nowadays: after the finale, milan has only taken the time to meet with her best friend ( @lgcxnoeul​ ) before leaving for her hometown for almost the rest of the week. outside of noeul, the only person she has directly talked about the results of the finale is @lgcakio​​. during her time away, she’s been quite introspective and, being a practicing catholic, turned to the bible to find encouragement and teachings that could help her go through her currently worries. for now, she’s still seeking, and spends most of her alone free time reading her bible. 

private matters: milan isn’t just seeking guidance for her worries concerning her career, but for heart matters too. she still has experience when it comes to flirting and relationships, but she does have feelings for someone who, unfortunately, she knows doesn’t and wouldn’t reciprocate her feelings. however, this knowledge is not enough to make her heart change what it desires, much to her dismay and, at times, sadness.

griff enjoyers rise

 i made a headcanon backstory after i saw everyone shittalk griff and say byron is better as a manager. i like byron being the OLD manager but griff is funny so i think that he should stay being the replacement, so i made this backstory (that i posted on discord so excuse my errors plz) Used to be a street magician who lived on the streets and was once very honest and humble... until all his hard earned gains were robbed from some random shmuck. It's REALLY hard to get anything worthwhile from doing simple tricks with people's stuff, so the only way he could make it all back was if he... switched his "business model". Utilizing his "magic skills", Griff robbed people's wallets, prized possessions and other valuables with sheer trickery alone, quickly getting his robbed gains back, even doubling them after a certain point. Now a moderately successful conman, Griff waltzed into a bar with only one thing in mind (munee). Greeted by the bartender robot and some other friendly faces, he performed the same tricks he did on the shmucks from the streets, but got a different reaction. Rather than just being cussed out as he started to walk away, these people *shot at him*. After fighting back for a bit by pelting their coins at them, Griff made his swift escape out of the bar. What he failed to realize, though, is that he was now inside Starr Park, and quickly garnered the management's attention. Looking to refurbish their Gift Shop, they turned their attention to replacing the old Manager, who spent most of his time selling snake oil rather than being inside the shop. Not long after escaping, Griff got approached by park execs and offered his first real job, and though reluctant at first, he was assured he did not need much experience beyond knowing how to defend himself. Ever since then, Griff has been running the shop, to mediocre results. He studies business and ethics every day, because his one fear in life is losing the only thing that got him out of the streets: money.

"She is a bit much," Sirius confesses one morning over the tea he pours for Lunya out in the garden. It's a sweet thing from Doma, smelling of peaches and apples when she takes a sip. The Lavender Beds are in full bloom at this time of the year, a colourful collage of flowers everywhere they look, and they're almost so abundant that they lose track of the little girl skipping this way and that through the yard, singing in that little birdsong voice of hers.

Lunya scrutinizes his face over her cup. "Is she?" she asks, though he knows better than to actually answer while she has that cloying smile on her lips that says she's going to psychoanalyze whatever he says next. "She reminds me of Zaya sometimes."

She being the Miqo'te kitten scampering around, the one with rosey hair and an endlessly sunny disposition that's gotten the whole Lavender Beds wrapped around her little finger, a bundle of joy and reckless, childish impulse. Linnet beams as she comes back into view from behind one of the many hydrangea bushes, leaves in her hair and no shortage of dirt on her dress, which has Sirius grimacing while Lunya laughs, giving her a little wave before she tumbles back into her miniature solo-adventure.

"We were not like that at her age."

"And thank the Twelve she's not like us." Lunya shakes her head. "Even though her circumstances weren't great either—"

"That's the point." Sirius exhales sharply as he pulls out the chair across from her and clambers onto it, a privilege afforded to someone who was their employer's childhood friend before they became their retainer. "I'm worried that she's hiding any bad feelings from us—you can't just escape a Garlean castrum without your parents and grow up an orphan and not get any trauma after. Is she holding back or does she not realize? Look at us, we're both fu—"

Lunya half-lunges over the table and stuffs a cookie in his mouth.

"We're both dealing with unresolved issues," she finishes sweetly with a bat of her eyelashes, ignoring Sirius' grumble of I hate sugar cookies and you know this why am I letting you pay me to be your damn servant and why didn't I walk away when I first saw you on Pearl Lane? "Neither of us have any right to try prying that kinda thing out of her, so for now we just have to make sure she grows up better than we did."

There's a very loud KWARK! of alarm that has them both shooting up in their seats just in time to watch as Linnet gets tossed into a bush while Lunya's chocobo huffs in discontent at her. When the little girl recovers and simply turns to run after Lunya's pack of dogs with a boundless sort of energy that neither of them got to use when they were her age, her guardians simply sigh.

"...Maybe I'll get Hanami to introduce her to Mune and Rielle," Lunya decides, cringing beneath the well-deserved frustration of her featheriest companion before Ube turns to stalk back into their stable. "Linnet could use friends her own age."

Tricks and Treats

It was going to be Amaranthus’s very first Halloween. Everyone explained it to her in their own way, and from what she had heard...it was the best holiday on the little blue planet. No one could change her mind, not one bit. No arguments! 

Amaranthus was bouncing in her seat with excitement. She was going to do a thing called ‘Trick or Treating’. It sounded so cool! Right now she was waiting for everyone to arrive. They were all going to start in her neighborhood for trick or treat then they would move onto Miss Fishies neighborhood. She liked Mrs Fishie. 

Billy came out fixing his costume. He looked at Amaranthus and spun, “how do I look dear?~” She giggled, “Your hat is so big!” “What? Is something wrong with that?” He asked her. Ama held back a laugh, “...no.” “You just think big hats look silly on me don’t you?” He placed his hands on his hips, “I’ll have you know this is a normal sized witch hat.” “okay” Ama continued to bite her lip. It was just too funny to her. “oh goodness, well you look adorable.” He bent down and kissed her forehead making her smile. She was dressed up as a lolita styled pumpkin. her little jack’o lantern bucket ready at her side. She felt ready except for the fact, Mune was up in her room. Mune sadly though would not be accompanying her this night so he wouldn’t get lost.

The doorbell rang and she jumped in surprise. Billy opened up the door and in came Maggie, Vespers and Atlas. “Welcome, come in come in.” Billy shut the door once they all walked in. Ama hopped down and ran over to Vespers hugging him, “Mothman!” “Hey Wild one, look at you. Straight from the pumpkin patch.” He said as he hugged her back. Ama looked over at Atlas and tilted her head, “What are you?” “I’m Krampus!” He smiled. “What’s a Krampus?” She looked at him confused. Maggie smiled, “Krampus is well..” She looked at Billy, “Do you want her to know about them? He can be pretty scary to some kids.” Billy thought about it, “Just explain it a little bit, too much and...” Maggie gave a nod in understanding, “you see Ama, Krampus is say like Santas twin.” “Who is Santa?” She squinted at Maggie. Now there was a Santa, oh boy. She didn’t know if she could trust this Santa guy either now.

Maggie looked at Billy, “you didn’t tell her about Old Saint Nick?!” He scoffed, “I tried but she was very excited about Halloween~” With a sigh Maggie explained Santa and Krampus to Amaranthus. During this time, Jelly, Lennie, Pepper and Belinda all came with Jeff, Bubbles, and Ula as well. Once all was set they could trick or treat. 

Vespers smiled, “Well I have to go, halloween partys with Cosmos.” Jelly and Maggie smirked at him and he glared back. Amaranthus frowned, “What? Mothmans not coming...” “Sorry wild, I promised.” He patted her head gently, “I’ll see you tomorrow though.” “Promise?” She asked. “Promise” He said. She held up her pinky, Vespers gave her his pinky. “okay!” She gave a nod and ran over to the other kids. Billy looked at Vespers as he held the door open for him, “I’m going to hold you to that promise Vespers~” He smirked. “alright, heh see you two tomorrow.” He waved goodbye.

~~~~~~~~~Later~~~~

All the kids were finally ready. Little Jeff and Bubbles were dressed as Hansel and Gretel. Ula was Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Maggie unfortunately left due to forgetting something at her house, but said to continue without her. 

Which left Billy and the two couples. “Well I suppose we should all get going but first~” Billy pulled out a big bowl of candy from seemingly no where, “First treat of the night.” The kids all excitedly grabbed handfuls. Lennie looked at Billy, “Full sized candybars?” “Full sized candybars~” replied Billy, “also this is for you brother~” He threw a bag of candy Lennies way. He caught it and inspected the bag, “Gummy worms.....nice~” He pocketed them for later. The moment everyone seemed ready...Pepper was the first to run out, “Lets go!” Belinda gasped and laughed a bit, “oh goodness.” Jeff and Bubbles hurried after him. “I guess that means we get going huh?” Lennie asked everyone else. Pepper was pretty much the leader in this endeavor. He just knew where the best candy was in Billy’s neighborhood. The houses were giving away full sized candy bars just as Billy had. The kids quickly following behind Pepper who was getting candy as well. Something happened when they got to the next house though. The door was slammed in their faces. Ama frowned walking over to the adults, she pointed at the door, “Daddy you said light means candy.” Billy nodded, “Yes when the light is on it means they have candy” He looked at the house, “Did they not give you little ones anything?” All the kids nodded not happy about it. Lennie smirked, “well it’s called trick or treat for a reason~” Billy chuckled, “oh yes~ since you got no treats...it’s time for tricks~” Pepper smiled widely, “What did you guys have in mind?” The kids obviously excited to trick the owner of the home. Belinda and Jelly looked at the group. oh boy what would they do. 

----inside the house-----

The owner of the home, was watching horror movies while eating candy from a huge red bowl. Haphazardly unwrapping candy and shoving it into their mouth. The doorbell sounded and they shouted, “Go away, no candy here!” it rang again. The guy growled and stood up and ripped open the door, “I said there is no candy..here...” no one was there. He stepped out and looked around, the streets were empty. “Damn kids!” He went back inside and slammed the door shut.  Taking a seat in his chair he grabbed the bowl of candy and reached in...only to find none at all. “The fuck, where is my....Little shits...where are you?!” He stood up throwing the bowl to the floor. The lights in the house flickered on and off. He turned around to see a boy and a girl, holding hands. “How did you get in here!” He ran for them but the lights turned off...when they turned on again the children were gone. “What?! Where...” He turned around, “Where are you?” giggling was heard in the livingroom and he grabbed the nearest object to defend himself with, which happened to be a broom. In the livingroom the tv was still on but the channel had turned to static. Another child sat in front of the tv, she turned and stared at the man blankly. “How did you get in here? Get out!” she glared at him due to his yelling. The tv went out making the living room completely dark. He switched on the light and once again the child was gone. The giggling could be heard once again, and this time...down the hall. “Whoever is there show yourself. I’m warning you.” The lights flickered to life in the hallway. A small form with a pumpkin head stood at the end of it. Staring at him, the holes of the jack’o lantern were completely dark as if nothing were underneath. “Get out of my house!” He held the broom in front of him threateningly. The small form took a step forward clumsily and tripped. The jack’o lantern head fell forward and rolled towards the man. He looked down eyes wide before slowly...looking back up. The child...now..headless. He screamed and ran for the door but stopped when he saw a weird goat like creature at his door, baring its claws and teeth. He jumped out the window and booked it down the street. 

Billy, Lennie, and Pepper laughed. This was the best. Jelly and Belinda looked at the three of them. “What if he had hurt them” Belinda said. The boys looked at each other, and Lennie cleared his throat, “Trust me...he wouldn’t have laid a finger on them. He was way too terrified. All bark no bite.” The girls looked at him a bit mad. “He’s telling the truth ladies, I wouldn’t have let it continue if I knew he was going to actually hurt the children. His mind was so easy to read...” He scoffed. All the children came running out excitedly. Their bags filled with candy and their faces beaming with happy smiles. 

Jelly and Belinda looked at the kids, well....at least they had fun~.

I say “very loose” because it’s not easy translating Japanese puns that sound exactly the same in their respective verses. I couldn’t find a good word for either ‘chou’, the one meaning “peak” (among other things) and the other one meaning “over”, so I hope this is okay. The rest of it should be accurate - that is, give or take a few liberties.

(To where complications occurs)

Plot Summary: It is implied that you are not familiar with beasts and it’s your first time interacting with them. Apparently, you are also sick with some kind of illness and you are now staying separately from your family for a while.

Starts off with Hiiro crying in the rain, mentioning how all your memories with him occurred when there was rain, then it moved on to a flashback on how you and Hiiro met. 

You belong to the Shirayuri family and Hiiro’s master is a member of the Shirakawa family. 

Hiiro arrives at your house due to the fact that his master suddenly passed on and the family was in confusion, therefore he’s going to stay in your mansion for a week. He acts like a bratty and annoying kid saying stuff like don’t come near me or leave me alone. He says things like he’ll judge if you are equal with his past master and that he will evaluate you. 

The second day, you collapsed and made some noise, making Hiiro go down to check on you. This revealed a kinder side to Hiiro as he carries you up to your room and stays by your side to take care of you. It started to rain, and you get scared because of the lightning. He goes closer to you and tries to comfort you and helps you to fall asleep. (You stupid tsundere) 

After he left your house, he was supposed to visit his master’s grave before leaving the town but his relatives were forcing him to leave the town immediately. Disliking that idea, Hiiro ran away from them and met you on the streets, running away with you and telling you everything. You decide to bring him to the grave and he’s thankful for it because his master treated him like his son and is a very important person to him. He says that if you were so interested in beasts, you should ask your parents to go through proper arrangements to bring one into your house, but you flashed the “I did this because it’s you” card and he was obviously taken aback by it. 

Not wanting to go back to the Shirakawa family,  you offer him to stay in your house. You tried contacting the family about this but no one picked up the phone. A few days later, a letter came from them and after reading the letter, Hiiro runs out of the mansion in anger. You chase after him in the rain and your health condition isn’t good, therefore Hiiro brings you back to the mansion and takes care of you. He starts opening up to you, getting all shy around you when you touch him and etc. (TSUNDERE SHOWING HIS DERE I SEE)

Your condition became worse and you were taken to the hospital, leaving Hiiro in the mansion because he’s a beast and he could not enter the hospital for humans. He calls the hospital to confirm your condition and was informed that your condition was taking a toll. He starts to panic and asks the maid (I’m presuming) in the house to take him to the hospital, only to be thrown out and locked out from the mansion. 

He becomes frustrated about the fact that he couldn’t do so many things like visiting you because he was a beast. It starts to rain and he continues waiting for you. (Even though he sounds like he’s going to die.) He starts to think about the time when you two first met, on that rainy day. He falls asleep and when he wakes up, you came back. Feeling very happy, he immediately got up and ran to you, hugging you. He said that he decided that he would be honest with his feelings as before that, he was always hesitating to say his feelings to you. You tell him that your illness got cured completely and he’s so happy he technically starts planning what you two can do in the future together. He says that he will forever be by your side and confesses to you. The CD ends with him kissing you on the lips.

My Thoughts: I would not lie here, but it took me quite awhile to understand this entire CD.

Rejet did mention that this series would be so sad it will make you cry, but this CD to me is very normal, like no ups no downs, it’s just your normal drama CD with a normal plot. I usually like drama CDs that has a little special touch to it if it involves a proper plot but this one not so much.

Nobu did do a good job in portraying the changes in Hiiro’s attitude well and that was something I liked in this CD

Would I Recommend?: 7/10

I feel like something more could have done to make this CD better but this isn’t like a bad CD, it’s a very normal one and I think Rejet could have done something to spice it up a little.
