mizu headcanons bc it’s about time!!

so along with having poor vision, mizu suffers from a sensitivity to light; you’ll catch her squinting hard even if it’s not all that sunny outside, and she’ll often wear one of those hats you see farmers wearing all the time. it’s the best she can do to protect her eyes from the sun

tbh if she has to fight in broad daylight, it’s almost better to just close her eyes bc between the sun and her poor vision, she's gonna have a tough time. she’ll end up with a big ol’ headache that makes it harder to concentrate on her other senses

eventually she does start training herself to fight with her eyes closed! just seems logical bc what if she eventually goes blind? 

going blind is a genuine concern for mizu, tho you won’t catch her talking about it unless you ask -- she’d rather not bring up something unpleasant and personal without being prompted to. 

in general!! mizu will not talk about her own worries or feelings. she’s prone to hiding them for the comfort of others, but if asked outright, she’ll be pretty honest! she’s just very aware that everyone is dealing with something or has something on their mind, so she doesn’t like to add to that. it isn’t as tho she needs to talk about herself that much, right?

yu wonders sometimes where she got her people skills from, bc it definitely wasn’t him!! except actually it was his careful, caring treatment of her that provided a blueprint, and books that provided examples of do’s and do not’s!

mizu considers herself well-rounded and competent as a slayer, but she wouldn’t call herself talented; she just works hard and tries to pay attention to her surroundings!

but her adaptability and quick-thinking are what set mizu apart from others! whereas hyouka might try the same thing ten times, mizu will immediately change her tactics and come up with a new plan

as mentioned here, there are spirits and creatures that aid yu in maintaining the order of his river and the surrounding area, and these guys recognize mizu sometimes and will reveal themselves to her! just to say hi or to give updates that she can relay to yu

is she grateful that the corps helped her get glasses so she could actually see?? yes, but also... she kinda hates them bc they give her headaches and fall off all the time. if mizu is sighing to herself, 9/10 times it’s bc of her glasses these days :’ )

Prompt(s): Yayy, then can I request Erik Lehnsherr, the reader is a mutant and someone wants to hurt her. She doesn’t want to use her powers because she’s scared, then Erik shows up and helps her. They go on a date later? Lots of fluff please?

“I-I’m warning you!” (y/n) stammered. In a defensive position, they tried to look menacing. The man in front of them sneered, taking a step forward. (y/n) flinched and he laughed.

“No you aren’t! You’re too scared to do anything, ain’t cha? Look, how about you just pay up and maybe I won’t hurt you as much,” He smiled, full of yellow stained teeth. (y/n) felt their stomach knot up and they tried not to vomit.

“Look, I don’t even know what you’re talking about! I honestly don’t! My stupid cousin is always getting himself into stuff, he probably used my name in a stupid attempt to get himself out of trouble. Please just- leave me alone!”

Mr. Asshole snorted and decided to take another step closer. Erik, who had been passing by the alleyway, stopped and listened to the conversation. It was at this time he felt that enough was enough.

“Hey. You heard them. Leave them alone, go, run off and mess with somebody your own size,” Erik growled. He stood arms crossed about a few feet away. Asshole Man furrowed his eyebrows and turned his back to (y/n).

“Oh yeah? Why should I? How about you mind your own business, bub.” Erik shrugged at this before lifting a single finger.

“I am, actually. My co-worker and I have been looking for (y/n) here. We have a more friendly proposal for them. So, I guess I’ll say this again but maybe in a language you understand better. Fuck off.”

And with that Erik felt the metal belt buckle, the metal in his jacket and other articles of clothing. He took a hold of it and flung Asshole out of the alleyway. (y/n) grinned as they watched him run away.

“Thank you- I think, anyways. Um...you didn’t have to do that...You aren’t here to hurt me, are you?” Erik stopped and raised an eyebrow. He shook his head.

“No, of course not. My name is Erik Lehnsherr. My friend Charles Xavier and I were wondering if you would like to become a teacher at his school, Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. But I also have my own proposal for you.”

(y/n) blinked and nodded their head. Being a teacher themselves, teaching at a school for mutants actually sounded good. It was a coincidence they were looking for a job, too.

“Go ahead. Also I’d love to teach at the school. But your proposal?”

“Ja. Would you like to have dinner with me? I’d like to treat you to something nice after this shit encounter, and maybe get to know you better,” Erik grinned his shark-like grin and extended and arm to them.

(y/n) snorted and took it, careful not to lean onto him. Erik took it as a silent yes.

The restaurant wasn’t too big or too fancy. (y/n) actually liked it. Erik thought it was a good idea to go to a moderately fancy place, see what (y/n) preferred. He was glad to see that his idea paid off and that, if this continued, he wouldn’t have to go to places that fancy too often in the future.

They ended up chatting and laughing more easily than (y/n) ever would have expected. It was like talking to an old friend rather than a complete stranger. By the end of the evening (y/n) would have hardly called him one either.

Holding hands, Erik walked them back to his car. He opened their door and closed it for them before getting into his own side of the car. The drive back was casual and lasted almost no more than ten minutes. Erik didn’t even hesitate to open (y/n)’s car door and lead them up to their house.

“Thank you for tonight. And for the job proposal,” (y/n) grinned. Erik had learned that he really liked that grin over the course of one night. He offered one of his own as his hands gently rested at (y/n)’s hips.

“You’re welcome. Thank you for saying yes, to both offers. I’ll be seeing you soon?” He asked. (y/n) nodded their head and thought for a second, “How about next Wednesday for lunch? I know a cute little sandwich shop down on Second Street.”

Erik had to laugh at that before he nodded, “Of course, I’ll see you then. Goodnight, (y/n).”

“Good night, Erik.” (y/n) leaned up and pressed their lips against Erik’s. It caught him by surprise, but he was hoping, so he didn’t hesitate to kiss back. His hands wrapped fully around (y/n)’s waist and he smiled against their lips. It was hard to pull away, but he did with another bid of goodnight.

“Where were you?!” Charles asked. He slapped Erik’s shoulder before settling down as he recognized Erik’s calm composure.

“I found (y/n). They said yes to the job, by the way. I also took them out for dinner. We’re meeting next Wednesday for lunch.”

Charles let this register before he started laughing, “Erik Lehnsherr, you sly dog!” Said metal bender smirked and shrugged off his jacket before getting ready for bed. He dreamed of (y/n) that night, anticipating their next meeting.

But anyway; I think my favorite antics of Mausk’s campaign was horribly throwing javelins bc my early spell list was terrible ™️ and failing miserably to be of much help while we were fighting an undead dragon turtle- couch diving for coins and finding platinum pieces was also pretty great, esp getting to go “finders keepers!” later 🤣

He also managed to get a Magic’d platinum table set (can’t look up the item name rn) but it turns his rations into a proper hot meal when he uses it, love that for him

On going jokes with him also involved the fact that he always bathed daily when he had the option; it got to the point where the party was going “we can get you a bath servant dude!”

Which was thoroughly rejected due to the fact that Mausk has some intense Trust issues ™️; stemming from those issues, fun fact! Bean would scare the crap out of Mausk! This is due to the fact that a number of the people who have tried to have him killed were small and often times, he didn’t expect it! So while he wouldnt mind conning with Bean, he wouldn’t be able to trust them for a bit, as if often the case with issues uvu

•   HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?): shit boi let’s call it like... 15 years? •   PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: uhhh fuck dude a lot. icq, aim, yahoo, msn/wlm, irc, message boards, oekaki bbs, furcadia, second life, skype, wow, discord, tumblr, roll20, f2f/tabletop? i’m probably even missing a few •   BEST EXPERIENCE: i’ve really enjoyed how well discord has lent itself visually and organisationally to rp. i had a lot of fun rping on message boards too... but i think my most comfortable experiences have been with discord. the only real issue i have is with how annoying it is to log things from it

•   FEMALE OR MALE: i used to lean a lot more heavily towards females actually, i only had a few male muses... then i swung more towards males, and now i’m sort of sat in this place where my muses are either male or nonbinary •   FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: i love all of these but i tend towards fluff more nowadays i guess... angst is easiest for me to write, smut is rarer and rarer for me but i lov me some good character/relationship growth smut ok •   PLOTS OR MEMES: memes are easier but i can’t write stuff without plot anymore it’s so difficult for me;;; •   LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: i tend towards longer ones because i’m a wordy mofo but i also tend to match by default. i can get a lot of writing going when i’m writing with some people and it still kind of shocks me how much i manage •   BEST TIME TO WRITE: my brain is actually way better for shit in the morning but this presents a problem when most of my partners are more available in the evening... but honestly i work appropriate to the amount of energy inputted; show me enthusiasm and unless i’m about to hecking collapse i will mirror that!! i feed off of ur positive energy •   ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): well.. i actually started writing sunny originally to bring his positivity into my life, so i wanted to be more like him. he’s actually the least positive of my muses right now though lmao so, i think he became more like me rather than the other way around. i do put aspects of myself into my muses, and i find out things about myself through musing and writing. it’s a pretty neat thing, i don’t think it’s bad to put yourself or find yourself in your muses because writing is very much self-discovery and self-reflection in any form
