I've been wanting to draw this for a while. Most of the gatherings I've been to or hosted lately (where I actually get to, however briefly, see and talk to my fellow mom friends as we pass babies around and clean-up barf) at least one woman begins to cry. AT LEAST. Usually it's three, and we take turns. Everyone is in this constant flux of gratitude, guilt, exhaustion and surrender. Everyone is trying their best and feeling that are just falling short. All of us moms doing it so differently from each other, and all of us succeeding and failing in our own ways. Ever since I had my first baby I can sob at the sound of a strategic chord change, and I could kill a suspicious stranger with my bare hands. Tremendous, peculiar energy. Want to hear something crazy?! I am NOT going crazy with my kids at home. I LOVE hanging out with them. I LOVE having them at home for the summer. They are not being bad whatsoever and I wish summer would slow down a bit because we are less than two weeks away from July and we are having way too much fun doing nothing & everything! 😭- I honestly dislike reading how tired, sick, and ready to lose it everyone is of their kids. Mamas, it’s been less than a month! HOW?! - Lets shift our mindset a little. Let’s slow down. Spend time with our kids. Really be present when we are with them. Get to know them. Give them a chance. Don’t make them feel like they’re a burden. Don’t let feel like they are the cause of our frustrations. Practice a little patience mamas, I know it’s hard, but with a little bit of positivity, prayer and a whole lot of love, your kids can truly become your best friends!
