Welp, seems time to adress something, I didn't read everything because I am so god damn tired about the drama. And I know it's full of nonesence anyways. I'm not lying about what happened, I do have evidence for it. Why haven't I shared it? Well because due to it involving multiple people and discord dms I have to comb trough almost 2 years worth of stuff to grab anything relevant because the search function doesn't pick up everything. But I also have a life so I'm not able to work 24/7 on it. Nor am I going to. it's said I am accusing Magpie, who had one of their friends write a call out on me and gave screenshots of our private conversations only to purposefully leave out messages or context to make me look bad, was a-okay with letting their friends stalk and harass me, oh also doxx me c: falsely accuse me and others of things we didn't do. But I know they're not going to admit they lied about me. Because that'd mean admitting they did something bad and they aren't going to do that. I have valid reasons to dislike them. And Talisman is blowing shit up, I'm not talking about how much I hate magpie 24/7, but I also won't hide why I dislike them. And why I don't want their content in MY server, it's why I don't want their friends in MY server. Funny, I was promised nothing bad would happen if I kicked their friend from my server, but lo and behold. I'm painted as a bad guy for *checks notes* having boundries. Anyways to proof I DO have evidence, here is a little sneak peak for you. Important to note, this was before Magpie went by He/They hence the use of she/her. context: This is about the BS 'call out' and their friends stalking me and some other people.

I promise this isn't intended to be hurtful at all- just some constructive criticism of your argument. You don't have to respond to this if you don't want. You don't even have to read this- you can just toss it into the trash bin. But I really hope that, if nothing else, this will help you make some stronger arguments in the future.

When Luz says Hunter is family, the implication there is that SHE views him as family. When Camilla says she's a mother of six, that only means that SHE views them as her children, not that they view her as their mother or each other as siblings (sans Luz, who, as pointed out, DOES seem to think of Hunter as sibling-like.) I fully agree that people who argue for Luz and Hunter being siblings, full stop, is a little bonkers, and people who push that argument are a bit drunk with the power of canon and need to work on interpreting things a little more critically. But canonically, Luz's feelings for Hunter are platonic.

That said, ship whatever the fuck you want. I'm not your mom. I personally don't get Lunter, but you seem to like it, so more power to you. There's a whole world of canon divergence and AU out there and I truly, genuinely hope that the ship brings you more smiles and happiness than headaches.

Lastly, if you've been subjected to any sort of bullying or anti-ness or what have you over shipping, I'm sorry. That fucking sucks- I've been there. I've received death threats and hate mail over ships. I've witnessed amazing artists and talented fic writers bullied into erasing all their works and social media accounts entirely. It just hurts, plain and simple. But trying to fight fire with fire and using these "gotcha!" arguments just perpetuates ship wars and leaves everybody feeling raw.

Hi! I appriciate you're being so polite, now I do want to point out, it's not really supposed to be an argument. See anti Lunters harass people who ship them because "They're siblings! It's an incest ship!" (and more things) and use the line in TTT where Luz says he's like family to her as evidence that they are "canonically siblings" when they are not. Now as mentioned in TTT Camilla calls herself a mother of six, which you can say is similar as what Luz says to Hunter later in the episode. So, it's not so much an argument as simply pointing out that using what Luz said as 'proof' is just nonesence when you apply the same logic to other instances, which anti lunters pretty much ignore entirely. I hope that makes sense! And thank you very much, I needed to hear that! It's always a releive to see people agree that harassing others over fiction is stupid

It’s nice to see people view Lumity (and also the other writing stuff and plot points) in a more critical light, and not acting like everything about the show is “flawless, 1000/10 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥💯”.

This show can and it does have amazing writing, but it would be stupid to act as if it doesn’t have a few moments where it slightly trips or fumbles completely.

"But it's all Disney's fault they cancled the show!" I know and I also know it influenced things, I won't deny it didn't. But the main thing is the crew was well aware since early S2A that the show was going to get cut short, so they knew how much time they'd have to wrap things up! I can forgive things like the plotline of Luz helping BQ find who her previous owner was being dropped or the relationship between Matt and Steve being halfbrothers unexplored, those aren't important to the overal story. But they left out such big things, hate him or not there is no denying Belos had a big part in spearheadding some big plot events, hell his backstory is what kindled 99% of the plot to start with! The fact it was teased ever since Yesterday's lie, the fact we see Belos go dellusional and seeing ghosts of his past. Only for it to lead nowhere is infuriating to say the least. Dana didn't like writting Belos, cool. Then she could've just sucked it up or have someone else write him for her. I'm fully convinced that's why we got so much half assed nonesense in S3, Dana didn't want to write her villain properly so she just threw in whatever else she could to avoid writing him as much as possible. And as a writer that is bad practice, there were multiple ways for her to just write Belos off as being a one note villain from the get go but that didn't happen. His backstory was made WITH the cut in mind, people compliment Dana for subverting tropes but she's not that great at it in all honesty. Given this was her first time as show runner too I'll admit I'm not quite intrested what else she'll come up with. The crew isn't that great at writing romance if you ask me, they are great at writing friendships however, maybe that is why Willuz/Lunter feel more like a ship than any of the canon ships we've got. I loved seeing Gus and Hunter interact too as well as Willow and Gus, makes me think maybe TOH would've been better off if we had no romance in it maybe but it is what it is sorry for the long post nonnie!

Can you elaborate on the assertion that the cancellation of The Owl House is not the only reason behind the show's issues (namely poor writing choices)?

I think a prime example of this is, Hunter, he gets a LOT of flack thrown his way. And the crew has admitted to doing this just because it's easy to torment him

Hunter getting possesed by Belos and Flapjack getting killed was really not neccesairy but guess they wanted to kick him around one last time before realizing they should give him a happy ending so hamfisted him getting a girlfriend and dadius. I posted this on another proship blog but I thought the mods would appreciate it, but every time someone calls Lunter incest, I want to make an au where Camilla marries Alador or Odelia (there brains would implode). Having Lumity become step siblings just to spite them and the reason they break up. Then when they ask why I don't ship Lumity I point to the AU and say I don't ship Incest.

5.) Ship you don't think it all that problematic, but the rest of your fandom hates? Lunter, really there isn't ANYTHING wrong with this ship but everyone hates it so much! I blame it on the biphobia tbh. Some usual arguments I see: "But they have an age gap!" Of 2 years...So does Willow, yet I don't see anyone complaining about that. And yes, I know Willow turned 15, so did Luz. "But they're siblings!" Uhm what??? No, they're not. Not literally and not in the adopted sense, "But they have a sibling like relationship!" siblings can have many differerent dynamics, some see their BFFS as a sibling, some siblings don't get along at all. You catch my drift "But Luz says the thinks of him as family in TTT!" And Willow says "You're one of us now, don't forget that" in FTF, which boils down to the same thing. If you don't like Lunter because it's not your thing, cool, but it irks me so much that people use arguments that also apply to H*ntlow but ignore it when it comes to them. If you gonna hate a ship at least be consistent y'know? And biphobia as I said too, which I also sadly see tossed around a lot (For example people claiming Luz is a lesbian because she's dating Amity ew.)

This is probably a strange ask, but is it normal to have a crush on an adult character as a minor? And is it okay to ship yourself with them? Or should you create an OC/Self Insert? Is that like breaking the whole "it's all fictional" rule? I'm not very involved in any shipping communities if you could tell...

It's perfectly normal anon, I had plenty of crushes on characters twice my own age when I was a teenager. I still have crushes on characters twice my age even if I wouldn't date anyone that old irl. And no you don't have to create an oc/self insert, course if it helps you feel more at ease then go for it! Do whatever makes you feel happy anon <3

Unless tumblr decides to nuke my blog T_T they're already nuking CSA survivors for just talking about their experiences (major yikes!) Are there any problematic ships that are your NOTPs? hmmmm, I guess Huntlow, which yes is problematic, Hunter only starts falling for Willow because she presents herself as an authorative figure in ASIAS. And they keep that trend going, mean sure have Hunter run away from his authorative uncle only to give him an authorative girlfriend, good job guys! I feel bad for Willow too because she's a wonderful character but they unintentionally made her toxic towards Hunter, and she doesn't deserve that maybe it's because I've been in Hunter's position myself but it just wigs me out a lot with the way it wound up being portrayed. It also annoys me people just blame it on the show's canceling so they couldn't flesh it out properly If they had no time to properly work it out, they shouldn't have included it last minute period.

I do too, sadly that's an issue with a lot of characters, they have a lot more personality to them when they're "evil" but lose all that when they become part of the good guys. They just become goofy and nerdy. they hate amiter because Amity is canonically a lesbian, but I feel these people forget that fandom is about having fun! I remember the days people would racebend, genderbend, all that without a care in the world. Now if you do that you'll get blasted for it, even though 99% of the time there isn't anything malicious behind it(and if it is malicious then by all means tear these folks a new one), it's just for fun, or "Hey what would this character look like if they were Y instead of X?" It's harmless and doesn't affect the source material I don't really care for it because well the issue with Amity that you mentioned, but hey ship Amiter to your hearts content.
