Moonpaw predictions! These were fun

We don’t know anything about her so these are all canon until proven otherwise! We’re currently in a state of Shrödinger Moonpaw.

My Changing Skies Predictions : D

Leafstar going blind will be treated as a fate worse than death.

Squirrelstar will be constantly mocked by the narrative and characters alike. Thunderclan will lament that Bramblestar was a much better leader.

While making reasonable decisions, Skyclan treats Leafstar like Squirrelflight was treated as interim leader during TBC.

Moonpaw is a Nightsun baby. She'll get along with and admire Nightheart, but resent and have a difficult relationship with Sunbeam.

Events from past arcs will be brought up in an attempt by the Erin Hunter Collective to show that they totally know their stuff. All of these callbacks will be entirely superficial.

Tigerheartstar's characterisation will change on a whim.

Windclan won't get to do anything. Whistlepaw is mentioned exactly once.

At some point the narrative makes it clear that the writers think Tawnypelt joined Shadowclan after Tigerstar died.

At least one of the three POV characters has barely any plot material. Despite this, they still get equal screen time with the other two characters.

Moonpaw is a medicine cat apprentice. She struggles with horrific things happening to her constantly, and a connection she once thought was to Starclan turns out to be to something much darker. She ends up ostracised because everyone around her doesn't believe her for arbritary reasons.

Starclan do terrible things. One of the morals of the arc is that Starclan is still the most important part of Clan life.

The only thing that is destroyed by Twolegs is the Moonpool. They find a new one (with Tawnypelt or Leafstar sacrificing their lives so it can be found). This restores the status quo.

One of the Erin Hunters declares that they believe wholeheartedly in Starclan and have decided to found the first IRL Moonstone.

changing skies predictions but im overdramatic and mean about them:

avos rehash of the ugh kids these days dont respect anything plotline but even worse, now with tawnypelt instead of her cringe husband

this will be the only allusion to avos. twigbranch and violetshine will sink deeper into background character hell. sorry avos protagonist enjoyers, the authors genuinely dont seem to gaf about them

the authors getting really mad that people like tigerheartstar so theyre going to make him an unreasonable antagonistic figure again.

probably squirrelstar too because she is now being subjected to the Leaders Curse

shadowsight is going to be alluded to but despite having such clear parallels to the main character he probably won't play a main part apart from someone calling him a dumb fuck for being manipulated

someone dies from being caught in the dynamite explosion that will hopefully blow up the moonpool forever. this cool death should go to some character that is old and that i like. however, i wish death upon those i dont like

leafstar going blind and it tying into her clan questioning her capacity to lead........is anyone else kind of bracing themselves for the worst here?

man. is this a tbc rehash but worse? guys tbc was great, you fixed the ashfur problem! you don't have anyone else to do that with unless you're about to do some bizarre retconning.

tbc but with moonpaw and uh mapleshade because we need fifty more mapleshade appearances before we even consider making another prominent female villain that doesn't die immediately

honestly. something really catholic is probably gonna happen considering how asc is going.

*note: on top of never having a main series pov who's a tortie, we've ALSO never had a solid white pov in the main series. in fact, unless im misremembering, the only one we've EVER had is moth flight, while mapleshade, spottedleaf, and redtail were all torties

To add on to my Moonpaw predictions, I hope that on their journey at some point Moonpaw runs into an elderly Sol. TawnyPelt and CrowFeather are like “Do NOT trust him. He is an evil cat.” But Moonpaw and Sol actually have a nice chat (Sol not revealing or confirming anything about his life) and Sol ends up leaving them to go on his own way.

I don't think I've ever seen this much hype around just the BLURB of a new wc arc before, all these cool predictions/ideas are exciting!! I can't wait for us all to be inevitably disappointed when moonpaw is a gray cat with blue eyes playing the role of sad anxious medicine cat #4 and the voice haunting her is actually ashfur (back from th water) and its her mission to go find the moonBush and in order to do that we have to go through 400 pages of walking to the tribe

please i am not in the warrior cats fandom explain what is going on with moonpaw. is it a cat thing or a story thing im not understanding.

I'm not keepping up with warrior cats either so keep in mind all of this os second hand informatiom but basically Moonpaw is a character from the next arc

Thing number 1)

She is a chimera and has heterochromia. Problem is? Her design is based on this cat

Who is not actually a chimera!

Thing number 2)

People are being really ableist towards the character. Appreantly her parents are cousins or something( Not new in warrior cats at all and also happens in real life with animals all the tiiime please spay and neuter your cats and pets in genral!) and people are saying shes a chimera because of the inbreeding (not how chimerism works) and using ableist language, the r-slur and basically exposing that they believe in eugenics.

Because of hints said by the writers about a prophecy concerning two cats. Some people have been interpeting it as the two cats that fused into moonpaw (which is actually almosy exactly like fanfic I daydreamed in like fourth grade isnt that wild?) so people have been predicting/headcanoning taht manifesting as "hearing voices" or DID/plurality.

Thing number 3 (aka the thing that actually matters) (aka the fanon) (aka why I love her so much):

Fans headcanon her as intersex. Fans have headcanoned her as a system. (Both extremely iffy, but I like them because theyre a part of the drama and terribleness of this character. Which is a big part why Im obssessed with her). As a lesbian. And DATING THE MAGIC POOL. YURIOUSLY.

Tldr; in classic warrior cats fashion a character was not thoguht out well, in classic fandom fashion the fandom reacted with ableism, discourse, and fanonising the character, and I am abseloutly OBSSESSED. And she's dating a pool

Anyways since Moonpaw is a chimera I predict that the sibling she absorbed in the womb ended up in StarClan seeing as Bright Stream’s kits ended up in StarClan despite not being born and that the littermate will be named Sunkit and will be the voice Moonpaw hears.

i like to imagine Moonpaw WAS simple just gonna be a gray tabby with blue eyes but the erins realized that both twitter and tumblr were already predicting this so to look more unpredictable and exciting they made moonpaw a chimera cat and acted like this was their go-to plan

hi tumblr long time no see. here my moonpaw prediction designs because i have nothing else to post i cant believe how close i got with the second one
