Another fantasy au. This time, magic is illegal, and the punishment for being a mage is a painful death. Milo and Melissa have been raised by their mage parents, while Zack was born to humans and raised in human society to hate mages.

I am still thinking about the Pokémon AU I just mentioned but I somehow have more ideas for the PNF characters so here they are (take these with a grain of salt, I am not nearly as knowledgable about PNF as I am for MML)

Phineas & Ferb are the leaders of one of the very last gyms in the region (Psychic type) and are fully capable of being champions but choose not to go that far because they prefer to battle together instead of against each other.

Candace chooses to have a team full of Pokémon she thinks are cute, but would definitely try to catch something scary (like an Ursaring) to impress Jeremy. She’d fail at catching it but still impress him anyway.

Isabella is a rival for Phineas & Ferb, but mainly Phineas (though he prefers to battle alongside Ferb, he is fine with battling someone by himself, but he won’t battle Ferb unless it’s for practice purposes). She’d have a really strong team, tying with Baljeet for the strongest team of the backyard gang aside from Phineas and Ferb. None of them have ‘weak’ teams per se, but still.

Baljeet has a perfectly crafted team with specific stats and whatnot. I can see him with a pseudo legendary, but I’m not sure what type team he would have.

Buford has a Fighting type team, no elaboration needed.

I picture the OWCA agents as humans in this AU mainly because there is no platypus Pokémon. Anyway, for obvious reasons, Perry has a Water type team. I feel like his ace would be Greninja.

As opposed to Perry’s well crafted team, Doof’s team consists of Pokémon you’d typically catch very early on in the games. He is not good at catching or stealing without the use of inators, but building a specific team would take too much work that he could use for said inators.

Vanessa would have a Dark type team. I can specifically imagine Mightyena, Absol, and Umbreon on her team.

the champions au

@fairytalepsuedonym​ you did not miss anything, I’ve only talked about the champions au (I’ve been calling it the warlock au until I came up with an actual name that didn’t make it obvious how much I’m ripping off dnd here)  in a discord server and in someone’s tumblr dms, and I’ve not posted anything for it.

so Cav, Dakota, Savannah and Brick are very powerful, very ancient immortals. But they’re also confined to specific areas, so if they wanna do stuff outside of those areas they need to make deals with humans to make them their champions. 

A few centuries ago, they each had champions, and that was fine until Cav’s champion decided “fuck You” and stole a magic artefact and created the pistachions. That champion got beaten and the pistachions were locked away in the earth, but not actually killed.  timeskip, it’s present day, and Milo and co are just existing. Everything is basically how it is in canon, until weird stuff starts happening. Melissa makes some connections, does some research, and finds Savannah. They make a deal, so Melissa is Savannah’s champion.  

Dakota watches for a while until he decides he wants Zack, as Zack is selfless and unlikely to choose to become powerful, and therefore unlikely to misuse his power. He does not exactly give Zack a choice in this (The immortals are definitely somewhat morally grey) and basically pressures him into agreeing.  Mort already knew about the immortals being real and still existing (most people think that they’re a myth) because the knowledge was passed down in his family. He seeks out Brick and becomes his champion

Milo becomes Cav’s champion by accident, because of Murphy’s Law, and Cav can’t take it back. Neither of them wanted it. Cav specifically wanted a strong, heroic champion to make up for his previous error in judgement, and is very unhappy to be stuck with a little kid. He does eventually realise that he got a pretty good deal out of it.  They have to save the world, cue angst

This exists 50% because I love dnd warlocks (despite having never played any lol, I’m a wizard main with a side of artificer), and 50% because I was imagining the song “warrior of the mind” with Melissa and Savannah
