Here's a little pic of my voidsoul genasi Vacio being impresssed by Mokho's prestidigitation, which we can all agree is a pretty cool spell.

I sooo can't wait to use them in a session one day. The aberrant soul sorcerer and graviturgist wizard totally tick all my flavor boxes and I've got plans for both of them, like Mokho wanting to travel the Far Realm as an example.

Writober day 25 - Pumpkin

Pick your poison

The Jens kind

This is a peculiar kind of pumpkin, because of its uncanny resemblance to just about any other. This kind is known/preceived as a plague in the fields by farmers, only those with a trained eye or an aura user may be able to spot them out of all the others. While on the outside Jens can perfectly mesh within the others, the inside of it is nothing like any other fruit or plant. It is hollow, with a rotten color to its flesh- but with an incredibly sweet taste and smell to it.

Curse: Those who carve or consume its flesh will soon fall victim to it, this curse can take weeks until its first signs show up. It starts with a sensation of utmost loneliness, the person’s taste and smelling senses will slowly stop working. The only thing they are capable of tasting and smelling, is the Jens’ itself.

Cure: There are two possible cures to this curse, but the chances of success are just as equally abismal. One requires the person to own a Dusknoir, and allow this pokemon to carry the person to the spirit world, but they must exit the world within 24 hours otherwise they will be forever lost within it. The other one is all about finding the right person for the affected (preferably anoter one who shares the same curse), someone who they can stay together until the very end. However, they need to prove how tightly united they are to each other, they need to go to extremes with this.

The Yǎdāng kind

Picking this pumpkin is just like playing russian roulette, people are fully aware of the curse surrounding it. Yet it doesn’t seem to scare nor hinder them away from it, quite the contrary really- many people describe themselves drawn in towards it. This is a very small pumpkin, extremely delicate as well- it is naturally found near pure springs of rivers. Those who consume it, describe it carrying spicy notes to it- it has a refined taste.

Curse: The affected feels a dire need to be the center of attention, this craving only gets worse as time goes on. It drives people to to do all sorts of things- to draw a large crowd as possible, they will go to extremes for it. Oftenly leading to major accidental deaths in the process.

Cure: The curse doesn’t last that long, it is just that the chances people living that long are very small. If you have the money to spend on it- throw the affected into a psychological hospital, and keep them in there for at least 1 month with intensive isolation. Alternatively, you can try and chain the person to the bedpost- keeping them there for an entire month.

The Hordeo kind

People describe how they had foreseen finding this pumpkin in their dreams a few days prior to it. They talk about being greeted by this handsome young man, as they feast upon the seeds of the fruit rather than the flesh itself. The fruit in real life is nowhere near the size in their dreams, and also extremely lightweight. It has a distinct green dots pattern across it. The flesh itself isn’t that appetizing, but the seeds are quite savory- something extremely relaxing to chew on.

Curse: The man of the dreams show up soon after finding the pumpkin, the curse present itself as a passion- love at first sight for this entity. However it doesn’t take long for this pure feeling, turn into an obsession- which leads the affected to lose grip of themselves. Culminating with them murdering this man out of love in the most gruesome way feel like, what follows next is a similar fate for the one who committed the crime.

Cure: There is no real cure for the curse itself, nothing but some kind of prevention to it. In the dreams, when offered the seeds of the fruit- the person must consume the flesh instead.

The Gweonsu and Mokho kinds

They both may be complete and different kinds of pumpkins altogether, even found in different continents. However their curses are extremely similar to each other. Mokho is usually located on mountain terrains, inside of abandoned Dragonite nests at the Tojoh continent. Meanwhile Gweonsu is a curious fruit that growsin mangrove swamps, due to the ocean salt water in Hoenn. These pumpkins aren’t for human consumption, rather people pick them solely because of their looks and the rarity. In ancient times only nobles would pick these fruits to take home, as one of their treasured findings.

Curse: The moment the person picks this fruit up, they have set up a ticking bomb for themselves. They have just attracted to themselves, the unwanted attention of their rightful owners- who will reclaim it. Although it may not present itself at first, fortune and good things will come towards the cursed person’s way. Then at its peak- when life seems like it couldn’t possibly get anyway better, tragedy strikes as the pumpkin’s owner will have caught up to them. They will be met with a gruesome death for their crimes.

Cure: Do not remove them from their resting place, leave them the way are. Because as soon as they are picked up, there is no turning back.

I'm stuck trying to decide where my galaxy Tiefling should be. Originally he's Kublu's younger brother but I'm wondering if it meshes well.

Nonoth the dad is a soft looking, purple Tiefling with white flecks all over and is ambassador/translator for people who hire him. He's an Eloquence Bard.

Kaltari is a Tiefling who is built like a truck with muscles for days and incredible stamina and also purple. She's an Eldritch Knight and blacksmith who can create magic items and weapons.

Kublu is purple and covered in blue runes and an archaeologist who can identify almost anything ancient and decrepit or anything remotely magical and tell you what is is. He's a Runechild Sorcerer.

Then there's Mokho who's obsessed with the Astral Sea, has "nebula" patterns on his body and his curly flowing hair is covered in speckles of stardust and a crescent moon shaped horns with horn fragments floating in the gap. I plan on him being a Graviturgist
