I love all your MohanAbbot baby headcannons. How about Jack being the stay at home parent and Samira being the one to go back to work? Or do they manage to both go back to work?

I think Samira takes six to eight months off initially, but eventually when she wants to go back to work, Abbot drops down to a PRN contract so he can stay at home as much as he wants. Especially because Samira's career is taking off and she's writing a book and she's speaking at conferences and getting paid to speak at other teaching hospitals and medical schools. PRN allows Abbot to travel with her so they can bring the baby along. They probably both eventually go back to 30-40 hours a week once the kid is in kindergarten or the first grade. I don't Jack is ever the type to truly retire.
