WODtober 14 > Lines Drawn In Blood

RVBtober 14 > Crossover
"He and I are closer than friends. We are enemies linked together. The same sin binds us."
So. Here's some possible bg/lore mixing - idk if normal, 'non-secret service/intelligence agency' humans in this universe know vampires exist but disregarding that -
I think a lot of the vampires, esp the ones in space, are pretty high generation or thin-bloods (i.e. they're weak). Originally Locus + Felix were on the v edge of being thin-bloods (like gen 13) but... they're not anymore. The wonders of diablerie - not that they really advertise it. Views on that haven't really changed. They're also autarki aka freelance/mercenaries, but I dunno when they were Embraced; could've been before, during or after the War. Doesn't rly matter that much, they can all work imo but at least for Locus post-War works best
Locus could have either the Blood Addiction bane or the Noxious Blood bane since I think both could work for him, and Felix would have the classic Ravnos Bane of needing to move around.
I'll post more thoughts abt why I chose those clans for them + more abt sharky etc a bit later bc I don't want this to be too long lol <3

I really appreciate Simon Jarrett doing the sensible genre-aware thing of not talking during most gameplay when he’s by himself, presumably because There Could Be Monsters Around The Corner he doesn’t want to alert, but the second he comes into contact with another person he lets it all out, “WHAT the fuck is going on WHERE am i what is HAPPENING why are all these robots off the SHITS i am GOING TO FUCKING LOSE IT!!!!” love u simon. it’s gonna be okay man (lie)

Slow down, take time
Breath in he said
He'd reveal what's to come
The thoughts in his mind
Always higher than mine
He'll reveal all to to come
Take courage my heart
Stay steadfast my soul
He is in the waiting

[Begin transcript:
Holmes: Poldhu Bay? Hah, you're not content with dragging me to Cornwall. It has to be the furthest possible extremity!
Watson: Ah, come on. Confess it. It's the holiday you hate, not the place.
Holmes: Hm. Perhaps.
Watson: (Laughs) Thought so. You like it here just as much as I do. And with good reason. It's magnificent.
(Pause, seabirds cawing)
Holmes: Have you noticed how quickly the wind turns?
Watson: Hm?
Holmes: Yes, one minute the water's sheltered and safe, the next it's treacherous. This whole bay is a death trap.
Watson: That's a gloomy sort of observation.
Holmes: Well, look inland. A whole race of people lived here and now they've vanished completely. All that's left is a few burial grounds and stone monuments. Heh, the place encourages gloom.
Watson: Eh, I wouldn't call it gloomy. Romantic, yes. It has mystery. If there are ghosts, this is the place for them. I think it's inspiring.
Holmes: You're not the only one to think so...
Watson: Huh?
Holmes: So starben wir, um ungetrennt. Ewig einig, ohne End'.
Ohn' Erwachen, ohn' Erbangen. Namenlos, in Lieb' umfangen.
Watson: That's beautiful.
Holmes: It's by Wagner. Tristan and Isolde. Act two. It's set here, on the Cornish coast.
Watson: What do the words mean?
Holmes: They're a hymn. To love.
Watson: Huh. Eh, you see? Romantic.
Holmes: And to death.
(Pause, instrumental of "So Starben Wir" begins)
Holmes: So let us die and never part. Together, for the rest of time. No more waking, no more fearing. Nameless, endless, loving, sharing. Existing only in each other. Wrapped in love and death and darkness.
(Instrumental continues on without him, and then fades out)

in this universe werewolves are a union between a demon and a human host. with more powerful demons the host is often parasitized to the point of being just an empty human husk containing a demon, but some lesser or benevolent demons have more amicable arrangements, and some by-technicality-werewolves even have demons that only tag along and see the world through your eyes (these cases are considered werewolf 'immune'. when a werewolf bites you and transmits its venom into your bloodstream, the venom acts a beacon for demons to locate your body. they won't take over a human host that's already occupied by another demon, though, so in many cases having a lesser demon prevents any more aggressive demons from trying anything). anyway youre a werewolf hunter chasing down signs of a mark at some club and your assigned werewolf hunter partner whos clearly "not" a "werewolf" is really dragging her feet for this one and you notice some dude thats clearly charming people and devouring them in the back alley and your partners like Dont go back there. lets just forget about this one and youre like What but this is the mark isnt it. the whole point of us being here is to stop it. & then it turns out its some actual demon lord.
