When it comes to ltm, I don't really mind either option. My impatience wants it now, but my feels want everything at once (probs so I can cocoon myself in blankets as I read it)🤭

That said, I listened to that song and it's a sad kind of soothing which in my opinion really matches ltm. If that's the vibe of the next chapters I'm sure I'll love them as much as I loved the last chapters🤗

Does Bug finally get an answer to the 'weird feelings in her chest' which all of us know what they are except her?

Also! I can really see the song 'safe and sound' by Taylor Swift with Bug. I think the lyrics and soft vocals would make all of them cry, though😗

LTM chapter fifteen is almost here! I'm finishing the last scene today but it's getting quite long so proofreading will take me a bit :( but!! I'm so excited to get it out to you guys so I'm working quick <3

it will probably be the longest chapter yet I think! originally I would have cut the last scene to put in the next chapter, but I think it fits better here (and I've already promised you guys four scenes, so four scenes you will get!! :D )

home is indeed a soothing song!! I've been searching for songs that feel like coming home to the arms of someone you love xD I needed more sweet, comforting vibes for bug's return and I think it fit well!

(and we will have to wait and see if she will ask san or yun about her little tingly feelings hehe xD she might have to wait until after reunions have been had >:)) )

Whelp, we've arrived a Yunho. I want to do this guy justice, because he's obviously one of the kingpins in this series when it comes to Bug and I want to honour that.

His name can mean a lot of things, actually. 'Yun' seems to mean 'the eldest (son)' and every word usually connected with it, like dependable, trustworthy and all that jazz. The second part of 'ho' simply means 'broad' or 'vast' or 'plentiful'.

I've taken the liberty of interpreting his name as 'to be immensely dependable and trustworthy'. I believe this sums up LTM Yunho (and irl Yunho as well tbh).

He's always been there for anyone, especially for Bug (before you ripped them apart and tore my heart out with it XD). He got hurt for her, fought his (very terrible) people for her and fought tooth and nails to stay with her.

I think he deserves some recognition and for that reason I chose the Gladiolus flower as his symbol. I think a skilled craftsman like Hwa should be able to simplify it enough to make it fit on a bow, but it's intricate enough to be Yunho's symbol.

This flower represents strength. It has a tough stem that doesn't easily waver and is very dependable. The flower also means 'sincere' which is something Yunho has been this whole time.

Even when he broke down, because he was insecure Bug never tried to follow him. A flower is still a flower after all... the stem can still bend, but with a bit of water and love it bounces right back.

I think that's the last symbol, for now! I hope you like them, dearie :)

the symbolism of the gladiolus flower for yunho fit well! however I ended up switching it with mingi for backstory reasons ;)

however! your analysis had me deep-diving into other stories and such for a symbol that would fit hopefully as well! yunho and bug were soulmates of a kind that were forcefully separated under cruel circumstances and he definitely fought like hell to stay with her (and get her back)

so! that brought me to the story of Vega and Altair :')) two star-crossed lovers who were separated in the stars after their deaths, unable to be together except once every so often -- when they can cross a bridge of magpies to be together once more <3

that's where I got the idea of the magpie :D

after that, the symbolism of magpies mating for life was a factor in that decision too xD there's some stories of a single magpie being an omen of bad luck since magpies mate for life, so one on it's own could have been parted from it's mate :(( and I thought that fit yun kind of well after he was separated from bug D':

I haven't written all of their backstory quite yet, but yunho was definitely a force to be reckoned with after he lost bug :( so I thought that symbolism fit kind of well <33

Onto our favourite fulltime healer and probably babysitter... Yeosang :)

So, Yeo's name means 'the sound that resonates from a high place'. My first thought was as simple as a music note. Like a quarter, or an eigth note. Then, I thought that might be way too simple, but the more I think about it, they more I like it!

Because what does music do? Music connects <3 And what does LTM Yeo? That guy connects!

And I mean he literally connects people. Like, he sews them back together. He's a healer, after all XD Besides the literal sense, I feel like he's one of the best at connecting the whole clan together. A healer is the center of a clan, because a clan is easily eradicated if they don't have a healer.

Just look at how quickly he managed to get close to Bug! If that ain't a superpower, I don't know what is :)

He also connected the two of us, so he broke the fourth wall without trying OR wanting to XD AND THAT'S SKILL, SISTER hahahah!

So, a music note it is... Or maybe a wave? Like a soundwave?

I really really liked the idea of music for yeo!! it made sense with his name and the way that music connects people together no matter the language/culture and everything :D it also fit him well as a healer, since he connects ppl literally and figuratively xD

(and he did connect us hehe xD breaking the fourth wall fr <3 )

when I was looking into music notes, I thought about mythology again and connected Apollo to music,, so then I was looking into him and the lyre caught my attention!

the lyre seemed to fit him well given the music connection, and the image of the lyre being a symbol of Elysian kind of fit well too!

I also really liked the symbolism of lyre's in greek mythology sometimes being made from willow trees! that intertwined REALLY well with jongho and yeosang's backstory (which one day we'll see ;)) )

THEN we have mr. traumatized the second AKA Wooyoung!

I'm pretty sure he said in some video or live that his name means 'to make a lot of friends' and it got me thinking hard. This Woo, the LTM Woo, is traumatized. He finds it hard to open up, so making lots of friends is going to be a bit of an issue.

However, finding a home in Hongjoong's clan, has healed his heart so so much. The root of their friendship, of their family, is love after all. The kind of love that heals everything or at the very least supports the heart in any way it can.

I think none of the clan would have a better fit for a heart as a symbol than Wooyoung. I truly believe that while he takes a long time to open up, he also loves the most intense out of all of them (which is also kind of a trauma-response, actually).

It may be a little bit basic, but when it comes to LTM Woo I don't think we need to make it too complicated. His past is complicated enough and if you ever get to describing his past in more detail I WILL cry, just so you know.

woo was really hard for me to brainstorm for, so this helped a lot!! the idea of a heart fitting woo was honestly perfect I think,, it might be simple but it means far more than it's simplicity :'))

when woo left his clan, he definitely was confronted with 'finding his heart' for lack of better words, so I think the heart fits him well, especially since he's now found his home <33

there will definitely be MUCH more on wooyoung and his past with san as well!

It's way too good to not read tho, so there I am ugly crying at like 2am when my alarm goes off at 5:30 and I am already consistently sleepdeprived. WHO'S NEXT! It be our boy Mingi, of course :)

So, Mingi's name means, like, 'foundation of the people/citizens'... which is way to fucking vague, but also really fucking true! Real Mings is one of my comforts in life as I know his journey (as far as he's allowed us to know) and I love to see him smiling and fooling around these last years.

LTM Mingi is kind of the same, actually. He's a gentle giant who comforts Bug by showing her he understands. He shows her an example of how things could be AND will be with enough time. Time he's more than happy to give her :)

When thinking about the foundation of people, I think of strength. Mingi is definitely a mentally strong person, but he's also one of our favourite clan's heavyweights... literally!

And what is the sturdy foundation of his people? Of his family? The very ground they walk on. The ground they've started building their very own empire on. If we take into consideration the strength and the literal foundation of their home, I think a fitting symbol would simply be a boulder :D!

I could definitely find more complicated symbols, but keeping in mind that these are TINY symbols... carved into wood... on a bow... I think they literally CANNOT be anything difficult. As much as I would love to believe Hwa is a master craftsman-- even he can't carve a symbol that tiny and make it detailed.

Unless he has some very serious mystical powers that allow him some kind of zoomy eyes better than my phone XD

I really loved the idea of a boulder sort of structure for mingi because of your logic! I almost made him a stone-archway (think like arches national park if you've ever seen photos or something!)

he's sturdy and reliable, unmoving when it comes to the safety of his family, so a stone/boulder would fit well :D

however I ended up switching yunho and mingi! after I asked my Gardener mother, she suggested I switch them because of mingi's backstory! The flower you suggested for Yunho (see a later post ;) ) was known as tributes of a sort for victors in gladiator arenas, so I thought it might fit into his backstory a lil :"))

(and hwa probably has deft hands so complicated symbols might work, but they might be a little sloppy since they're so small xD)

This whole chapter felt like coming home, like actually coming home and not the 'home' we're always told is home (aka family yada yada). This chapter made me want to legit squeal, but I was on my way to work in public transport... so that wasn't really an option🥲

Anyway, I love how she's coming around to skinship. The bond between Bug and the Ateez clan is such a wonderful thing to witness throughout these chapters and scenes😊

The way it flows feels natural and not forced which is really important when it comes to writing trauma. You really hit the spot when it comes to the doubts, the fears and the feelings that come with healing. And this chapter feels like a real turning point for Bug. Like-- it's happening, Honey, and you're in for a rollercoaster ride... but it gon' be the best rollercoaster of your life❤️

I loved the comforting scenes in this chapter, the reunions were really really sweet. The last scene was amazing. It felt really fitting to close of this chapter.

You have a way with words that's so eloquent it always makes me smile! The words and sentences flow together beautifully and not many people could pull of the shifting POVs without it being chaotic-- but you nail it everytime!

You should be proud of yourself, lovely❤️ I know I am🤗

I did see a couple of typos here and there which don't derail you from the story, at all! BUT you kind of feel like a bit of a perfectionist who'd like to know if there's a slight typo or anything, so I'm telling you anyway. I can help you filter them out (it's just 3 or somthing) or you can leave them be because most people won't notice probably🤭

the skinship is getting easier for bug! she's slowly getting there! I swear every time I write her initiating contact I have to pause cause I'm blushing and kicking my feet xD

I'm also glad the pacing is working well! I really wanted to convey that bug needs time to heal because years and years of that kind of trauma will take lots of practice and time to heal from :( luckily she has ateez at her side! they know trauma (a little too well but we'll get there and see what I mean) so they have no problems waiting for her to be ready,, also this chapter is a sort of turning point!! She's finally started to realize that she no longer has to be 'gray' and that she can just be 'bug' :"D

I'm so glad you liked the last scene! I was going back and forth whether or not to add it in this chapter SO MUCH,, but it just felt like it fit there better than anywhere??

I was thinking... his name means 'to be the center of a broad world', and what is the center of someone's world? Home. Home will always be the center of anyone's world. It can be a place, or a person, or a thing... that doesn't really matter, because it always feels like the center, of home.

Everyone found a home in Hongjoong's clan no matter who they are or what their past is. And home can be depicted by a little (camp)fire, right? Warm, protective, and a little dangerous at times.

So what if that was Hongjoong's mark on Hwa's bow? One of those little sketch/cartoon fires with the two crossing branches and a flame🔥? Just a thought, but I find it fitting❤️

I'm still thinking about what the markings of the others would be, but if you want I could let you know!

I think a little campfire would work so so well for hongjoong <33 like a hearth ya know? it fits the greek myth of Hestia a lil (tho I don't know that much about her) but the hearth is the center of the home, the protector -- like our captain <33 it fits so so well I am absolutely going to use this (if that's alright with you of course <3)

Hello, lovely! I read it, and then again, and then my brain shut down XD. It was written beautifully again🤗

The scenes and different POVs flowed together really well and the inner struggles and thoughts of someone who's been through terrible trauma really resonated with me as I've been through a lot as well.

The way the boys comforted her is how I wish I would've been comforted as well and even though I never got that, it still feels healing when you connect with a character as much as I do with Bug.

I got sucked into the story and 11k seemed to be more like 1k as the words flew by my vision and turned into a movie in my mind.

I'm really anticipating the next chapter and the reunion with the others❤️

and I'm really glad the pov's flow and don't get confusing! I always wonder if the switching will get muddled since I've taken to using some weird second person omniscient point of view but I'm rolling with it xD and also as strange as it sounds, I'm also thankful the trauma reads well. It makes me really icky in real literature when trauma is just sort of used as a plot point and never really unpacked or processed?? idk if that makes any sense but in some books I really don't like how mc's just get over it?? like take the time to process that trauma?? you just got tortured or something awful/traumatic just happened, I feel like most people wouldn't just get over it and never mention it again you know? (acotar I am looking directly at you xD ) it kind of just breaks the immersion for me since I know I would have processed it differently idk

(sorry for that rant omg)

and same :(( I think a lot of that writing ended up kind of personal tbh bc it's how I would have wanted to be comforted :') I'm so happy you can find some comfort in bug and her relationship with the boys tho <33 I'm sending hugs and good vibes your way my love <33
