you love your friends, but the truth is, you go through most of the real things alone. it's better that no one sees you like this. you'll be fine, really, because you're used to feeling this way. it'll pass. it always does. that's what you believe, anyway. you're more likely to give someone advice on a lesson you've learned without telling them how you learned it. you've come to realize that, if they're coming to you for advice, they'll be too preoccupied to ask. it stings, but it's... that's just the way feelings work sometimes. when you're around others, most of these problems seem to vanish, and you're better able to love the person you are. only on the worst days do you continue to hear that insistent whisper that it's, "all a lie because they don't know what's *really* going on." it's not a lie. you are loved. those moments together are real. there are times when you can afford not to be so strong.

the "comic relief"

yes, alright, you tell your jokes and do your bits. you break awkward silences and sing silly songs. but what about when you're not keeping the levity? what else makes up the person who makes others feel good? you're kind. you connect with people. you hate to see others sad. you have a vice or two--who doesn't--but the point is, you are the epitome of what it is to be human, and you are able to encompass the absolutely zany improbability of life as we know it. people are comforted by you. they cherish your spirit and relate to you. but it can be difficult when you're not laughing. comedy becomes a wall to keep worse feelings out, or in. a person who feels any emotion to the extreme will undoubtedly feel others the same way. laughing is great, but... perhaps a big reason you appreciate your family is because there's something you can't stand in a silence.

Haru had asked to go shopping with him, and Hikaru had agreed, on the condition that he came over so Hikaru could cook him dinner afterwards. Since it was easier, Hikaru had told him that he would pick him up, and so he was doing just that.

He was on his motorcycle, and he pulled up to the place Haru told him to meet him at, the engine purring a bit before he shut it off and pulled off his helmet. His hair was a bit of a mess after having been underneath it though, and he took a moment to try to fix it a bit, nitpicking at his appearance a little as he waited for Haru.

Surprise crossed her features first, swiftly replaced eyes burning with anger her eyes as she quickly ushered, the boy inside, rushing to grab her kit.

“What was the last thing you remember?” her probing was calm, but honestly, part of her wanted to attempt to drag Haru or Tsuha out to see if they had any answers as to who was responsible for the condition he was in.

Zen was excited. He’d been allowed a break for a few days to relax and do whatever he wanted, and he’d been able to convince Mitsuhide and Kiki to allow him to camp out for a day or two, so long as he stayed on castle grounds. And of course, as long as Obi also went along just in case.

Which was actually exactly what Zen wanted anyway. He packed a few things in his travel bag, even though he was just going to the woods on the grounds, and could come back and get anything if he really needed it. The guards had been informed so if they saw a campfire they wouldn’t worry or bother them. Because the point of this was for Zen to have some mostly alone time.

He had everything he wanted to take with him, and made his way to the edge of the woods, before he called for the other quietly. “Obii~ I am here finally.”

|㊗| Walking away from the camp, early in the morning, Yona remembered that there was certain waterfall a few feet away from the camp she was hungry and she was sure that the gang was as well, now was her chance to prove her worth to everyone.

It was bright in the morning, The sun was just barely over the mountains, the princess started waking up from her night slumber, and she had noticed all of the dragons, Yoon, and her guard was still asleep.

, So now would be the perfect time to sneak out of camp and practice her bow and arrow skills hopefully to catch a fish in the stream like Hak had shown her, though she couldn’t helo but tear up as she felt frustrated as well, she made them and her a father a promise didn’t she, she had to get stronger , and become more independent.

“Just you wait I’ll prove myself to be useful one of these days.”

Quietly she wiped the tears from her face and tiptoed out of the tent and grabbed her arrows and bow that were leaned against the tree, and then with a small sigh Yona walked out of the campsite and found a quiet spot to fish around the waterfall, and shot an arrow. into the water.

 *clunk* one arrow was shot down in the middle of the ground missing a fish.*clunk * well, there went two she almost had it . “clunk.” Her aim was just plain off.

A few times she tried this but never was successful. “No.. what why.. ughh Why do fish have to be so fast..? Tilting her head up the female watched the birds that flew over the horizon, but as soon as she felt herself lost in thought, the girl quickly shook her head.

 “Come on, Focus Yona.” Looking back down she spoke up once more, “I need to stay focused, I need to.... Whoa!!!” splash

There as she leaned forward to grab her arrows that she had shot previously. The girl found herself slipping on a rock, then collapsing in the water covering herself head to toe in the clear cold, and blue liquid as she ended up soaked. “T-That d-didn’t g-go out w-well?”

Shivering The princess spoke up and walked out of the steam, After that she placed herself back on to the bank where she placed her bow down and her hand on the side of her arms then shivered. 

Well at least the dragons , herbalist and Hak won’t see the proof that she was actually crying before, but on the same note it was still freezing out and even more so thanks to her clumsiness. “ S-So C-Cold.”

For the first time since he’d gotten her, Shadow hesitated for a moment before sitting down in front of him, looking at him softly. 

“Akito....There are a few things about me that I haven’t been able to show you yet, but....You deserve to know. First of all, I can speak which probably isn’t too surprising considering your family. Secondly I’m...Not exactly what you think I am...” She said softy, her voice soft and slightly unsure. Would he still want her around after this, she wondered? Hopefully he would, she had truly grown to love him and it would be painful if he were to drive her away.

     Angry...he always read him well, didn’t he. Shortly after their meeting, and even after he stopped speaking...Haru had always been in tune with him. Even now...

     His hand lifted to grip onto his shirt and he looked anywhere but at Haru for the moment, but when he did, he mouthed the name Hikaru. Were they just...easily letting people know the secret now? It wasn’t fair. This whole thing wasn���t fair.

     He was grateful to Hikaru for helping him through an attack, but it wouldn’t have happened in the first place if...

     If...

     Akito didn’t know, did he. Akito would’ve forced Hatori to erase Hikaru’s memories...and Hatori would’ve had no choice but to obey. So...Akito was in the dark...

     A soft sigh and his forehead rested against his shoulder. He didn’t know what to do. He was angry, frustrated, worried...

Adsila flinched the moment she realized another werewolf was in the vicinity. “Oh–I’m sorry, is this your territory?” Smiling awkwardly, she tried not to show how nervous she was.

Flying fawn? Flying fawn as she just drops down from a tree right in front of the chain. A soft whine. All her precious sparkly crafting things falling out of her pockets and bag. And the reason for her fall also came down with her. A branch that had snapped under her when she was surprised by the loud angry chirping of a birdie.

“ Ouchie... That was very rude miss bird! You scared me! “

Her eyes tearie she sat up, and then just... stared at the chain that has seemingly seen her little accident. Now that she had noticed she wasn’t alone this was a little embarrassing. After all she had been scared of a tiny bluebird.

He felt like singing and playing his piano suddenly, while they were hanging out at his house, and while he wasn't performing the same way he had before for Haru, he still knew his boyfriend could hear him in the other room.

It had been awhile since Hatori had been by - no doubt Akito monopolizing his time, or perhaps dealing with the aftermath of his curse being broken, but regardless, when he appeared in her doorway, she found herself smiling as she immediately rose onto her toes to give him a happy peck on the lips.

Obi helped him a lot with healing, but what his lover didn’t know was that when he finally slipped into a deep sleep, Zen was getting up each night, using his sword and the wall to force himself to stand, and using the support of both to force himself to walk.

Until one night when he didn’t realize Obi had woken up, and caught him. He was already halfway across the room, his legs shaking a bit but Zen just grit his teeth and kept going. He had to get better. Faster, faster.
