14 sec) in season 4; and "Evolution" (7 min 50 sec), "Multiplication" (7 min 36 sec), and "Passion" (7 min 4 sec) in season 5.
In terms of Miraculous World specials, you can go for the New York special which has 6 min 29 sec of screen time and gives us some good Ladynoir angst with Cat Noir betraying Ladybug's trust and feeling so guilty about that he gave up his Miraculous.
Maricat
Tumblr media
For Maricat, the season of you're choice would be season 4, even though most of the screen time there is concentrated in "Glaciator 2". This season even has the episode with the most Maricat screen time in all of the show so far, that is, "Glaciator 2".
Episodes with particularly high amounts of Maricat screen time include "Evillustrator" (2 min 17 sec) and "Gamer" (54 sec) in season 1, "Glaciator" (3 min 29 sec) and "Befana" (36 sec) in season 2, "Weredad" (3 min 57 sec) and "Kwamibuster" (44 sec) in season 3, "Sentibubbler" (1 min 24 sec) and "Glaciator 2" (8 min 14 sec) in season 4, and "Elation" (5 min 37 sec) and "Protection" (48 sec) in season 5.
Ladrien
Tumblr media
For Ladrien shippers, the best seasons for you guys to watch are seasons 2 and 3, moreso season 2, where Ladrien was at the peak of its screen time until it dwindled into nothingness in seasons 4 and 5.
For episodes with a particularly large amount of screen time we have "Simon Says" (1 min 22 sec) and "Volpina" (1 min 23 sec) in season 1, "Riposte" (3 min 42 sec) and "Gorizilla" (3 min 58 sec) in season 2, "Oblivio" (1 min 40 sec) and "Desparada" (5 min 35 sec) in season 3, "Strikeback" (37 sec) in season 4, and "Passion" (17 sec) in season 5.
Conclusion
Well, that's it. Hope this was helpful to some love square shippers who want to binge through Miraculous.

The “Forbidden Love” between Marinette and Adrien
Tumblr media
I know this has definitely been talked about a lot, but I feel we need a little refresher of all the reasons behind the narrative that Marinette and Adrien can’t be together and why they’re not true.
Their love didn’t destroy the world
Chat Blanc was wrong when he said “it was our love that did this to the world, M’lady!” No. It was not their love that destroyed the world.
There’s this narrative the show likes to push that these two can’t be together because it’s too dangerous and it’s what destroyed the world. Marinette has continuously thought that she can’t be with Cat Noir for that reason, but she wasn’t given the full story.
Tumblr media
The line she should’ve paid attention to was this: “Things were purr-fect until Hawk Moth found out about everything. Once the cat is out of the bag, it’s only a matter of time ‘til everyone knows.”
Tumblr media
That was Chat Blanc explaining it was perfect until Hawk Moth found out, but to be fair, this is also a bit vague.
Marinette may not know the full story, because she’s not an omniscient main character and the present version of her didn’t see the timeline where they were together, but we as the audience do. There’s probably people somewhere in the fandom who stand by Marinette in thinking she can’t love Cat Noir, but it’s not true.
You know who caused the world to end? Oh that’s right, Gabriel Agreste. If Gabriel actually cared about Adrien, the love between Marinette and Adrien would’ve lasted.
In Chat Blanc, Gabriel went out of his way to end the relationship between Marinette and Adrien. He purposely did that so he could akumatize Marinette. Then, obviously, Adrien transformed into Cat Noir to save her, but of course he got caught. Yes, he should’ve been careful with that, but also, his father shouldn’t have reacted the way he did when he found this out.
If Gabriel was a good father, he would’ve had that realization that he’s been hurting his own son, having him fight all these villains. He could’ve renounced Nooroo. But nope. He’s the worst father ever and just HAD to manipulate and akumatize his own son.
Tumblr media
Fast forward to Ephemeral, Gabriel also mistakenly finds out Adrien is Cat Noir (for the dumbest reason, too!) and repeats that same behavior of manipulating and akumatizing his own son. Adrien wasn’t even jeopardizing his relationship. All he did was call Marinette “M’lady” yet he STILL had to deal with this.
Tumblr media
If Gabriel was in jail or in a coma from using too many miraculouses at once, Adrien and Marinette would have a happy relationship! He’s always the root of the problem when Adrien and Marinette tried dating. It’s never been them.
Having romantic feelings isn’t the root of the problems in their relationship as heroic partners
Additionally, in Kuro Neko, Plagg plants the idea in Marinette’s mind that Cat Noir quit just because “she doesn’t love him back,” which is not why he gave up. But, it makes Marinette think that part of them having a healthy partnership might rely on them having a shared romantic interest in each other. As if it’s not possible to have a healthy partnership if she doesn’t like him back romantically. She never learns the real reason is that he was hurt because she didn’t see him as her most important partner, despite being there since day one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, Ladybug develops some feelings for Cat Walker, and she can’t think of a plan to destroy the sentimonster because she’s so distracted by Cat Walker. This further pushes the idea that she can’t love her partner either because then she’ll struggle to focus on the task at hand.
They don’t know why they’ve kissed but they’re always reminded of the times they’ve kissed
All this aside, there’s also the kisses that happened in Dark Cupid and Oblivio. The forgotten kisses.
It wasn’t until Prime Queen that Cat Noir finds out Ladybug kissed him in Dark Cupid. Let alone, he doesn’t even know why that kiss had to happen because he completely forgot about it. Although, admittedly, Ladybug wanted to kiss him, at least a little bit, because it wasn’t necessarily something she had to do. But, again, Cat Noir will never know that.
Tumblr media
Then, in Oblivio, they both forget what happens and only see this picture of them kissing. Both of them are pulling their hair out trying to figure out how in the world that kiss happened between them. There’s no way they’ll ever be able to figure out what caused it. No one was watching them prior to.
Tumblr media
Glaciator 2 really shows how much it’s gotten to them when Ladybug gets irritated that they were voted Couple of the Year. She has Alya delete all the photos of them off the Ladyblog. Meanwhile, Cat Noir gets so hurt that he feels the need to delete his own photos of Ladybug and destroy the many posters of them scattered around Paris.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
It’s sad because these two deserve to be happy together and not feel the need to question their feelings and wonder why having a relationship would be such a bad thing. They’re constantly given these ideas that they can’t be together because it’s too dangerous and causes too many issues (including destroying the world).
Cat Noir is so in love with Ladybug, but she feels the need to push him away. And it’s not necessarily because she doesn’t feel the same way, but because she believes it’s impossible to ever be with him, and potentially risky to even just trust him. It’s so sad. Marinette shouldn’t have to feel like she can’t even trust her own partner.

I blame the translation change in the eng dub of Prime Time for the hate cat got in that episode. In English dub when he tried to lean in to kiss, ladybug said : Not a chance, kitty. While in French dub she said : It's not the time, my kitty and there's a big difference among those two sentences. In french it's clear that it's not the attempted kiss that make her annoyed, it's the timing. Hence the "not the time" while the eng dub make her harsher by rejected cat advance which make it as if he took advance of the timing to get a kiss. I can see why some people misunderstood/irritated by this episode and I only have eng dub to blame.
Yeah I heard about that dub change, and yeah that makes a difference. I think it comes back to her not realizing that Chat was serious about his feelings until Glaciator, so she just saw that leaning in for a kiss as him goofing around.

A small thing I wanted to ask: what are your plans for Prime Queen? I imagine it being a lot more interesting here because of more heroes. Like, I imagine Brawling Tiger being quite angry depending on the comment, and Canine might be offended by a question. And Solaria being so excited for it but then having her hopes destroyed by being embarrassed by some statement would also be fun.
It will be more interesting since the whole team + Solaria (Rooster Lila) will be there. So, a lot more to talk about than a non-existent relationship at that time. Plus, little talks about the rivalry between the team and Solaria.
Though, if and when Nadja starts trying to pull those tabloid moves like in canon. The team has one member who was raised to be ready to stomp down on these types of questions in Myth (Peacock Nate). The son of the owner of a high-end hotel full of celebrities. So, when the interview starts to take a bad turn because of Nadja's need for the show to succeed, such as asking highly personal life questions or showing that 'evidence', Myth ends up being the one to shut it down after seeing where it's heading.
Though, before then, I'd say any probing questions would be met with anger from Brawling Tiger (Tiger Alix), uncomfortableness or offended by Canine (Dog Sabrina) and Cat Noir, and excitement to embarrassment from Solaria. Plus, a mix of anger, uncomfortableness, and offended by Ladybug.
But, I may not go with the tabloid move and just make it a moment where Paris can get to know their teen superheroes.

Lies had issues, sure, but I respect it for being one of the few episodes where Adrien had to experience the consequences of his actions, and he couldn’t push the blame on someone else or ignore it after the fact. Last time that happened was… oh, I can’t remember a time that happened before! Haha! Bad!
Also before anyone says anything I know it’s the writers pushing the blame onto other people, not Adrien himself, he’s just a character they’re writing

ML au: Lady of Second Chances (Season 2)
(Season 1)
-So Fu introduces himself and Marinette greets him.
-Marinette had thought about this before this meeting. How much she should tell him? Should she tell him.
-After some thought, she decided she should tell him, since she never finished her training and there is more she doesn’t know.
-She tells him that she was his student and that she knows a lot, explaining the cliff notes of what happened to him and what he taught her.
-Fu was surprised and believed her because what she knew about feast and Marianne. She had to be telling the truth.
-Marinette even explained how she made the akuma charms.
-Fu asks how much if the timeline she already altered?
-Marinette explained that she is trying to keep the core events the same, but certain things that were disastrous she can change.
-Fu decides to trust her judgement, but warns her that this could be dangerous, all this knowledge. So be sure that using this knowledge it is for the betterment. Which Ladybug agrees
-First thing Marinette does is tell Fu he should go introduce himself to chat noir and explain his story.
-“he’s trust worthy and all the waiting only causes issues.”
-Fu nods that he will make time after he decides the book.
__________________________________________
-Gabriel still gets akumatized because he wanted to ensure ladybug and chat noir were off his trail.
-Gabriel never pulls adrien out of school since he had no reason to. But he makes up some bs to be mad about it.
-Ladybug tells Chat noir of her theory and just like in canon they beat collector.
-Ladybug gives Gabriel a charm so no akumatizations.
-Gabriel finds out how what the thing he gave her is and now realizes things will be tough since he can’t akumatize the same person 2 times in a row.
-Prime queen happens, but ladybug doesn’t let herself get flustered by the images this time. Ladybug leaves with much more tact and chat noir agrees that it wasn’t cool for this to be sprung on them. Though chat noir does mention he wishes he remembered the kiss.
-“Akuma involved kisses don’t count kitty.” Which Chat noir agreed that next kiss they have it will be unrelated to the akuma. Ladybug smiles and says that she agrees with that.
-Chat noir doesn’t suggest kissing plans, since after his talk with Ladybug, why would he jeopardize that? But ladybug suggests it though just like in canon, it was a fake out.
- despair bear, Gigatitan, Befana, and Frightningale are all the same. Marinette taking Fu’s advice and not altering things too much.
-Riposte has Marinette determine that Kagami won. Since she is a bit more measured around Adrien. Which prevents the akuma, but also does shift how Kagami views Adrien and Marinette. Kagami still has her confidence and doesn’t view Adrien as a flirty rival. Marinette wonders if that correction was for the right call.
-Troublemaker changes. Marinette remembers the live show and hides all her pictures in advance. Also locking her door. Troublemaker happens but Marinette doesn’t end up humiliated. Adrien does check on Marinette because her home was attacked, but it’s less embarrassing for her. Though Adrien knows cause chat noir knows.
-Gorizilla is the same but Marinette is not in her pj’s she actually bothered to change
-Sapotis, Anansi are both the same cause hero debuts
-Syren changed. Chat noir met Fu much earlier so he doesn’t have the hang up he had. Ladybug and chat noir already had the potions thanks to Marinette knowing half the recipes. Syren was beat easy
-Reverser was avoided because Marinette handled the exchange better. No misunderstandings
-Captain hardrock still happened because the reason the akuma happened was stupid. Marinette meets Luka, but after everything she remembered, she thinks just keeping him as a friend is better in the long run, plus mentally she got over him already. So it’s still awkward for her. She manages.
-Glaciator is actually avoided. So Ladybug remembered the confusion that happened over this and tells chat noir she couldn’t make it, but that they could schedule another time. Which Chat noir agrees with. So no miscommunication to be had. Adrien sneaks out to get ice cream with his friends instead of prepping the romantic dinner. Which means Adrien is there and he has ice cream with Marinette. Which also adds more to Adrien’s muddled feelings.
-Frozer doesn’t happen because After riposte, Kagami and Adrien never get that close. They fence but it’s the event of riposte that made it happen.
-Zombizou happens because it’s important for Chloé’s growth. And Marinette still thinks what bustier said was dumb. Robostus and dark owl both happen.
-So Marinette gets to the day of the fashion week. And she had to contemplate if she lets things happen as is or if she fixes it. Marinette decides to alter course. By giving the bee to Chloe. Seeing if this would help change some things.
-Bee Chloe helps and thanks to her they beat style queen. The problem this time was that Chloé didn’t want to give up the bee. Resulting in queen wasp. Just a slight alteration to the plot.
-Gabriel doesn’t give up because he picks up on the fact that the super heroine bee is going against ladybug. He could use that.
-Chloe had ditched her akuma charm as she felt she didn’t need it with her powers. And things took a turn.
-Queen wasp ends up happening and Chloe realizes ladybug is right. Apologizing, saying she just wanted to be exceptional… to make her mom proud.
-So Maledikator doesn’t happen because, due to the events of Queen wasp. Chloe never exposed herself and doesn’t try to gloat she was queen bee. So her presentation was different.
-Sandboy was basically unchanged but Marinette warned the kwami that Hawkmoth was in control and nixed the plan. So less struggle of finding the kwamis
-So this is where things shift. So Volpina didn’t happen, because Marinette intercepted early. Also, it should be noted that Marinette did tell Alya that Hawkmoth might go after Lila if he saw that interview. Which Alya agreed and took it down.
-Marinette is still annoyed with Lila’s lies. But right now she’s harmless.
-Lila never got akumatized and has no hatred for ladybug or chat noir. The only person she isn’t stoked on is Marinette. But like it was only one interruption. So Lila doesn’t think much of it. I guess she sees how popular the heroes are and gets jealous. So Hawkmoth akumatizes her. To get the events going. (And for the sake of laziness, I say sure)
-Hawkmoth had Catalyst make it so he could akumatize a bunch of people. AND ignore the charm. Which because work arounds. It worked.
-Ladybug does assemble her team. But here is the big question. (Which I leave up to you all)

This is exactly the kind of fucked up murder-based period marriage I am here for. God, so fucked up, so glorious. I can only imagine how much mdl hates this drama and it fuels my glee train like nothing else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is prince dude great husband material? Between a large harem, a penchant for murder and torture of those displeasing him, marital assault, and a very fucked up relationship with the truth, nope nope nope, I'd rather marry a tree or become a nun. But I am metaphorically weeping tears of unabashed joy to finally finally finally, for the first time since probably early 2021, having a period cdrama ml who comes across as someone who actually could fit into a period royal family and not a modern man in costume - of course he will kill those who offend him and not blink, of course he will lie and manipulate as means of advancement and survival, of course he wouldn't know normal relationships if they bit him, his biggest offer of love to a lady is making her prime consort (what is that only spouse business you mention?! are you insane?!) and he is quite happy to have knocked up multiple wives at once. The wonder isn't that a period royal forced his concubine when she didn't want to have sex with him but that he refrained from doing so for six months and feels bad afterwards and I love love love love that this narrative actually gets that this dude is not a contemporary dreamboat but a fucked up representative of a very different time and place.

A job vs a second life
Tumblr media
I always find it so fascinating how Marinette treats her hero life as more of a job vs Adrien who treats it as a completely different life. Let me break it down for you:
Marinette
Marinette didn’t want to be Ladybug in the first place, because she didn’t believe a clumsy girl like her could save Paris. And sadly, she still lacks that faith in herself especially with the new heavy responsibility of being guardian that was placed on her.
Also notice in how much she’s overworking herself, especially in the beginning of season 4. Her pushing her friends away to focus on being Ladybug reminds me of someone who has a poor work-life balance. She couldn’t properly balance between talking and spending time with friends. Similar to as if she was turning into a workaholic.
Tumblr media
Additionally, Ladybug doesn’t like the spotlight that is shined on her and Cat Noir. Parisians try to treat them as if they’re celebrities as well as heroes. But, Ladybug sees this as her job - she doesn’t care about being a celebrity. She really got riled up about all this in Prime Queen and Glaciator 2. She had no interest in doing the interview, and hated that her and Cat Noir were voted “Couple of the Year.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also notice how she didn’t make a conscious effort in Copy Cat to actually remember to go to the debut of the hero statue. I know it’s in her nature to be a bit forgetful, but she wasn’t really all that enthused to go.
It wasn’t until Dark Owl, we actually see Ladybug and Cat Noir spending some quality time together, just talking as friends. And, fast forward to the beginning of season 4, Cat Noir makes an effort to talk to her and take her to the movies, which she actually agrees to. Then, they also go swimming (her suggestion). It may have been moreso to distract her from the stress she was dealing with, but it’s her finally embracing Ladybug as her 2nd life and not just her job.
Tumblr media
Part of why she also denies having feelings for Cat Noir because she doesn’t necessarily want to be in love with someone who’s her partner in her job, and it’d be giving the people what they want to see. She doesn’t want being Ladybug to be her second life, yet it kinda became that as she started having some feelings for Cat Noir and she was forced into being the guardian. It’s a lot of work and drama that keeps affecting her civilian life.
She doesn’t like having to lie to her own friends and family about what she does, because she feels it shouldn’t have to be lied about, but this notion has been pushed by Master Fu that it’s the only option. She wants peace in her civilian life, but she has to keep thinking of ridiculous lies simply to hide the fact that she’s Ladybug. And because she was told she can’t, she’s a stickler about this with Cat Noir as well, similar to a boss who’s very strict when it comes to work policies.
Overall, she takes her job seriously and doesn’t want any shenanigans. It’s her job, she didn’t want it in the first place, but she wants to get it done and she feels good once she accomplished what she needed to.
Adrien
Adrien was so quick to jump into his role as Cat Noir because it’d be an escape from his terrible home life - Plagg flat out told him that, too. He likes being seen as this different person and having the freedom to do what he wants, considering his “normal” life is him being neglected, stuck at home, and forced into being a model. It’s a perfect example of escapism - the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities.
I’m glad Cat Noir learned how bad Ladybug was struggling, but she has yet to learn that this position is Cat Noir’s escape. He yearns to feel important and wanted for that very reason, not entirely because he’s in love with her like Kuro Neko tried to tell us.
The biggest thing is how different he acts as Cat Noir. It’s a part of him he doesn’t get to show in his everyday life. As Cat Noir, they don’t know he’s Adrien Agreste, so he can have as much fun and freedom as he wants, being this totally different character.
Tumblr media
Take notice to how different his costume makes him look in comparison to Ladybug’s. He changed his eyes and hairstyle, and his mask makes his nose look a bit more pointed. Vs Ladybug whose design is much simpler - she looks much more similar to her civilian self. Adrien wanted to really hide who he is, even physically.
Additionally, Adrien does not like the insane fans and spotlight he has as a model. However, as Cat Noir, it’s a different. He likes the thrill of getting to be a different person when the mask is on. He’s respected a lot as Cat Noir and has some fans here and there, but it’s completely different than the crowd he has to deal with as Adrien. He’s the faithful partner of Ladybug, and although he’s just as important for their missions, there’s a bit more spotlight on Ladybug than there is on him. Notice how in Strikeback, the Parisians keep chanting “Ladybug!” but not “Ladybug and Cat Noir!!” or “Our heroes!”
Tumblr media
Also keep in mind, the attention Cat Noir does get as a “celebrity” is the kind of attention he wants. Him and Ladybug’s hot gossip is that they’re a couple, which obviously isn’t true, but Cat Noir is in love with her and he likes that a lot of other people see the chemistry they have. I mean, for Christ’s sake, both the Parisians and us as an audience see all these kisses between them (I know Adrien salters give him a hard time but c’mon now. He’s constantly teased just as much as we are.) Overall, his time as Cat Noir is also time well spent with Ladybug.
Tumblr media
Like I had mentioned in the section about Marinette, he also tries to get her to hang out with him as a friend. He wants Ladybug to be more relaxed instead of so uptight. He also hopes their friendship develops more, which then will blossom into a romance between them.
As a whole, Cat Noir takes his position as his Cat Noir seriously, but not for the same reason Ladybug does. For him, it’s an escape into a different life and much less of a job. He provides Ladybug with a lot of support and comic relief, and he has a wonderful time doing that. Anytime she pushes him away, it destroys what he feels is his purpose.
Tumblr media
You can give Cat Noir crap for taking it seriously in that sense, and respect Ladybug for being more serious, but Ladybug and Cat Noir need each other to balance out how they handle their own roles.

Rewatching ML Season 2
The Collector: When Ladybug says she thinks Gabriel is Hawk Moth, Chat Noir is taken aback, but rather calm. Ladybug is shocked when Chat Noir suggests that the Collector could make Adrien disappear, while Chat’s expression says that he believes it’s totally possible. Gabriel lets Adrien go to school again and Adrien hugs him.
Prime Queen: Chat Noir purrs when Ladybug is close.
Glaciator: Poor Adrien, his father makes him wait for him at that big table and then doesn’t let him leave the house. Marichat on the balcony! I believed Marinette didn’t take Chat Noir’s declarations of love seriously, so it’s nice to have it confirmed. She must have thought he’s like that with many girls and now she knows he’s really in love with her. I like how sincere they are with each other at the end.
Despair Bear: Adrien stands up for Marinette when Chloé accuses her of being responsible for the false alarm. He is again annoyed with Chloé and threatens to end their friendship. Chloé does something good, but for the wrong reasons. Marinette and Adrien are dancing. Chat Noir is AGAIN possessed by the villain.
Troublemaker: Adrien is so happy to see Marinette on TV. Poor Marinette, everyone can see her hundreds of photos of Adrien and he’s so shocked. Chat Noir again uses his good hearing. Marinette friendzoned herself.
Gigantitan: Gabriel tries to reason with a baby, he couldn’t have been an involved father when Adrien was little. Chat Noir says he’s a great singer and promises to sing Ladybug a song.
Riposte: Hi, Kagami! Was she sent to the fencing class to impress Adrien? Ladrien scenes. Adrien saves Ladybug, forgetting that he isn’t invincible when he isn’t transformed. He says he doesn’t like being locked.
Befana: Marinette resorts to lies when she’s afraid the truth might hurt someone. Short Marichat scene. Chat Noir says Marinette must be a very cool girl. Ladybug joins Chat Noir in singing. Adrien says he’s always carrying Marinette’s lucky bracelet and gives her one that he made himself. I wonder what the chicken bead is supposed to mean.
Frightningale: Adrien tells Chloé that everyone in the queue should have a chance. He’s impressed with her skills, but is not thrilled to work with her.
Gorizilla: Gabriel again suspects that Adrien is Chat Noir. (Gabriel, haven’t you heard him yell ‘PLAGG, CLAWS OUT!’ every now and then?) Adrien wants to ask his father if he could go to the cinema, but Gabriel doesn’t have time for him. Adrien hates being famous and is still carrying Marinette’s lucky bracelet. Adrienette and Ladrien scenes. Adrien notices that Marinette repeats words from the perfume advertisment and isn’t sure what to make of it. Adrien’s falling from the skyscraper and Gabriel in the last moment orders Gorizilla to release Ladybug to save Adrien (though his first impulse was to wait until Adrien transforms, risking his death). Ladybug says she trusts Chat Noir and Adrien is happy. Gabriel watches the film with Adrien. At the end for the first time we see dead Emilie in the glass coffin from afar.
Robostus: Adrien knows Morse code. Master Fu explains that when you have both Ladybug earrings and Cat ring, you can make a wish, but comes with a price—you exchange your wish for something opposite.
Sapotis: Marinette has a DVD with “Ladybug PV”. Chat Noir flirts with Rena Rouge.
Syren: Chat Noir is fed up with being left in the dark. Ladybug not trusting him seems to be his biggest concern. He threatens to give up the ring for the first time. He finally meets Master Fu.
Dark Owl: Ladybug and Chat Noir trust each other so much that they can detransform in front of each other, having their eyes closed.
Zombizou: Chat Noir sacrifices himself AND is possessed by the villain. Chloé sacrifices herself fo Ladybug, but without Ladybug she would be caught, so it isn’t entirely selfless. Later she is vulnerable and sincere with Ms Bustier.
Captain Hardrock: Gabriel wants Adrien to play the piano perfectly. No one is surprised that he is grounded again. Hi, Luka! Adrien asks his father to play the piano with him, Gabriel lets him go to his friends, Adrien hugs him.
Frozer: Chat Noir has a romantic fantasy involving Ladybug and a hamster and later Marinette has a similar fantasy about Adrien. Adrien thinks about asking Gorilla, Nathalie and his father about girls, but ends up asking Marinette about Kagami. Kagami and Plagg think Adrien cares about Marinette romantically. When Marinette tells him they should go ice-skating again, he thinks she means just the two of them. She almost confesses her feelings to him, but ends up friendzoning herself again.
Reverser: Terrified Chat Noir is hilarious.
Style Queen: Gabriel, why are you surprised that Adrien fell victim to your Akumatised villain? Have you thought it through? Nathalie is not happy about it at the end. Chloé is worried about Adrien. Short Ladrien scene.
Queen Wasp: Gabriel has some regrets about putting Adrien at risk. Nathalie hugs Gabriel. Gabriel hugs Adrien publically. It’s the first time he appears publically after Emilie’s death. Chloé is abused, but it doesn’t excuse her acting like a villain and pretending to be a hero.
Malediktator: Chloé gives a ridiculous presentation, but the class shouldn’t bully her for that. Adrien is the only one who doesn’t laugh and later isn’t happy when Chloé’s leaving Paris. Adrien says that she was his only friend when he was little and didn’t leave the house. (When exactly did problems in his family start?) Thanks to Adrien Marinette decides to give the Bee Miraculous to Chloé and give her a second chance. Chloé admits that she hurt her father. Chat Noir is AGAIN possessed by the villain. My Disney+ must have a wrong order of the episodes, because Alya mentions Carapace.
Anansi: Adrien says his father is overprotective and hopes it’ll change. Hi, Carapace, here you are. Chat Noir is a bit worried about being replaced by other superheroes, but Ladybug reassures him he’s irreplaceable.
Sandboy: Nightmare Adrien is both scary and funny. Poor Adrien’s nightmare is being locked out without escape. Chat Noir saves Ladybug, how romantic. I love that bad Ladybug always gets this crazy, enormous weapon.
Catalyst: Lila returns! I think that Alya can’t see through Lila’s lies, because she’s too focused on Marinette’s crush on Adrien.
Mayura: I must agree with Chloé that Hawk Moth’s outfit is ridiculous. Nathalie wants to help Gabriel so much that not only does she let herself be Akumatised, but also she risks her life by using the Peacock Miraculous. Gabriel is shocked by this. At this point he still seems to care about Adrien and Nathalie to some extent. Adrien says that Marinette is their school Ladybug. (Will Adrien ever be called their local Chat Noir?)
A Christmas Special: Snow, songs and that terrible old man in a red suit. Gabriel’s gone mad and thrown a Christmas party. More serious observation: Adrien openly talks sings about his pain and anger.
Miraculous World: Shanghai: ‘Did Jet just die?’ moment, Hawk Moth edition. Chat Noir too, but it isn’t as surprising.

When the ml first started I didn't really have any strong opinions towards Adrien, like I didn't hate but I also didn't love him I was just kind of neutral towards him. But I feel like as the show has gone on it just ruined any chance of me liking Adrien, with season 4 being the killing blow and kuro neko being the final nail in the coffin (while also taking a hit at my liking of plagg). Do you also feel the same way?
Yeah, for the most part.
Early s1 days, I liked Adrien more than Marinette, though that's because Chat was charming and funny. And Marinette was very cringe with her crush.
But I started to think of a life swap and clicked for me that Marinette was the more interesting character between the two. Remove Adrien’s sad life and tie to the plot, he didn’t have much reason to be a lead, but everything with Marinette was fascinating to think about. So Adrien I started to feel more neutral towards while liking Marinette a little more.
S2, I was neutral-like to Adrien. But then Prime Queen came out and his repeated efforts to try and kiss LB despite her clear and repeated no rubbed me wrong. Despair Bear didn’t help and I started to like Adrien less.
Glaciator, I was passed at him. Syren elevated that to outrage.
Malediktator was the final nail in the coffin. That was when I officially jumped ship from Adrienette and haven't touched the ship sense.
