Your grandmother has always been a little kooky, her age and deteriorating sight only amplifying this as the years go by. However you’re pretty sure this takes the cake. Looking down at the strange black puppy in her arms, you try to wrap your mind around the sight. The tiny thing seems to drip shadows, eyes a vivid glowing red, and as it sneezes, a small plume of smoke escapes it. 

“and you….want me to have…it..?” You ask cautiously, eyeing the multiple glowing eyes and the happily wagging tails. Dear god is that a split tongue? “Of course dear! Oh you’ll get along ever so well! and you could do with some company!” She says definitively, shuffling forward and dumping the squirming bundle into your arms.  You’re not sure if you want to ask where she got it, but her excitement makes you hesitant to deny her gift. Guess you have a hellhound now.
