I've read it's short for mongoloid, or as a slur for people with down syndrome. I'm not familiar with The Network, but does mongo fink have down syndrome? maybe it's part of the punk thing, you know, reclaiming slurs, punk is built on that, hence "punk". same with faggot, which he used in American Idiot since he's bi.
