4-10 1/10/2024

Okay So the 4th was rough with the fact i had to kick someone from my D&d group. No i do not wanna talk about it. 5th was meh because i was still sad but my brain and my friends said i did the right thing. 7th was hyper cause it was my friends sunday session day, i got a commission for baby booties and was also able to buy yarn for a crochet review. Yes juicy couture yarn im coming for ya!

For people who leave under a rock or dont know what im talking about for $200...Juicy Couture is an American casualwear and dress clothing brand based in Arleta, Los Angeles, California. 8th i got a Janome Hello Kitty electric sewing machine KT-35 And most of it was in japanese. Thank you home ec teacher for teaching me the basics.

9th i was able to get my FF game updated and talked about making a bridal market for drarf people like me.. Okay im learning how to sew/crochet dresses…and there are SO MANY that are in my etsy cart…i dont know where to begin..25% of them are sewing the other 25% crochet.. MOST VINTAGE!

So i decided to take baby steps with making dresses inspired by the mood fabrics catalogue and amp them up a little.. PLEASE NOTE: if you do want to buy a dress from me in the future..please note im 4'11" and my dress size alone is a 16XL cause im a curvy woman It took me a long time to find a dress form assistant in my size alone. Also HAI brides! If you see me peeking at your dresses and commenting on them.. that means i like them and want consent to use them as inspo for my dresses.. please please PLEASE take that as a compliment.

today though imm getting not only a dice mug but also a mean girls crochet/sewing diary. Im gonna fill it up so much with the coolest sewing and crochet patterns.

Days 2-3 1/3/2024

Alright im late but for a reason i was cleaning my room and today i got news that a customer whos having a baby wants me to make them a blanket. I know this song is getting the 'entitled rich brat' but to me this song i can translate with the struggles i made.

All my greatest It doesn't come for free ($500 a baby blanket and yes this is including materials+my time+the fact i dont even know if its a boy or a girl..and my clients son's wife is having triplets possibly) All my talent It doesn't grow on trees (Spent 4 years trying to pratice crocheting blankets without getting angry) Take a breather Then take it all away If the top is where you wanna stay You gotta work hard (uh-huh) To make it look it easy You gotta live fast To keep makin' that money (ooh) If you want to be as famous as me (mostly known in the hospital as that one chick that almost died....twice...) You gotta work, gotta work, gotta work Watch me work

so yesterday was happy and today is empowered. i would say im off to a good start to the year.

1/1/2024 day one: light blue

Happy new year everyone. Today is a light blue day and yes i know my yarn wont be here till later.. but im happy imm starting this on a good note.

So i decided that today we will talk about how i plan to make the blanket. So i plan to make one rose at a time in a triangle like pattern

MOOD BLANKET TIMME

Greetings friends (and therapist) and welcome to my 2024 mood blanket diary. Every day i pledge to write down each flower, its mood, why I'm feeling that mood... you name it its there.

Mood blankets are the awkward mentally disturbed cousin of the temperature blanket. The goal is to crochet (or knit) a number of rows on a blanket each day for a full calendar year. The colors used each day correspond with the mood you are feeling. Expectedly, the more colors in your palette, the more variance you get in your overall blanket.

So i have sent a few people this text:

ok so what im doing is a flower power mood blanket where 1 a day i make a flower based on my strongest mood

yellow=happy

orange=frustrated

red=rage

pink=loved

dark pink=hyper

light blue=inspired

pale blue=calm

grey/off white= tired

dark blue= depresso

light purple=confused

dark purple=fear

dark green=sick

sea green= meh

green=empowered

neon green=energizer bunny

black=blackout

So if you see me on camera crocheting flowers (i wont during the session obvi) feel free to ask about them cause my therapist told me to open up more instead of being a corked bottle

This was mostly to explain to my friends that this is my way of trying to explain EMOTIONS without going on a tangent.

Why the fuck am i making this blanket?

Over this past year i haven't been 100% myself. I haven't been 100% happy with almost anything i tried to do and i was drowning in sadness. I felt like i could do better in things like my hobbies, chores, anything really.. mom told me she almost had me committed cause of how sad i was. Which is why this year I'm committing myself not to the ward but to this blanket to make myself happier and open up more.

What is my end goal for this blanket?

My end goal for this blanket is to 95.5% some how in control my emotions. My stress, my anxiety, my overall temper.. Being bipolar sucks.

Now onto the SCIENCE!

Each flower will be 8cmx7.5cm which is English to the BACK OF MY BRAINCELLS 3"x3"

55"x60" is the minimum goal here

366 flowers+12 blockers=378 flowers in total.

Now i heard mood blankets are getting some hate.The TLDR is this, Mood blankets have fallen out of favor with many makers. Whether it’s the time commitment, the unappealing rainbow color palette or the lack of confidence in even finishing it.

So im taking it to the next level by baking A ROSE GARDEN!
