Some stuff was bothering me so I got to research. (get your popcorn and soda)

When talking to another mun, we where discussing how greek demigods would rarely pass their 20's as of PJO but at HOO we see that the Roman demigods have a whole multi-generation society with camp jupiter, leading to question why that big discrepancy. Is it bad continuity or can we explain it within the lore? and searching a little we can find a way for that to be accurate.

At camp Jupiter they have a full god protecting the camp making it possible for them to get older as they were not attacked so often at their own base. Meanwhile, at camp half-blood they get thalia's barrier only about 10 years ago, that means before that camp had no protection against monster attacks and so they would die more often in their own base too making age harder.

BUT after thalia's barrier is set and reinforced by the Golden Fleece, camp get more secure and so this generation will be expected to live longer. now this is purely based on assumption and logical continuity: this probably mean that the greek demigods that have lived throw the titan war will surpass their 20's more often hance they have less death possibilities now and also because after the titan war greeks and roman demigods now have contact.

Also fun fact, luke was 19 at the lightning thief , so he was already one of the rare greeks to live till adult age.

Welcoming Post

God, ok, so this is not my main Dumblr account-- I sprang out one of my other emails to put this puppy together so that I could do the magical FOLLOW/FOLLOWBACK! I hate how you can't do that on side blogs. Meh.

I've been a huge fan of Journey to the West and it's fandom(s) for a loooong time. When we discuss rp, I'll probably talk to you about how I got introduced to it when I was eight-- fun, cute story, but not something I want to put here.

Thought I'd see what the RP scene was like on here, so here we are!

Things I Need

-Length Requirement; So long as you’re able to write at least a Paragraph, I’m satisfied. I can post upwards of twenty paragraphs if I’m scene building, but do not let that scare you off. I will never require you to match me unless you just want to. Please don’t feel pressured.

-Age Requirement; 20+, as previously stated. For certain situations, I may ask you to prove your age to me, and will provide proof of my age to you.

-I prefer to write in Third Person, and I would appreciate it if you did the same.

-Teamwork makes the Dream Work! I like plotting, and I LOVE Collaborating. We can make something amazing together if we just think about it.

-Frequency; So, I work third shift at a Mental Hospital, and at a certain point of the night, I’m very, very active to try and keep myself from falling asleep at work. I will post a lot at night, and less during the day unless it’s my days off. I work on a Rotation, which I will inform you of when/if you contact me. It’s pretty easy to get accustomed to when I’m around. I can/will post multiple times a day, but this isn’t a requirement.

-Art; I will draw stuff in regards to our rps, but I will always ask permission, first.

I'm Mildew (he/it 25+), welcome to my RP sideblog for Ghetsis from Pokemon. The blog this one leeches off of is @aelirus I wrote Ghetsis for a while in short-form RP back in 2016, and never in long form despite being super invested in him. So, here's where I'll be doing that. I'm a pretty friendly person, I try to write with and befriend a broad range of people... with exceptions for the usual suspects (don't be a pos and dont be a creep. I'm looking at you, people-who-write-nsfw-with-protags.) I can be shy reaching-out first, and maybe tend to talk too much when I think it's okay. Never worry about annoying me or telling me off, I've dealt with it all and I can establish boundaries if needed/respect others' boundaries. Thanks for reading.

Here are rules that are specific to Ghetsis' blog, as he will be played a bit differently than my Cyrus blog (@aelirus):

While Ghetsis is a very interesting character, he lacks the same amount of depth my other muses have. For this reason, he's going to be used more for the purposes of events and conflicts. Don't expect a lot of growth out of him or character arcs (although not entirely off the table in highly select cases.)

As an addition to that rule, I probably will have lower activity with Ghetsis and simply use him when the need arises. (That being said "lower activity" for me is a mystery. Because I love to talk and write.)

As another addition to the first rule, you can absolutely feel free to use Ghetsis as a set piece for events/conflicts. He is the "biggest bad" there is. Thanks to alternate universe fuckery that I subscribe to, I can even allow him to be defeated in a myriad of ways or timelines. I have one condition with this: "Defeating him" needs to have meaning, and make sense. If I feel like he's being pushed around or being underestimated OOC, I will try to nudge things back in the right direction. If that doesn't work, I'll tell you directly in DMs, and I might lose motivation for the idea altogether. Work with me, please. I would much rather your character have an interesting story to tell.

I should probably put this on my Cyrus blog too, but: Ghetsis is a STRATEGIST. He knows Pokémon battling like no one's business, and using Pokémon in general to get what he wants. I, HOWEVER... I haven't fought a single competitive battle in Pokémon. Have mercy on my soul 🙏 (And because of this, I typically subscribe more to non-game-logic battle sequences. Such as discussing generally what we want to take place, and trusting that both sides will make something fun and interesting come of it.)

They are a singular entity—in consciousness, their physical form is incorporeal and scattered—watching over the Hotel and beyond, residing in the boundless ocean surrounding it. They don't remember much.

The entities view them in a negative light, although Guiding Light doesn't hold anything against them. They're neutral with Curious Light, and on a negative note against the Red Light.

'The Hotel' collectively refers to all floors to make things easier :)

preferred communication: i prefer to keep quick plotting discussions or other simple messages limited to tumblr IMs, and move to dis.cord when plotting more extensive things or talking about ships.

experience: i've been here since december of 2012 so my experience is annoyingly extensive and pathetically ancient. i remember dashcon firsthand and i remember the mischapocalypse. i remember the first self promo.

preferred roleplay type: i prefer starters that come from ask memes to give me something to work with, minimal plotting at first, and gradually exploring character dynamics until a tangible connection is made. then i love to plot deeper after that. i'm more of a throw caution to the wind, see what happens roleplayer, not a "let's figure out each and every single plot point from beginning to end" roleplayer.

pet peeves & dealbreakers: guilt trippy, emotionally manipulative posts make me very uncomfortable, and i typically softblock after seeing multiple posts of this nature in a row. this type of behavior is very triggering for me. ask me to tell you the story of my former friend who said God Himself told her to delete her blog, and you'll understand why.

plot or memes: memes!!!!!! like i said above, i like a casual approach to creating a dynamic and then building up from the comfortable foundation of a meme or two and some brief discussion. i do love in depth plots, don't get me wrong, but this is a casual hobby for me, and i don't want to pressure myself or another person with constant attention or a demand for super thorough stories when we're busy with irl stuff. for me, it's more fun to be spontaneous and easygoing about plots.

long replies or short replies: i like both, but i tend to write a lot and make replies longer than they need to be. oops

best time to write: i like writing at my desk at work when my workload is low. my boss is of the mindset that "as long as you get your work done, i don't care" so i get my commercials edited and written and fill the in between space with some writing. if i have my headphones in and rain noise playing, i can write whenever. i also love writing at night.

ANGST: I like angst too! It's fun to explore such scenarios, although I personally try to balance my fluff and angst, even if I slightly prefer the former over the latter. As far as I see it, too much of one or the other can be... ehhh.

i've discovered throughout my years on the scene that i am DOODOO at plotting. i prefer winging it (or with minimal "hey this is the concept" discussion, ie pre-est is king if we're new to each other or "hey wanna write out this thing we've talked about" if we're stuck together [affectionate] like that) and building a relationship that way then ""plotting"" in-depth stuff as i also get to know the mun and how our muses work with each other. i've found i adore creating a great relationship between muses then writing the first meeting thread a while down the road (after various threads and ooc communication) as opposed to doing that when we first link up. i think its very fun. dramatic irony or w/e.

maybe its my years doing theatre and improv comedy. i can "yes and" out of any situation.

Hello hello! I’m Pierrot (or Felix)! I use they/he pronouns, and i’m well over 18 (Born 1993). My favourite kinds of characters to roleplay are Weird Men, so here’s another one.

Eric Feeble’s from the BBC show ‘Stressed Eric’, an animated adult sitcom about a stressed out single dad from London doing his best to raise his two kids while capitalism beats him to a pulp. Fun! The show ran from 1998 to 2000, and frankly a few things about it haven’t aged particularly well so please keep that in mind if you’d like to look it up! Note that i’m taking a few liberties with canon here and there.

I’m mutuals only and a bit selective of who I write with, primarily for the sake of preserving mental energy. Writing can take a lot out of me. Non-mutuals and non-RP blogs are more than welcome to send in asks, but please do not reblog any roleplay-related posts.

I am very open to writing with both canon and OC muses of all types, within reason. I draw a hard line at writing with blogs portraying Nazis or fascists, even those with fictional ideologies only “mirroring” real-world Nazism. (Marvel’s Hydra organization, for example). This includes AUs and OCs. If I find a blog following me that has this kind of muse or AU, I will soft or hard block as necessary.

I have issues with my memory and comprehension, which can lead to slower replies and may require a bit more out of character discussion. If you’d like to plot something out, or if i’ve forgotten or misremembered something in a thread or ask, please let me know via Tumblr DM’s or Discord. I will message you if I need a reminder or clarification on something as well.
