From thumb to pinkie on photo 1:

❌ Revlon "Sorbet" - This took 4 coats and still had some slight patches. It's quite a thin formula but dried slowly. A pretty colour but I'll be parting with this one.

✅ Barry M "Mango" - This was 3 coats. It's a nice creamy formula but can look a little patchy. I'll be keeping this.

❌ Missguided "Missmatch" - This took 4 coats and again still looked a bit patchy. It's a thin formula and has a skinny brush. It looks so similar to the previous Barry M one so I'll be getting rid of it.

✅ Nine Zero Lacquer "Jack-O-Lantern Juice" - This took 2 coats for a decent coverage. You do have to place the bigger chunks of glitters but it dries pretty quickly. I like the effect so I'll be keeping.

✅ Models Own "Tropical Sun" - This took 4 coats as it is a very thin formula, it would look a lot better over a coloured base. It dried quite slowly and you can see brushstrokes a bit but I think it's pretty so I'll keep it a bit longer.

✅ Barry M "Papaya" - This is my 2nd swatch of this colour. It was 2 coats but there were still some little patches. This bottle has a wider brush than the previous one so I'll keep it.

✅ Crabtree & Evelyn "Clementine" - This was 2 coats. It went on quite well and has a very subtle shimmer to it. Definitely keeping.

✅ Rimmel "Instyle Coral" - This took 3 coats and still looked a little patchy. It does have a nice wide brush and is a thin formula. I do really like the colour though so I'll keep it for now.

❌ George (at Asda) "Peach Crush" - This was 2 coats and applied quite well. Unfortunately it has gone quite thick in the bottle so wouldn't have much use left so I will be getting rid of it.

✅ Sally Hansen "So Much Fawn" - This was 2 coats that went on nicely. It has a wide brush and a nice creamy, smooth finish. Another keeper.

I’ve spent 4 years making a thing I love. It’s called “Players”. And it’s a pop album. (Or 2?) But it’s also a world. Maybe a show. It’s inspired by the different characters of William Shakespeare plays. But really it’s about being human. And how terrifying that is. And how beautiful. And what matters. And what really doesn’t. (Most of it) Anyway. It’s nice to meet you. I look forward to getting to know you. Social media is a strange place for that isn’t it? Usually. But of late I’ve been getting letters longer than this post (whhaaattt) in my inbox ... from some new friends...and I love it. And it’s reminded me I have kindred spirits out there who have lots to say and share my love for both a sonnet and a fire beat in equal measure. That’s wild. Anyway. When your song comes on 🎭 📸 @darrenskene 🎨 @dandelgado_ Hurr : @kieronlavine Wand/Baton: #modelsown #obvs I’m gonna tell you guys a little story. *Read on if you don’t mind more than 142 characters at a time. (My comrades ❤️)... Orchestras. Classical music. It does something to me. From when I was a little girl. I’d sit with my eyes closed and imagine stories playing out in front of me. It was music I could see... escape to. Years later, having trained as a dancer, then worked as an actress I ended up making music of my own in pop. As some of you know, I was then cast as a singing goblin in #FantasticBeastsAndWhereToFindThem 🧚🏻 Before the movie came out, I was invited (very kindly) by Warner Bros to sit in on an orchestral scoring session at Abbey Road. That was a turning point for me. It was one of the best days of my life. Just being in the same room as these masters was inspirational. (#JamesNewtonHoward is a genius and the nicest man!) But then the music started and I just fell apart. I mean full Emma Thompson style sobbing. The beauty of the sound that came out of those near 100 humans, as Rowling’s detailed, magnificent world played out on the screen in front of me... was something of a drug. It lifted me. Out of my body and out of this world. And I cried, partly for joy, but also because deep down I knew I wanted to be a part of that feeling somehow. I wanted to help make people feel like that. I wanted to lift people higher and give them a world to escape to. But could you do that with pop music? Was I in the wrong game? Had I made a mistake leaving acting for music? Or did I just need to change the way I treated my music? Not quite sure (yet) what it all meant, I decided to take some time away and write. And reconnect with that part of me that just wanted to tell stories and make people feel alive. This wasn’t about writing another single. I wanted to create a whole project. A life’s work. 3 years later... “Players” is the answer to all of my questions about what I wanted to do and how. I hope I got it right for you. I really do.
