i totally get how season 5 isn't everyone's cup of tea and that's totally fair and i understand!! however. i just can't relate because this is just so balls to the walls crazy that i am so endlessly entertained

lila stole all of the agreste lore from nathalie and also has been wearing a wig this entire time. felix snapped the entirety of earth away. chloe became the fucking mayor and then had an emotional breakdown sobbing alone when she lost it. kagami and felix having a random cringe (/positive) whirlwind romance like the two sheltered awkward teens they are. adrien and marinette kissing on the steps of a private jet in a dramatic emotional moment. ADRIEN had the coveted chat blanc nightmare in a sandboy adjacent akuma. adrien just is Cursed with endless nightmares now (and rose and juleka????) and lives in a sensory deprivation chamber. marinette knows all the senti lore now and was told via the most theater-kid interpretive perfomance art hallucination ever?????????

and i am LIVING for all of it. i am SO ENTERTAINED.

I was watching 'Revelation' and I noticed something interesting

If you look closer at Adrien's lunch tray, you can see something very peculiar included in his meal choices

There's a whole large stack of camembert just sitting there on his tray, just out in the open for his friends to see, and being as how it has been inferred that Adrien doesn't like Camembert, this must be so confusing for them to watch.

Just imagine the bewildered and baffled faces of Marinette, Nino, and Alya as Adrien piles on the cheese onto his platter, only for him not to touch it and then surreptitiously toss it all into his backpack.

Okay, but the fact that Adrien was glaring at Lila the entire time she was talking to Marinette??? Vindication from the animation error in Chameleon!

Okay but

Leaving to a side the cute adrienette moment going on here, I truly can't get over what Marinette says here.

"Sometimes the good we think we see in some people is just a reflection of our own. And we end up being fooled by our own kindness"

I think I've never heard something so true being said in this show (or in any animated series), and i think they've addressed it in a very good way.

Like

It's okay to give people another chance, if you truly feel like they deserve it and decide in your heart to give it to them. It's not a bad thing to see the good in other people, no matter what. It's not bad to hope that people change for the better or even willing to help them with that. But you must be careful of course, because (and just like Marinette says) you can end up being fooled by your own kindness. You can be taken advantage of. You can end up getting hurt or damaged in any way. So you must pay good attention to who you're giving another chance.

Of course Marinette understands this, as the sweet and kind soul she is, not just as a civilian, but also -of course- as Ladybug, always fighting for what she thinks it's the best, and giving people second chances, if they prove that they deserve it. She always does her best to help people.

By the way, i think they SHOULD give lila the butterfly miraculous. I think it would be funny. Tired of watching Rich White Man TM use it to traumatize teenagers in uncreative ways and be upset about his divorce. (Even though it is very funny.) I want to see someone with the malice that only a fourteen-year-old girl can hold in her heart use it to have fun. I want to see it be used, not to try and lure ladybug and chat noir out so that a wish can be made, but literally just to be annoying and cause problems on purpose. I think this would be funny for me specifically

stayed up super late to binge the episodes last night so i got little to no sleep and the bags under my eyes are as dark as gabriel's future and as heavy as adrien's emotional state will be when he finds out that not only is he a sentibeing but felix and kagami are as well. the heavily-applied concealer under my eyes cannot disguise the fact that i have spent the last 13 hours doing nothing but letting my brain be infected by the Blorbo Disease. i am at work rn unable to function as a normal human being because adrien and marinette are Dating and in love. felix sang a little ditty and sobbed on a rooftop alone after snapping his sentisister out of existence. adrien changed into pajamas to make marinette more comfortable and they had a picnic date and almost kissed. they tell each other they love each other so freely. zoe is gay as fuck has a big fat crush on marinette. and best of all, gabriel is finally decaying into a crispy necrosis-fueled death. i am so normal (violently screaming) about it all. i cannot drink enough coffee to fight past the exhaustion but the Bug and Cat Show Blorbo Love will be enough to sustain me for a lifetime
