‌‌today's an off day at the academy, one of the rare days where it seems like no one has anything important to do or anywhere to be. the halls and the courtyard are busy as ever, and the noise is overstimulating.

as per usual, maki makes an effort not to bother herself with the chatters of her classmates. the quiet ones are always grouped together, and the rowdy ones can't be five feet apart from at least one of them. maki didn't want to partake in whatever sort of chaos they were plotting to do or going through in that moment.

she takes her leave before she gets roped into their nonsense, and makes her way down the hall in silence and solitude. she was careful to avoid whoever was crowding the corridor right now.

this is one of the moments where she would but expected to 'practice her talent' at this school, like they were all assigned to. but, it was difficult to do either of them in a way that mattered. she didn't have anyone to target, and no one to take care of.

instead she pays a visit to one of the empty classrooms, void of both desks and people. from the belt strapped to her calf, she removes the knife she was used to having on her person in case of emergencies. or, well, in case someone stepped a little too close to her more specifically.

she situates herself at the back wall of the room by the door, lines up a shot, and throws the knife straight forward into the chalkboard at the back. this could help bide her time. in a way, this is 'practicing' her talent too, in the event that she was forced to face off against a long range target. the chances of getting into that situation with only a knife were slim, but she couldn't take risks in her line of work.

she approaches the board to pull the knife free with ease. she finds a small piece of chalk on the ground nearby, and draws it across the chalkboard ahead of her. various symbols are written, ranging from a target one might see on a dart board, to smaller dots littered around in random locations. her goal was little more than to test her aim.

she approaches the back of the room when she's done, leaving behind the chalk and waving her hand to dislodge some of the dust from her hand. she turns, and lifts her knife, focusing in on one of the smaller dots on the chalkboard.

her focus is unwavering in this moment. of course, that's subject to change.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Honestly, when I first started to RP Red so long ago, I came to realise that Fire, is in fact, NOT Red at all. Like I had the general understanding that or Red and Fire are not the same thing. but for me, it was more on the idea that??? they could be?? in the same universe?? like that for me was something that I found really hard. IDK why? I jut dissociated them so much that it got to the point where I simply didn’t like Fire? Another reason for me disliking the muse was because I just didn’t like him as a character concept. IDK. I guess there were some that caused him to be an “alternate” or “UNDERDOG”  version of Red and I was like no please stop.. um?? no?? Like idk how to explain. Fire and Red are two completely different people, and most people were like well Red is nonexistent to Fire. while others just thought that Red and Fire came from different generations and wouldn’t have kNOWN of each other.  That and like… the personalities were so vastly different imo that I just couldn’t comprehend Fire as a muse???? Like there were so many things happening that I just shut myself out from considering Fire. I was SO (and still am at times) dissociated with Fire because I just didn’t have any good reason to attempt any interaction. Like I am sorry to say that, but it’s the truth and I hate it, but I genuinely always have a hard time trying to like a Fire muse because people aren’t vary forward or clear about wtf is happening. Like to me sometimes I feel like Fire is a canonised/glorified self-insert. and I’m like??? please help me understand this boi, is he a canon character? is he an OC? like what is his story line? where tf does he fit in life and in general.

How they play them: So you know How I just took the time to literally question everything about Fire above? yea well allow me to say that while I still question him, I still think what YOU have for Fire makes me appreciate the fact that you took the time to sit down with him and be like “yo i wanna write Fire today.” Like?? Idk if that makes sense but no really, I’m terrible with reading the interactions, but I LOVE reading up on his bio a lot, it makes me genuinely happy and proud that you wrote it because it’s clearly written in a way where i’m like, wow this is actually something I can follow? And for somebody who was able to hold the path steady and show me the way, I’m very appreciative for it. Because yes, please I want to read more about Fire’s history and I would actually love to write with Fire now that I have SOME understanding of him. granted, I’m still confused, but at least I am not confused to all hell and you’ve written Fire in an understandable way for me. I thank you.

☐ ~ How many people do you not like?

Hmm a very small amount, all of which either being fictional characters or long dead people throughout history. For example James and Maria Reynolds. Even then 9/10 times I very much like the antagonist in most stories.

♚ ~ How many people don’t like you?

Hard to answer, there has to be at least like one. But whenever I have a disagreement with another I strive to stay calm in the situation and try reasoning with them. So far it’s worked very well and both of us end up leaving satisfied with the added bonus of not being grumpy.

♥ ~ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

Well, Raven has been through a LOT and she can be very clumsy sometimes….but anyways I’m getting off topic. I think the worst thing that has happened so far is dudes that kiss her randomly without any character development or her having to fight off and lot of things mentally alone while still trying to focus on the task at hand. Once she was too weak while fighting and the being of course took over…lets just say each of them ended up with major wounds and the only reason why the being gave way for her to take control again was because It got bored since the person was already too weak to keep fighting & it was practically in the middle of nowhere. Oops I got carried away…again, sorry! But yah I think that’s it NEXT QUESTION!!

I believe the only thing that kinda bothers me while rping is either lack of communication with my partner oorrr making a grand jump without having character development.
