Chris Sabin! Companion piece to my Alex Shelley painting. I love painting wavy hair, goddamn. More of that please.
I’m slowly figuring out how to properly edit the photos I take of my paintings so the colours are a little truer to life. It’s a process :/

I absolutely soaked the page for this
I desperately wanted to bring to life my vision of a bloody-nosed beetle as the focus of Motor Spirit by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and honestly considering I was just throwing more and more water on the page I'm pretty happy with the result

Could you tell me more about yourself?
It is for something important.
Oh yeah sure!
I’m cyberr, I go by a lot of names, currently my favourites are Phoenix, Leonardo, and Jackdaw. I use any pronouns and I am asexual.
I have numerous skin conditions, feet bones in the wrong place, and a really bad back at the moment, as well as chronic daily headaches . So uh. You could say that I am as fit as a fiddle, if the fiddle in question is the one in my garage, which has all its strings snapped.
I really enjoy reading, and have done since I was seven. I’m currently reading the reappearance of Rachel Price, as well as the Iliad. Some of my most favourite books include: the wizards of once, how to train your dragon, murder most unladylike, all about romance, Sherlock Holmes, and treasure island.
I’m also a writer, I’ve been working on this one story for five years now. Hopefully I’ll finish it one day. I write a lot of poetry.
I love mysteries and have been apart of numerous mystery solving groups, several founded by me.
I’m an artist, of course, and my top three mediums are pencil, watercolour, and digital. I’m not the best at digital tbh. I hate acrylic and acrylic hates me.
I usually do a lot of sports but right now because of my back I can’t do a few of them. I can still do swimming, archery, rounders (tragically:/), stand up paddle boarding, and roller booting. Because they don’t involve as much bending down.
I’m gay
I’m a part time goth, which is to say I listen to goth music (my favourites atm are fields of the Nephilim and all about Eve) but only sometimes dress goth, and in varying degrees of goth. I am the most inconsistently dressing person I know, and right now my catchphrase is ‘the duality of man’. For some reason.
Music wise I listen to a lot. One day I will truly be able to say that I listen to everything. But not yet. My most favourite band is the crane wives
I want to be a marine archaeologist when I’m older, or, failing that, a famous actor. Let’s be honest here, unless I do become a really famous actor, neither career path is likely to pay well. Marine archaeological, or maritime archaeology, is all about ships wrecks, and how cultures of the past interacted with the ocean and other bodies of water around it.
I like all the animals. Genuinely there is lot a single animal that I don’t like. Well- I’m not too keen on bugs but I wish them all the best, and may many of them please stay away. I have a severe phobia of moths, and slight arachnophobia that depends on how I’m feeling and what the spider is. Tarantula? No problem, big and hairy enough to be a kitten. Now let’s move away from it in case it sprays its hairs. Brown garden spider? Bloody Mary on a motor bike get it Away.
My attention span is low. I am a theatre kid. As I type this is have a musical going in the background.
. I’m so sorry I’ve kinda made this really long, idk how much information you need
Fandoms: rise: tmnt, Percy Jackson, the owl house, the dragon prince, httyd, the inheritance cycle, red wall, Sherlock Holmes, mythology, epic the musical, so much more I can’t think of right now
I love the ocean
Lmk if you need anything else, hope this has helped, and uh. Yeah it’s kind long winded

I think I worked it out! It’s a layered watercolour painting mounted on a clock motor.
Theme is: the fear we sometimes get where it feels like time is passing too quickly and we’ve done nothing with it. Maybe we feel like we spend too much time at our shitty jobs, or spend too much of our time off sleeping or scrolling social media, or even just the sunday scaries where we cannot enjoy a sunday because we are haunted by the looming week about to start again.
An owl dreams as fungi seemingly grow out of it, sucking away owl’s spirit. The day literally rises and sets in the distance, seasons change, and it seems like everyone else is flying around, being productive and enjoying life, all except for owl.

A Detailed Guide to Plan Art Supplies for Home School Anchorage
Home school Anchorage is your way to ensure your curriculum is aligned with your kid’s unique learning requirements. Art is a great way to personalize homeschool learning. It promotes the right skills, including fine motors and creativity. You can ensure a well-rounded and perfect schooling structure for your child.
Choosing the right art supplies can help ensure you provide the kid with the support needed to fulfill their goals. Here are a few things that can help find the right art supplies.
1. The first step is to assess your goals or requirements. You may need to understand what type of interests does your child have. This might be painting, drawing or sculpting. You may also need to understand their preferred type of art to ensure you find something that is engaging for them. this would also help you invest in the right supplies for your child. The next step is to determine the budget for the art supplies. You can invest in basic supplies or something more high-end, depending on the budget and interests. It is equally important to know what type of amount you are likely to spend on the child. The next thing is to plan the space where you will store the homeschooling in Anchorage art supplies. Lastly, define the education goals for the particular supplies you are planning.
2. There are some basic supplies that you must invest in for the homeschool. This is irrespective of their interests. For example, you need to stock up of all types that can help with the diverse preferences. You might want to invest in construction paper and watercolour. Similarly, you need pencils and erasers as well. paints, markers and colours are equally important. You may need to use brushes and scissors for the art and craft classes.
3. You can also consider purchasing specialized supplies for the different art formats. For example, if you want to introduce drawing and sketching, you can consider adding charcoal pencils and coloured pencils to the list. Similarly, pastels can also add some use to this list. In case of painting, you can add canvas boards to the list. Craft foams and beads are a good addition if you plan to use craft in your curriculum.
4. It is not enough to have a good number of art supplies for your home school Anchorage. You also need to ensure a proper place for organizing and storing these supplies. You can have a dedicated storage area for the art supplies. For instance, add a particular shelf or cupboard for the purpose. You must have clear containers for the specific items. You can label each container as well so that you can easily identify these items. Pegboards can also get you started easily. lastly, you can install art caddies for easy access. The idea is to use the best fit method to store and access the art supplies as per your convenience.
5. When you are introducing art in your homeschool, you must have a clear understanding of the art projects you aim to introduce. Add thematic projects, which means you introduce specific art styles or align them with your projects. You can also use art history in the curriculum for homeschooling in Anchorage.

Use Crayons and a Sketchbook to Colour Your World
Giving your child the freedom to express their creativity is crucial for their general development and can make them better students when they start school.
It's crucial to encourage your child to exercise sketching since it will advance their development or could reveal a creative side to you. Keep reading to learn some key reasons why sketching is crucial for your child if you want to support their skill development and overall growth.
Drawing is one of the few things that young children can do naturally. Your youngster probably likes making art, whether their chosen medium is crayons on printer paper or chalk on a wall. Drawing, along with other expressive arts like dancing and storytelling, has many positive developmental effects. Here are some justifications for encouraging your kids to sketch at home, daycare, and school.
Tumblr media
Educates on Creative Problem Solving
Giving your kid particular drawing goals, such as making a family picture, and discussing his or her colour, approach, or unique choices might help him or her build better problem-solving abilities over time.
Drawing, in addition to visual analysis and focus, allows your youngster to solve difficulties imaginatively. When drawing, your child must decide how to connect body parts, express emotions, and portray certain textures.
Encourage our Children
Use positive encouragement to encourage your youngster to sketch and create. Display completed drawings in your kid's room or other places of your home, including individual drawings in letters to family members, and congratulate your youngster for practice and particular accomplishments. To get all of the advantages, encourage your child to sketch throughout childhood.
Boosts Graphical Perception
Making a youngster sketch specific objects, especially in connection to one another, might assist in developing basic visual analytical skills for familiar environments. Encourage your kid to draw examples of large and little, rough and smooth, distant and near, and other contrasts to enhance this type of drawing at home.
Assists in establishing focus
Since most kids like to draw, this exercise offers a chance to introduce the ideas of practice and attention. Even in primary school, your child's academic success depends on understanding these ideas. Your child will progress as they learn to pay attention to minute details, focus on getting a certain result, and perform challenging activities.
Hand-Eye Coordination is Improved
Drawing helps your child make connections between what he or she sees and what he or she does in addition to enhancing fine skills. This hand-eye coordination is crucial for activities like handwriting instruction, sporting competitions, and recreational activities. Have your youngster reproduce your drawing while they are looking at it to improve their hand-eye coordination.
Conclusion
Drawing can enhance a child's creativity and imagination, allowing them to express themselves in a non-verbal way. It can also help them develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and focus and attention. We provide a Collection of Stationery. Visit www.clickere.in if you want good-quality sketches & watercolour

Final Illustration
Design 4 - Paeonia
This is my forth final illustration Paeonia for my collection 'In Bloom'. Paeonia is the latin word for peony in which is a pink flower inspired by those featured on the dress. The main feature of this design is the cloak as shown by my final garment I just love Georgian cloaks and think they are such an important part of Georgian fashion portraying this sense of royalty like in Queen Charlotte. to go with this I went with a fairly simple underskirt and then layered this under a cute pink outer top really helping to show off that typical style line of the Georgian Period. As I wanted the main feature of this design to be the cloak I decided start of with this nicely textured grey base featuring these streaky lines and range of tone in which I then layered these black vines / stems adorned with pink flowers to add that bit of extra variation. To enhance on this pink element I made the bodice and top skirt pink to add this extra pop of colour and tie the whole design together. In contrast as their was quite a lot going on in the rest of the dress I kept the underskirt quite simple and ended up going with white using grey watercolour to add shadows and then layered silver metallic watercolour over the top swell as the stars for that extra bit of depth. As a whole I really love this designing although its quite simple through the illustrative work I think I was able to enhance on this mainly due this lovely pattern on the cloak helping to pop even motor by that black lining.

Fun and Educational Activities for Toddlers at School
Tumblr media
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of development where they are eager to explore and learn about the world around them. Preschools and daycare centres play a vital role in providing toddlers with a nurturing environment that fosters both fun and educational activities. Engaging toddlers in stimulating activities not only keeps them entertained but also aids in their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Here are some exciting and educational activities tailored for toddlers at school.
Sensory Play:
Sensory play is an excellent way to stimulate toddlers' senses and encourage exploration. Schools can set up sensory bins filled with materials like rice, beans, sand, or water. Toddlers can scoop, pour, and feel different textures, enhancing their tactile awareness and fine motor skills. Adding items like plastic animals or alphabet letters can also introduce concepts such as sorting or letter recognition.
Story Time:
Reading to toddlers not only introduces them to language and vocabulary but also fosters a love for books and storytelling. Schools can incorporate daily storytime sessions where teachers read age-appropriate books aloud to the children. Interactive books with textures, flaps, or sound effects can further engage toddlers' senses and keep them captivated.
Art and Craft:
Contacting a kindergarten in Indore, you'll find they offer a range of art materials for toddlers to explore, including crayons, markers, paint, and clay. Simple activities such as finger painting, collage making, and playdough sculpting allow toddlers to express themselves while developing creativity, hand-eye coordination, and sensory skills.
Music and Movement:
Music and movement activities are not only fun but also beneficial for toddlers' physical development and coordination. Schools can incorporate songs, rhymes, and dance into their daily routines. Activities like musical chairs, freeze dance, or playing simple instruments like shakers or drums encourage toddlers to move their bodies and develop rhythm and coordination skills.
Nature Exploration:
Taking toddlers outdoors to explore nature provides them with valuable learning experiences. Schools can organize nature walks where toddlers can observe plants, animals, and natural phenomena like weather changes. Teachers can facilitate discussions about the environment, seasons, and the importance of caring for nature. Nature-inspired art projects or sensory activities using natural materials like leaves, rocks, or flowers can further enrich the experience.
Role-Play and Pretend-Play:
Encouraging toddlers to engage in imaginative play helps develop their social skills, creativity, and language abilities. Schools can set up pretend play areas such as a kitchen, doctor's office, or construction site with props and costumes. Toddlers can role-play different scenarios, taking on roles like chef, doctor, or builder, allowing them to explore their interests and develop their imaginations.
Sorting and Matching Games:
Simple sorting and matching games are excellent for developing toddlers' cognitive skills such as categorization, problem-solving, and visual discrimination. Schools can provide materials like coloured blocks, shape sorters, or picture cards for toddlers to match or sort based on attributes like colour, shape, or size. These activities also lay the foundation for early math concepts.
Sensory Science Experiments:
Introducing toddlers to simple science experiments can ignite their curiosity and critical thinking skills. Schools can conduct hands-on experiments like mixing colours with watercolours, creating homemade slime, or exploring sink and float with different objects. These activities allow toddlers to observe cause-and-effect relationships and make predictions, laying the groundwork for scientific inquiry.
Engaging and educational activities are essential for toddlers' development in their early school years. One of the best play schools in Indore offers a rich environment with sensory experiences, storytelling, art, music, nature exploration, pretend play, and hands-on learning. These activities foster growth in various domains and instil a lifelong love for learning.

I painted one half of #MCMG! Chris is next on my list. Unless I get distracted.
ohhh my god, this was a cursed cursed CURSED painting. I’ve never had so many disasters befall a piece before. Between spilling a bottle of masking fluid and having paper start peeling and breaking apart as I worked on it, I think I restarted this thing 5 times. I stared at this man’s face for so long that his features stopped making sense.

Critical Annotation:
My master project explores the concept of the complexity of the inner self by examining my relationship between mind and body, consciousness and unconsciousness, memory, childhood traumas, dreams, and fantasies. The project focuses on reconstructing elements from the past, establishing entities and initiatives related to the concept of a “fragmented self,” and delving into the process of healing and resolving traumas through painting. The project investigates how artwork can be understood as a source of new trauma languages that arise from the artist’s lived experience, not just to illustrate therapeutic, psychological, or psychoanalytic concepts.
My oil and watercolour paintings draw inspiration from my personal experiences, memories, and intuition, which childhood traumas, depersonalization, fragmented dreams, and various cultural influences have shaped. My dreams are a rich source of imagery, ranging from recollections of my youth to more surreal and unsettling visions, which often reflect the primitive sensory and motor experiences of a child in the mirror stage. Dreams and fantasies play a central role in the artistic process, allowing me to explore the recesses of my unconscious mind and unearth forgotten impressions, repressed desires, and childhood memories.
Therefore, the dossier I created mainly focuses on themes in personal lived experience, traumas, relationships, body, ambiguity, and physical and immaterial realms. The artists and artworks I have chosen to reflect on themselves, their community, and their culture and see creative possibilities in unbearable circumstances. Almost all the artists that I have chosen have traumas at different times in life. Thus, they all have a common characteristic, which is vulnerability. However, instead of feeling decadent about it, they use them as inspiration. Many of them source the past to move into the future. The artists in my dossier are vulnerable, or as I describe myself – fragmented and nostalgia. However, as Louise Bourgeois writes, “Nostalgia is not productive. If they come to you, they are the seeds for sculpture.” The artists used fragmentation as the seeds for artworks, and this is one of the methods that I source them together.
Furthermore, they are attuned to different energies, moods, nuances, dreams, and reveries. Through research and exploration, their works inspired and benefited me. Again, except for the themes. I also mainly searched for an artist who works on painting, as the medium I specifically explored in my MFA project is painting. In conclusion, no matter which medium artist use, they explore themselves and their interconnection with the world.

"Hollyhocks in Little Budworth" is a pen and watercolour piece.
I finished it last month, having seen this lovely flower against so many doorways in both Abingdon and Keswick!
It depicts a very pretty cottage I saw near the church in this beautiful Cheshire village (near the Oulton Park motor racing circuit) on a walk Steve and I took two years ago.
The scene was idyllic. The weather was great, nothing was happening at the race track, the pub was open and a horse rider had stopped for a drink and a chat with some of her neighbours. St George's flag was flying above the sandstone parish church and someone had taken a great pride in their cottage garden.
This looked to me like the epitome of a Cheshire country cottage, with black metal railings, the sandstone tower behind and the hollyhocks, such an evocative cottage garden flower.
The A4 (29.7cm by 21cm) unframed original is available for £75 including UK postage or, if we live close enough for us to deliver, in a frame it's £95. Please just private message me to arrange your purchase.
Or it's available in a mix of different types and sizes of prints, and printed on all sorts of lovely things (like bags, dresses, tops, scarves, homewares, gift items, etc) at:
Thanks!
Sam aka LymphomaLass xx
